#Room#: Very comfortable, perfect for families of three or four with kids. I was traveling with two children and one adult, and my feedback is that we all slept incredibly well and had a great rest. It was quiet and the soundproofing was excellent. #Cleanliness#: Spotless. The housekeeper cleaned daily, changing sheets, duvet covers, and so on. They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety. #Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄. #Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again. I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~

The location is definitely this hotel's biggest plus point. It's a mere three to four-minute walk from the subway station, and just two stops by metro to iconic spots like The Bund, City God Temple, and Oriental Pearl TV Tower. You can easily hit multiple landmarks in a single day without any hassle. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic, with greenery everywhere. The rooms are spotless. Although there's no elevator, the staff are super helpful and will carry your large luggage for you. Luggage storage after check-out is also very convenient, making travel completely stress-free. Not sure why the ratings are so low!

This was my first time staying at an Orange Crystal Hotel. I was traveling with my parents and child, so I looked for a place close to the Bund and Yu Garden. I booked two adjoining rooms, which was really convenient for getting around. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. We stayed in a newly renovated room on the second floor (2025) and there was no strange odor. Downstairs, there's a FamilyMart convenience store and various snack shops. I have to praise the breakfast at Orange Crystal! We had just stayed at an All Seasons Hotel in Yangzhou before coming to Shanghai, and the variety at Orange Crystal was much better. The service was also excellent, I was very satisfied. If you want to be close to the Bund and the subway, I highly recommend this place.

The hotel's location is excellent, and it's clean and tidy. The staff are warm and friendly, especially the cleaning aunties who worked incredibly hard during the Spring Festival – it was very touching. The breakfast was a bit overwhelmed during the holiday period, and the dining area was quite crowded.

I was very satisfied with my choice of hotel for this trip. The surrounding transportation is convenient, with the subway being very close, saving time and effort for getting around. The room was thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained, with no strange odors, and the space was spacious and comfortable. The front desk service was warm and polite; they responded promptly to any issues and had a gentle attitude. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, the environment was quiet, and I had an excellent night's rest. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will prioritize booking here again on my next visit.

The hotel has a great location—the main shopping street and the waterfront are within walking distance. The metro is within walking distance, which is very important (a two-minute walk). This is especially important because, when returning to the hotel tired in the evening, we could quickly get from the metro to the hotel. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the reception manager, Suki — she helped us arrange our domestic flight to the Avatar Mountains (we couldn't check in or choose seats). She was a very pleasant and responsible woman! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location near to Yuyuan Garden Metro Station. Easy to go anywhere and still close to the other main attractions. Room as advertised, spacious and not hot. Good ventilation. It’s an old building and it’s a commercial building. ground floor is very cheap souvenir stores The downside is the drawers in the room is not cleaned. It’s more like decoration only. Stayed for 2 nights. Maybe book earlier to get better deal so it’s more worthy

Location is the biggest advantage. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Yu Garden and the nearby bazaar area, with a metro station literally just across the street. Getting around from here is very easy, whether you’re heading to tourist spots or other parts of the city. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. A nice modern touch is the delivery robot service, which handles in-house deliveries efficiently. You can also order from Taobao and have packages sent directly to the hotel before check-in, which is quite convenient for early arrivals or shopping-heavy trips. One downside is the package handling system. Deliveries are left in a shared corner area with other guests’ items, so you need to sort through and find yours yourself—there’s no organized storage or labeling beyond that. Laundry is free and available 24/7, which is a big plus for longer stays. However, there are only two machines, so you may need to queue during busy hours. Overall, it’s a very accessible and practical stay, especially for travelers who value location and convenience over extra hotel services.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay in Shanghai with our family. We booked club rooms, which gave us access to the Club Lounge on the 17th floor with panoramic views of Shanghai. We opted for a Suite and a Studio room. The beds and pillows were excellent. Breakfast offered everything one could wish for – especially delicious soups, noodles, and dumplings... We will definitely return. There's a metro station nearby, and the main attractions are just a 15-20 minute walk away. In the mornings, we enjoyed strolls along the waterfront. There's a small pool on the 21st floor, and the changing rooms have a steam sauna, which you need to request to be turned on in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

I am very happy to stay at this hotel because its location is very strategic, with a lot of food vendors right in front of the hotel. It is close to Yu Garden and the metro a walk of less than 5 minutes gets you there. The receptionist, XingZi, is very friendly and extremely helpful. She kindly upgraded our room, which was initially too small, to a larger room with a bigger bed. XingZi also helped me a lot in managing my Taobao package delivery that I hadn't received. My family and I highly recommend this hotel and are very satisfied with XingZi's service, thank you 😊
