GGuest UserWe always try and book this hotel the day before we fly away on holidays. It's so convenient walking the 10mins to the airport. We hav6a relaxing evening with something to eat and drink before heading up to our comfortable room, as we are always up early for our early flight. Nice to have a quick breakfast as well. Although the hot breakfast doesn't start until 6am.

SShaun400seThe Moxy at EDI airport always works for us. It’s handy, polished, efficient and great value. However on this occasion our late night arrival (at 0130) to get some much needed sleep after a long late night journey, prior to picking up a hire car from AVIS at 0900 the following morning was selfishly marred by fellow guests. Bluntly put, an apparently “elderly couple” in the room directly above us, on the 3rd floor of the hotel, had an early check in for a 7am flight. So they decided to get up at 2am! And they shuffled and they banged and they clanged and they knocked and they farted about for a period of 2+ hours until gone 4am when HALLELUJAH they finally left! I have suggested to the hotel - the night manager btw was superb and did his best to deal with the situation, albeit to little effect - that ANYONE checking out for an early flight should be put in a ground or first floor room, so as not to create problems for fellow guests and incidentally - as we entered our room, showered and went to bed, we were as quiet as MICE so as not to put other fellow guests through exactly what we were then subjected to. This issue is not really a hotel problem, it’s just selfish people at work, not thinking about the consequences of their actions, however the hotel probably could do with a check box when booking along the lines of “will you be checking in late or checking out early, if so please request a room on the ground or 1st floors” Simples!

GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay at the Ibis on the Royal mile. Our room was modern, adequate in size. The temperature was just right and the bed comfortable. The location was excellent. We stayed at the back of the hotel and wasn’t bothered by a lot of noise. I would definitely recommend and will go back one day. An excellent choice and great value.

LlyntravelstoI recently stayed at this hotel during my solo trip to Edinburgh, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel safe and looked after throughout my stay. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed.

GGuest UserThe only thing that was good about this hotel was the location- the most central. Everything else was pretty bad. I have requested a room with a nice view for our special occasion but was given a room with the view of the industrial back wall. Called the manager and he came and apologised and said there were no other rooms left. The room itself was outdated, looked like a hostel rather than a hotel. We have travelled a lot but this was the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our special occasion was ruined. The room was so tiny that it was difficult to squeeze a suitcase between the bed and the wall. The TV had no internet connected. There was no mini fridge. The bathroom entry door was a squeeze. The toilet was so close to the wall that you would be pushed into a wall. No toilet brush either. For the expensive price paid they didn’t even give us a bottle of water or a biscuit. The restaurant is under refurbishment this time and they provide tea/coffee and pastries on level 3 for breakfast free. There is a limited expensive menu to order from reception to your room if you need. The luggage storage facility is limited. When checking out many people were told there was no more room for the luggage storage and those people had to go and look for the pricey luggage storage outside. We met some people also complaining about the hotel. Will never come back to this hotel again.

GGuest UserI booked a king-size bed room and requested a quiet and non-smoking room. Due to language problems, the check-in was very considerate. The front desk could store my luggage. The waiter took me to the room. Everyone was very friendly, which made me feel like God's treatment. The most important thing was that the room was clean and tidy as soon as I entered it, and the decoration was also very new. Wow, it was the blue-green color that I really liked. The whole room was warm and romantic, and I felt like I was back home. It was a very beautiful room and a very satisfactory stay experience. I will choose this place again next time. I must give them a big praise, like it! ! !

SSuSie-THGood location, the hotel located near highlight spot of Edinburgh. The reception staff were very friendly and upgraded my room. I received a spacious room that was fully equipped, with both a heater and air conditioning, making my vacation absolutely perfect. I will definitely return again.

JjiexiangA typical Holiday Inn hotel. We booked a triple family room with a double bed and a sofa bed. The room wasn't very big, but it was quite clean. The hotel's location is actually on Cowgate Street, which intersects with the Royal Mile, and it's on the street directly below it. Edinburgh's streets are quite hilly, so dragging luggage around was a real struggle.

RRaijI had a really pleasant stay at the Britannia Hotel in Edinburgh with my fiancée. The location was one of the biggest highlights — it’s very accessible to major attractions, especially Dean Village, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The breakfast was great with a good variety of options, and it was a perfect start to our mornings. The food overall was satisfying and well-prepared. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had all the basic amenities required for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. A great choice for anyone looking for a convenient location, good food, and welcoming service in Edinburgh.

GGuest UserThe room was much better than expected, clean and comfortable. Self-service check-in and check-out were quick and convenient. If you don't know how to use it, you can call and ask for patient guidance. If you don't know how to use the access control, you can ask the staff. The location is far from the city center and various attractions, about 30 minutes walk, but you can take the bus. In summary, it is still a good choice. After all, hotels in Edinburgh are crazy expensive. I will stay in this hotel again.
