YYimin DENGBooked this for my parents. The facilities are comprehensive, the location is excellent, the bed is very comfortable, and the hygiene is great. My parents loved it and couldn't stop praising it. Parking needs to be reserved in advance.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to get around. The environment is also quite good. The room is a bit small but very clean. There's no kettle, so I had to go downstairs to get hot water every time, which wasn't very convenient. Breakfast was decent, just the usual British breakfast items.

AAnonymous UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel! During the off-season, the value for money was excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk from Princes Street, but there's a bus stop right outside, and you can also get there in 15-20 minutes on foot. All the staff were very friendly, and I had a great experience. On my last day, I had an early train, and after I mentioned it, they even packed breakfast for me, which was incredibly thoughtful. Five-star rating!

YYiersan✌️Overall, I'm really happy with this hotel. The location is super convenient, the room facilities are comfortable, and I slept great at night. The room and bathroom were a bit small, and the soundproofing wasn't the best, but thankfully the other guests were quiet late at night. The off-season price wasn't too expensive, so it was pretty good value for money.

SSMarieI really enjoyed my four days. Wonderful hotel the team was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. Great location easy to get to from the Station/airport. Good trams service along Princes Street. Plenty of buses along South Bridge which is a short walk. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the swimming pool. The lounge near the reception area is a little chilly but a nice spot to relax with a warm drink. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend. Rooms Good size room, fantastic shower and products. Bed was very comfortable. It was a tad cold so I requested a blanket which was very snug. Bonus having a fridge and complimentary water nice touch. Tea/coffee try was good but would be great to have some hot chocolate. Nearby activities Holyrood Palace and gardens on your doorstep along with great views of Arthur Seat. Five minutes walk to the Royal Mile. Food and drinks There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I found the food a bit hit and miss to be honest. Breakfast is great with a great choice in food for all palettes. Warm friendly service.

GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing. We arrived very late due to heavy snow- they checked us in and organised an extra bed literally within 2 minutes of arriving. The service is efficient and rapid. The gentleman who looked after our room in house keeping was awesome, he helped us settle in and the little touches to make the kids feel special was duly noted. The manager down on the reception desk was excellent. Everything is managed very well, there is no waiting and the service is outstanding. The view at breakfast is amazing! Mountains in the distance covered in snow. Our stay was better than expected. Parking ✅ Swimming pool and sauna ✅ Food ✅ Service ✅ The hotel location is convenient and the restaurant space is open plan and cosy yet very busy. The hotel does need some updated but everything works well. The location is literally next to the zoo and the overflow car park 🅿️ is next to the hotel. The staff here are outstanding. High praise. Thank you.

GGuest UserThe hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and I had the chance to see both the pre-renovation and post-renovation rooms. There's a significant difference. The older rooms were just 'okay,' but the renovated ones are absolutely beautiful, on par with five-star hotels in China. The location is fantastic, right next to the large green spaces of the University of Edinburgh, and many attractions are within walking distance. Plus, there are plenty of Chinese restaurants nearby. My only minor disappointment is that the hotel kitchen only has a microwave, no induction hob, so you can't really cook for yourself.

OOllieSFairly average hotel. Not worth the prices they charge. Emailed reception 3 times before arrival, not one reply. Room was nice and modern. Bed was comfy and shower was strong. Windows were only single glazed and looked over the train station which meant it was noisy even through the night. The executive lounge isnt really an executive lounge. Its just the breakfast room. Offering was fairly basic. Coffee machine didnt work much during our stay. On the lower ground floor so no windows. The old lounge upstairs was much better. Clearly cutting back on what they offer to save money. Breakfast was clearly designed for the American market. Crispy streaky bacon etc. Not what you normally get in the UK. Not the worst breakfast we've had but certainly not up to Hilton standard. Again, coffee machines not switched on so only standard coffee and tea was available, no cappuccino etc. Wouldn't stay here again. There are many hotels in Edinburgh that offer much better value for the price charged.
