"The hotel is conveniently located just over a hundred meters from Haymarket train station, and tram and bus stops, making transportation easy. There are many bars and supermarkets nearby, and it's about a twenty-minute walk to the Old Town, Edinburgh University, Princes Street, and the Castle, which is very convenient. The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the rooms are quite spacious; a family of three with an extra bed doesn't feel cramped. The rooms have no strange odors, and they are quiet and soundproof. The breakfast is abundant, with almond milk and oat milk being particularly noteworthy, and a good variety of breads and fruits. I recommend this hotel for family trips."

"Brilliant location especially for the fringe festival, it meant I was able to catch a show after checking out as they had free festival shows downstairs in the bar. My light was broken and unusable, but other than that the dorm on the 4th floor was quiet enough didnt hear any of the noise from the bar downstairs which is great, only issue was from guests not from the hostel itself, guests on the last night came in at 1.30am and started making their beds as only one of them had made their bed during check in, I guess the hostel could advise guests to make their beds at check in instead of waiting until they come back to do it, or explain general expectations of sharing rooms with others to be mindful of other guests as the 3 girls didnt turn the light off or stop talking in the room until 4am and then left the room again at 7.30am"

"The room was clean; however, it was poorly lit, and the dark wall colors did not help at all. Although we chose a room without windows, we did not expect such poor ventilation or effectively none at all. Our room was located on the ground floor, and there was no reception, while the hotel Wi-Fi also did not work downstairs. Soundproofing was very poor, which contributed to a situation that left us quite dissatisfied. While my friend was in the common area trying to get a connection, she was disturbed by guests who were clearly intoxicated and were rude and abusive towards her. When I went to get her, I was also sworn at, and we quickly returned to our room to avoid the situation. She also noticed that several people passing through seemed to be familiar with these guests and did not acknowledgethe ongoing situation. Later in the evening, around 21:00, one guest began crying loudly and there was a heated argument between them and another guest. Due to the poor soundproofing, we could hear everything clearly. We tried contacting reception about the situation, but they did not answer our calls. We felt unsafe leaving the room. Eventually, someone came down and only asked the guests if they were okay, and the situation was left unresolved. The noise continued for quite some time, and our sleep was significantly disturbed. Overall, we felt unsafe staying here."

"The hotel is newly renovated, but still has a slight smell of new furnishings. It's located on campus, so it's very quiet with a strong academic atmosphere. The bus stop right outside is super convenient. There's also a beautifully decorated restaurant downstairs."

"We booked this hotel not knowing that it is literally next to the zoo. So it was a pleasant surprise and we decided to include the Edinburgh Zoo as part of our itinerary when we were there. There’re bus stops infront of the hotel that conveniently transport us to the city centre in 15min; as well as to the airport. The bus systems there are superb and most of the times the buses arrived on schedule. There are no bottled mineral water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb or other sanitary products (except for shower gel, shampoo and handwash) provided in the room. However, there is a note pasted in the toilet that one has to ask for these items at the reception counter if one requires any of these. We didnt notice the pasted note in the toilet; thus we did not ask for these during our stay.. We were also surprised that there was no mini fridge or safe which are normally provided in a hotel room. Nonetheless we were happy when there’s an iron and ironing board in our room. We noticed that the housekeeping service usually starts around 9am. We were in the room at around 9.30am when someone from the housekeeping dept tried to open the door. So if you intend to wake up late, we suggest to keep your door locked and latched. Their housekeeping is efficient as we think they need to be on schedule but many times our used cups were not cleaned thoroughly (or replaced) as there were still stains in the cups. 1 day 1 of our half-drink bottled drinks was removed from the table which we presumed the housekeeper could have thrown it away. On the whole, it’s a pleasant stay for our family."

"This is a truly great hotel. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable, almost perfect. I was amazed at how spotless it was; there wasn't a speck of dust even in the corners. The water pressure in the bathroom was also excellent. I couldn't hear any outside noise, and the bed was spacious and cozy, making it very comfortable to use. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the chance to revisit."

"This hotel is located next to a train station on the outskirts of Edinburgh, with a tram stop nearby for easy access to the city center or the airport. There's also a large supermarket just across the road, which is quite convenient. The room itself was fairly spacious, though I found it odd that there were no power outlets by the bed. It was a bunk bed setup, designed to sleep three, but for a single traveler, the top bunk just served as extra storage. As for cleanliness, it wasn't the most thorough. On the first day, the cleaning staff left the trash bin next to a chair and completely forgot to empty it. Later, I dropped some breadcrumbs on the floor, and even after moving chairs and other obstacles out of the way for two consecutive days, they still didn't bother to sweep. I really couldn't understand why."

"Good hotel. We stayed with friends for one night in a family room. Breakfast was included and started at 5:30 AM, which was convenient for us as we had an early morning departure. I recommend this hotel."

"The receptionist, Lisa, was lovely and incredibly nice. The accommodation is in a great location, within walking distance from the train station, which is very convenient for anyone arriving from England. It's also close to the Royal Mile and other attractions."

"This hotel is conveniently located near Haymarket Station, making it easy to get to all of Edinburgh's attractions. It was cherry blossom season during my stay, and the entire city was breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel breakfast was very extensive, and they even offered local specialties like Haggis to try. My only minor regret was that after checking in, I noticed the bed type was incorrect from what I'd booked. However, the front desk promptly resolved the issue for me. Overall, I highly recommend it!"
