11002021962The environment is elegant, and I really liked the Western and Japanese style rooms. The spa was also very comfortable 😌... Breakfast is too early, 7:30 and 8:00 – I'm still half asleep! This is a vacation, not going to work. Can't the time be pushed back a bit? We booked dinner, but we arrived late at 7:50 PM, and dinner was gone. We had called them at 7:10 PM to let them know we were stuck in traffic, but the hotel said dinner was gone and wouldn't refund us 😏.

AavlatkaIt is far from Tobu Niko station and relatively close to the main attractions. Of the pluses, two private onsens can be accommodated in two or three. One is laid out with a tile, the other is stone (used by a great demand, understandable case). If you take the onsen, no one will enter it anymore. To let the guests know whether the onsen is free and which special signal lamps are made, it is convenient. The Onsens work from 16 to 23 hours, so it is impossible to get down in the morning. Like I think, the water is cold and the rooms are closed - I love outdoors. The breakfast was unexpected, but they are fed exclusively with different baking (for a long time, so many tests have not eaten). It is also possible to buy frozen dishes for cheap and immediately distribute them in a microwave. In the bathroom and toilet room, the yucata is issued on demand. A beautiful living room where you can sit in the evening (if not too many guests). Here, where to sit in the street evening, it is not very clear, because near the Onsens there is a smoke zone with shops, but there is not a very nice smell.

Mmeaw_socuteThis accommodation is great! However, you have to take a local train from Nikko Station and then walk about 6-7 minutes to get here. I wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling alone because the town is very quiet. It's better to come with friends or family. If you rent a car, it would be perfect as the hotel provides parking. The room itself is excellent, with a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, and kettle. It even has a private onsen bath, which is a huge plus! If I visit Nikko again, I will definitely stay here. It's truly wonderful.

KKajujuThere are various hot springs, and both the open-air and indoor baths are sulfur hot springs, which were amazing!! The food was mainly mountain vegetables, and the draft beer and lemon sour after the hot spring were delicious! It takes quite a while, 100 minutes by local bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station, followed by a 30-minute shuttle bus, but it's a truly hidden hot spring where you can enjoy something out of the ordinary. I'd seen the bathkeeper on TV, and he was friendly, but also passionate, so it was fun to talk to him. Next time I'd like to go during the snowy season.

GGuest UserThe location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here

JJ. SimonThe hotel is around 10mins walk from Kinugawa-Onsen Station. Although there are many abandoned hotels, shops, residences, buildings around the surrounding area, I can still explore the area as the street lights are lit in the evening. The hotel is divided into different wings and occupies a large area. I stayed in the upper floors of the hotel’s main building (Kirakukan) but there’s an option to stay at the hotel’s park-cottages that is built on the cliff of the riverbank and overlooks the Kinugawa river. The Kinugawa Park Cottage is located separately further away from the main building. I only noticed a local Japanese family of four or five persons being escorted by the hotel staff to one of the cottages. Other than that one-off encounter, I didn’t see anyone else at the area around the cottage which is also super quiet. Likewise for the other wings of the hotel i.e. Kinoyakata and Kishintei, I didn’t see any guests maybe due to low season. Love the onsen and the private open-air bath, the traditional Japanese kaiseiki breakfast and dinner. There’s also a souvenir shop, ramen & snack shop as well as an outdoor swimming pool which I couldn’t use as it is only available for use come summer time. Just across the road from the hotel, there’s the Waterside Cafe Terrace, a 7-Eleven convenience store adjacent to the hotel and since there’s no self-service washing machine/dryer in the hotel, the nearest 24h laundromat is around a 5-min walk from the hotel located behind the Waterside Cafe Terrace and across the road facing “Galarie Cafe Painto E”. On the day of check-out, the hotel helped to store my luggage and I had lunch at “Suzukawa Cafe” just next to Galarie Cafe Painto E. The food prices here are slightly cheaper than the ones near Kinugawa-Onsen station.

EEMM.tripI was generally satisfied and would like to use it again, but there were a few things that bothered me. ◆About the hot springs It was great that the men's and women's baths were alternated and different types of hot springs could be enjoyed depending on the time of day. Points of concern: The hot springs and open-air baths are quite open, and it seems like you can see them from outside. You can see the bridge from the bath, but you can see the faces of people walking by, so I felt that the baths could be seen from the bridge side. ◆About cleanliness Basically, it is well cleaned and there is no problem spending time there. However, I was concerned about the fact that there were a lot of dead insects in the container that covers the light bulb of the room (the dead insects had accumulated on the ceiling light, and black dots were visible). ◆Access was very good and I was satisfied. All major tourist spots and stations are within walking distance.

GGuest UserI don’t understand why someone would leave a negative review due to their own negligence. Trip.com clearly mentioned the additional 300-yen tax (I assume this is the onsen tax) per person, yet they still claimed they were “scammed.” My overall experience at Hotel Euro City was wonderful. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the shuttle bus service was amazing. If you want to get to the hotel easily, check the shuttle schedule on the hotel’s homepage so you don’t have to walk from the station. They run it every day at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 15:15, 16:15, 17:15, and 18:15 from “Nikko Station Hotel Classic,” right next to JR Nikko Station. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the onsen in the backyard was great. It’s true that the room had a mild smell, but I assume it was due to recent pest control (it smelled like pesticide). Just open the windows for a while and it goes away. Breakfast was okay—not as fancy as in the advertisements, maybe because it wasn’t peak season. Overall, I think this is a very good choice, especially if you’re traveling with family.

玩转星球-KevinThe most important buffet dinner during the stay was served very late, and the dishes were often empty, which is very rare in Japan. Because it was less than 700 yuan and included two meals, although the hotel had many flaws, it was understandable, but the faucet in the room seemed to be broken, and the water flow was not smooth, which should be replaced. Overall, this room was acceptable.
