Love this cosy little hotel! There’s no elevator but the staff very kindly brought our luggages up to the third floor! The room was small yet included everything we needed & the bedding/pillows were fantastic! Location was close enough to the main city sights, yet tucked away in a quiet lane to let us have a good night’s rest. There’s also a very cute dog here!! Will 100% stay here again in future! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

This guesthouse was unexpectedly warm and inviting. After a long and tiring day of travel, arriving here and seeing the cozy decor instantly melted away my fatigue. But what truly stood out, even more than the cleanliness and pleasant environment, was the exceptional service from the front desk staff, making me feel like I was staying in a five-star hotel. While everyone provided great service, one particular young lady was incredibly warm and helpful. I had originally only booked for two days, planning to check out after sightseeing with my child and head straight to the high-speed train station for our onward journey to Yangzhou. However, we had so much fun that we stayed out too late and missed our train. Our room was already checked out, and the guesthouse was fully booked. The front desk lady then took me to find a hotel nearby. I was about to go back to their guesthouse to get our luggage, but after a day of chasing after my child, I was completely exhausted and couldn't walk another step. To my surprise, she actually brought our luggage to our new hotel. The service and environment were truly beyond my expectations. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Facilities: Generally, the shower is bad, half of the water is out of the cockroach Hygienic: Generally, the toilet door is facing the bed, and there is a big smell. It is obviously not cleaned up, but the better thing is that when I checked in the next day, I found that the room had been cleaned up and the smell was much smaller, but I didn’t tell me before I cleaned up. Environment: The environment is good, the windows are large, although it is broken and cannot be opened, the corridors belonging to the gray space are very dark, there is no light, all rely on moonlight and the lights on the other end, it is scary to walk at night, the water is not cleaned in time, the laundry room is very dim, and the facilities are relatively old. Service: Great, the attitude of the service staff is very good, but a bit too good, so that someone in my circle has been crying in the middle of the night like **, the hotel staff said that it was dissuaded but the guest did not listen, so she let her disturb our circle of guests sleep, We came to the store to rest, not to the adventure, this matter had other solutions, but she let her cry all night, resulting in our circle of guests not sleeping all night

Unexpectedly good! Both front desk ladies were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The small courtyard was exquisite. Just across the road is Laomendong, which is super convenient. What made me happiest were the little birds and cats. It's pet-friendly, and there were guests with cute little dogs.

Pros: 1. The entire place is smart-enabled, from the curtains and lighting to the toilet and mirror. Everything is automated, and the facilities are very clean. 2. What impressed me most was that the hairdryer here didn't feel cheap at all. 3. Although the space isn't as large as a typical hotel room, I found it perfectly suited for one person, and it would also feel cozy for two. It has a refined ambiance, which is quite rare. 4. This accommodation also provides shoe-shine cloths. The washing machine is great too, and comes with a dryer. 5. It's very close to all the nearby attractions, so you won't spend much on taxis. You can basically walk or take the subway. 6. The mattress and duvet are incredibly comfortable! I slept very well! In every aspect, I feel it rivals hotels priced around 200 (the space might be a drawback, but for those who love a cozy feel, it's an excellent choice). 7. The milk tea and fruit juice at the front desk are delicious! Definitely worth trying. The hotel's fragrance isn't a cheap one; it's pleasant and not overpowering. 8. It's also worth mentioning their shampoo and toiletries; they left my hair feeling smooth, not frizzy. While not big brands, for a hotel, they're quite good. Cons: 1. ”No disposable bath towels”: Even though it's newly opened and the room is thoughtfully decorated with some small amenities (shoe-shine cloths, disposable toilet seat covers), the cost of disposable bath towels in bulk should be very low. Perhaps the owner considered the cost (or didn't want to use cheap disposable bath towels), but I think for someone who is a bit of a clean freak, this is quite important. After all, even if the towels provided by the hotel are disinfected, if the previous guest used them to wipe their feet or bottom, I'd still be hesitant to use them on my face. Disposable bath towels would solve this problem perfectly. 2. The washing machine and dryer should be clearly labeled (though perhaps I just didn't notice). Initially, I couldn't tell the difference between them, and only figured it out after looking at the buttons. 3. I once stayed at a chain hotel where the cleaning staff noticed I had a mouse, and when I returned to my room, they had placed a mouse pad for me. However, LBED didn't provide this. If this hotel's service were a bit more attentive, it might be even more popular. I sincerely wish the owner of this hotel a thriving business. I will definitely book this hotel again if I visit the area in the future.

GGuest User 2026.02.07
The location is fantastic, right in the city center with two malls nearby, making shopping incredibly convenient. It's just one subway stop to Sanyang Plaza, Wuxi's CBD, and not far from Nanchang Street and Huishan Ancient Town, which is super handy. Plus, the prices in Wuxi, especially for taxis, are quite reasonable. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the afternoon tea set was a real highlight; you can tell the hotel puts a lot of thought into things. Upon arrival, I received a small gift, which, though small, was a lovely touch and made me feel very welcome. The room itself was spacious, and being on the 20th floor, the night view from the window was absolutely stunning, with all the city lights twinkling. The only downside is for guests driving, as the parking situation isn't great due to its prime location. There are only 2 or 3 parking spots, and they're very cramped. Luckily, I arrived at noon and found an empty space, but leaving was tricky with limited turning room, definitely testing your driving skills! This wouldn't be an issue at all for guests arriving by high-speed train.

Luxian Light Luxury Inn was perfect for our stay in Suzhou. It was so easy to get to & from Suzhou Railway Station (we enjoyed a 25 minute walk from the station on arrival and caught the subway the 1 station back when we left). There are so many great food options nearby & we really appreciated the receptionist's dinner recommendation to go to Wuji Xiaoyuanlou (Baita West Road Head Office). This hotel is in walking distance to Suzhou Museum (get that booking 7 days in advance to secure your spot), Humble Administrator's Garden, and Pingjiang Road. We biked from this hotel to Tiger Hill (approx 25-30mins) and biked back to it from Shantang Road. Suzhou is beautiful & this hotel matches it perfectly. Stay here if you'd like a relaxing time, a beautiful room, and really friendly & kind staff. We only stayed here one night, and our only regret from our trip is that we didn't extend it to 2 or 3. Some things worth noting: I have survivable Mandarin so it helped with communication with the staff, their warmth though was evident despite the language barrier. The bed was super comfy, the subway is nearby so we could feel it a little but it didn't stop us from having an excellent night's sleep. Despite being on a main road, we were surprised we couldn't hear anything in the room, even hearing some birds & just general quietness. Huge thanks to the staff, 谢谢大家

Choosing this hotel for our family trip was such a smart decision! Its location near the attractions made traveling with kids incredibly convenient. The room was spacious enough to easily fit a stroller, and the bedding was so comfortable and light, our child slept soundly. The cleanliness was impeccable; not a speck of dust even in the corners, and the anti-slip features in the bathroom were a thoughtful touch. The staff were very friendly and proactively helped us get a quiet room. The hotel's soundproofing is excellent, making for a wonderfully peaceful night. Overall, the experience was fantastic and I'd highly recommend it to all families.

Traveling on the 8th day of the Chinese New Year, I chose this hotel on Nanchang Street. The security guard at the entrance and front desk staff member #29 were both incredibly welcoming and enthusiastically helped resolve any issues we had. The room was very spacious and bright; even though it was street-facing with sealed windows, it didn't feel stuffy at all. The hotel's location is excellent. Turn left when you leave, and it's a short walk to Nanchan Temple. Turn right, and you're right at Qiaoming Bridge Pedestrian Street. The pedestrian street has everything you could ask for, it's fantastic!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to various attractions like Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, and also conveniently close to the subway station. The front desk staff, especially one young man, was very enthusiastic and helped with our luggage. They also thoughtfully provided tips for dining, entertainment, and local travel. There's no elevator, which might be inconvenient for older guests. The shower room is a bit small, and the room facilities are a bit dated. It's lively during the day due to its roadside location but quiet at night. Overall, it's a good choice for a short 1-2 day stay. Recommended.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the old location of Suzhou so the surrounding areas are all full of cultural experiences. The location is ideal for visiting several gardens such as The Couple's Retreat Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Humble Administrator's Garden (all within walking distance). However, it is a bit difficult to reach by car, as you would have to cross a small bridge and go over slightly rough roads (not ideal for multiple luggage, especially large ones). The hotel breakfast is soup noodles, with 8 different options, and it comes with a dessert (mung bean cake, a local specialty). It does get a bit tiring and repetitive once you eat it for a long time though. But, there are plenty of other alternative options up and down the street the hotel is located in. Various food stalls, restaurants, and even bakeries are all located within walking distance. The hotel also provides a ticketed experience to a local activity known as 评弹, a type of operatic singing famous for its soothing sound and tendency to invoke sleepiness. The hotel rooms are neat and kept clean with no odor. Throughout the hotel, a pleasing scent was smelled and it seems that one could buy the same scent from one of the various stalls open on the street. The bathroom amenities include: hair dryer, bath robes, toothbrushes, a vanity set, razor, and a comb (along with another item that slipped my mind). The toilet is automated and has a heated seat. Unfortunately, the showers are a bit difficult to use (low water pressure and difficulty in setting temperature). There are three settings for the shower: overhead, handheld, and spout. The rooms that we ordered (two single beds) included a sitting room furnished with a rocking chair and a mini fridge (drinks inside have to be paid for). The water bottles placed outside the fridge and the snacks on the table are complimentary and free of charge. The hotel also has a laundry machine that both washes and dries the clothes. Sadly, it doesn't properly dry clothes if more than 1.5 sets of clothing are placed inside. Drying racks and clothing hangers are provided for such scenarios. Laundry baskets were also provided. The hotel does not have elevators, given the antiquity of the neighborhood, so heavy luggage and suitcases have to be carried by hand up the stairs. The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful with anything we needed. We had a total of 8 suitcases (5 checked and 3 carry-ons) and the staff (overnight as we checked in at around 12 AM) voluntarily led us to the room and helped carry our bags up. When we ran into a problem with the laundry machine, the staff helped clear up the misunderstanding. Attached are photos of the lobby (picture of the table with the tea sets), the hotel room that was booked (the other room looked the same, just mirrored placement), the sitting room, and complimentary food that was provided.

HHalf Gwailo ABCOverall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

GGuest UserThe hotel is excellent, with new furnishings. The room has no strange odors, just a faint, pleasant scent. It's very close to Shantang Street, and transportation is super convenient – within 500 meters, you'll find a subway station, bus stop, and the MixC World shopping mall. The hotel staff (especially the ladies) provided great service. Five-star rating across the board! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. Oh, and I booked a balcony room, which was very comfortable.

CCyfer3185Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested. Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me. I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help. There is also no laundry facilities on site. Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!
