If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this location might just suit you — provided you’re comfortable with being quite far from anything of note. That said, it’s not entirely cut off; there’s a bus stop directly outside with services running roughly every 15 and 30 minutes, which does make getting around manageable. The setting is quiet and relaxing, with a pleasant bar on-site and a decent selection of tapas, which added a nice touch to the evenings. However, there were a few drawbacks during our stay. The television in the room didn’t work at all — unsure if it was just the batteries in the remote or a more serious issue, but we couldn’t get any power to it, which was a shame. Breakfast was tidy and kept us going, but it did become repetitive after a couple of days. The pastries in particular were a bit disappointing — rather dry and not the freshest. Overall, it’s a good spot if you value tranquillity and can cope with a bit of isolation. With reliable transport links it offers a relaxing base, albeit with room for improvement in a few areas. There is a confidence shop and a bar that does food about 10 mins walk away and playground for children mostly in neighbourhood of homes though.

Overall, it's a great choice. The airport shuttle runs from 5 AM to 11 PM, every half hour in the early mornings and late evenings, and every 10 minutes during the day. We stayed for three days and rented a car for two of them. Parking was free, and we could take the hotel's airport shuttle to pick up and drop off the rental car at the airport. For pick-up, you need to wait outside the departure gates on the third floor. The shuttle is a black 9-seater Mercedes-Benz. Breakfast is a bit simple, but they offer takeout, which is very convenient. I would definitely come back again.

Overall good experience, good stay, good price, good sized room. Location was good. Beds were comfortable and not too small. Room was basic but we knew that going in. There was a microwave wave and fridge. It took us a while to figure out the air conditioning but it worked. There wasn’t soap in the bathroom. Some issues were that it being a dorm it didn’t have things that you would find in a hotel room like a blow dryer or cups. So we could heat water in microwave but we had to buy cups to hold the water in. If we had access to a kettle or a blow dryer or mugs, even paying to rent one would have made things easier. The laundry room did not accept coins so we had to download an app to wash our chonies. I’m not sure giving some app my credit info to be able to clean my chonies was worth it.

A True Gem That Feels Like a 4-Star Hotel! My stay at the Sercotel Arenal Bilbao was flawless. The hotel is absolutely spotless, with lovely decor and beautiful views from the room. The entire hotel, from the elegant lobby to my room, was spotless. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes immense pride in their work, ensuring a pristine and hygienic environment that immediately made me feel at ease. The reception staff provided excellent, warm service. The breakfast was perfect—not too big, not too small, but just the right selection for an amazing start to the day. The management is clearly doing a fantastic job. With this level of quality and attention to detail, this hotel truly operates like a four-star property. I can't wait to return.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. A bit further out from city centre than initially anticipated and not in the nicest part of the city but fairly accessible from the local metro station.

REPAS QUI EST DIT RESTAURANT EST PLUS UN SNACKING QU'UN RESTAURANT RAPPORT QUALITÉ PRIX TROP CHER MAIS DÉPANNE D'où le tarif surement. Dommage, car les chambres sont grandes et propre avec un personnel d'accueil et de restauration très souriant.

Een oud en daarmee erg gehorig hotel. Toen bijvoorbeeld mijn bovenburen hun wandelschoenen uitschopten, maakte dat zo'n lawaai dat ik van schrik rechtop in bed zat. Kamer okay, in de zin dat alles er is Niet erg gezellig. Ontbijt basic, bv. slechts 2 soorten hartig broodbeleg. Het avondeten daarentegen (3 gangenmenu met per gang 5 keuzes) was top. Ook de vriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van de receptionistes was fantastisch. Het hotel is dicht bij zee en 20 minuten lopen van trein en bus.

The hotel was in a great location - walking distance to everywhere and only ten minutes from the bus stop coming from the airport. Lots of bars and eateries near-by and not far from the main shopping area in one direction and the football stadium in the other. The bedroom was spacious and clean but pretty basic. The room was quiet. The buffet breakfast was excellent (apart from the coffee) and the hotel had a small bar and seating area that was usually busy. A decent spot that is usually well-priced ( I was there for rugby and it was over-priced!)

We stayed here for two nights. The rate was a little expensive, but we booked the hotel only two weeks before our trip. The hotel is located in an industrial area, but it’s conveniently close to the train station, making it easy to get to Bilbao. The room was spacious and very clean, and the hotel staff were friendly and polite. If you arrive by car, the hotel offers free parking either on-site or nearby. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Everything was perfect, especially considering it was one of the cheapest options available. The hotel offered great value for money, with clean rooms and good service. It is located a little distance from the city centre, bus station, and train station, but it was still manageable and worth it for the price. Overall, a very good stay and I would recommend it for budget travelers. ⭐👍
