Amazing
JJinwanbidalaohuExceeded expectations! This is by far one of the best value-for-money hotels in Manila. The overall cleanliness was superb, facilities were excellent, and the decor was uniquely stylish and elegant—much better than what you'd find in the BGC area!

GGuest UserFive-star service: From checking in to checking out, from interacting with the concierge to the hotel staff, we were always treated with a warm smile, courteous service, and anticipation of the next need. The breakfast was just out of this world. It has the best selection of food from all over. My family and I loved our stay at the Fairmont Makati.

GGuest UserThe New World Makati Hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of the central business district, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with comfortable bedding and comprehensive amenities. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views. The hotel's pool and fitness areas are elegantly designed, and the breakfast spread is diverse and delicious. The staff are attentive, thoughtful, and respond promptly. Overall, the hotel has a sophisticated and grand ambiance, suitable for both business travelers and leisure guests. My stay was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

Kkarei88The overall ambiance is very upscale, and the hotel's design and atmosphere really give off a resort vibe. However, the service details were just average. The lobby also doubles as the afternoon tea area, and there were barely enough seats to briefly rest before checking in, making the whole area feel quite noisy. Upon arrival, no staff proactively offered to help with luggage. During check-in, my room wasn't ready, but the hotel didn't immediately explain why. Instead, they used vague statements to delay, telling me to wait for the room number to be notified via email. After I repeatedly pressed for an answer, I was finally told the room was still being cleaned, which was not a great experience. For breakfast service, the coconut juice I ordered took a long time to arrive and tasted mediocre. Overall, the facilities and environment are excellent, but there's room for improvement in service details and communication transparency.

IiYooootFor a 5 star hotel, the service is very annoying. They would call me randomly to ask for feedback a few hours after I checked in. They would knock on my door early in the morning while I'm still sleeping to do a ”room check”... On the day of my check out, I had a knock on the door a bit past 9am, I ignored it as I was still in bed but they kept ringing the bell. I finally got up and the lady asked ”is there anything I can help with?”. Yes leave me alone. I went back to bed to rest and then got a phone call soon after as a reminder that check out is at 12pm. It's not even 10am yet and your staff already interrupted my sleep twice. Trying to get the room clean involves multiple phone calls. Once I left it to see how long it would take but at 6pm, I had to call since they never came during the day. Another time they cleaned, the cleaners said they ran out of towels so there would be someone who would deliver soon. I forgot about it until we went to have a shower and then it took almost an hour for the towels to arrive so we had to wait to use the bathroom as they took away the dirty towels so we didn't have anything to dry ourselves. Don't order room service. The food is very bad. I actually gagged on a drink they prepared. The TV is very old, they are still using cable technology. WiFi is patchy. Trying to get up and down the lift is a nightmare if you come at the wrong time as the line gets backed up all the way out into the street. My girlfriend was stopped by over eager security staff when she was trying to leave to buy some snacks as the room service meals were so bad even tho she had a room key and they would not let her up to the lobby on the 6th floor without me. Instead, I had to go down and pick her up from the ground floor where she was sitting in the corner like she was in trouble.

GGuest UserThis is a classic hotel, well located, full service (though a little slow at times) and it was very busy when we were there at Chinese New Year. The staff are friendly and helpful. This room was small but comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous but be careful of the queues (as well as when checking in and out). The gym is well stocked and the pool area is pleasant although the pool is a little small. The food is good all round. It is conveniently located next to the giant malls of Makati where there is plenty to eat and shop! I enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The lobby is lovely.

SSasha & ResulWe stayed here for 2 days and I can tell it was a right choice of accommodation. First, area is good, you can walk around, there are many cafes and supermarkets and malls, but you can also take taxi easily and go to BGC, historical area, or an airport. The room was cozy with cool design, there are all amenities available. We loved the common area with the working desks, small cafe bar. The rooftop has a wonderful view from the 13th floor.

KKrizzia AngeliPet policy is inconsistent. Upon arrival we were asked for a copy of the vaxx card of our pet. This information must be clearly stated on the hotel policies to avoid delay of check in. Room was clean and big. Very affordable and great location. Only cons: thin walls (you can hear all the people passing by especially when your room is close tot he swimming pool area) causing lack of sleep. It was a great stay overall. Chewie-approved!

AAnonymous UserI don’t usually leave negative reviews but this place was a slight disappoint more than a pleasant surprise… I’ll start with the pros; staff are super great, attentive and extremely friendly, I have zero faults for them. The location is pretty good if you want to be in the middle of the mayhem, and the included sauna and onsen was a nice touch. Room was generally very clean and bed was comfy , standard hotel quality. The cons… this feels like the most dated Oakwood I’ve stayed in, and for the price per night you can get a really decent Airbnb apartment instead. The balcony door doesn’t seal properly so you can still hear the madness of the city even on the 20th floor, the air con is old and battered and sounds like a chainsaw for a few minutes every time it kicks into action. The suite comes with a bath , yet the water doesn’t get hot enough to actually have one. The bath/shower design itself is the most ridiculous design - every time you shower the water pools around the edge of the bath with nowhere to drain , and then when you open the shower door to get out all that pooled water splashes out and fills the bathroom floor… really stupid design and it meant my bathroom was just a flooded mess the whole stay. Overall, in my mind it wasn’t worth the money- I’ve stayed in much better, modern and more established Airbnbs in the city but wanted to give premium hotels a try… will stick to Airbnbs !
