Makati Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"As always, the staff are accommodating and courteous, from the front desk, security, and restaurant servers, even the OJTs (I think?) wearing white uniforms during breakfast. Everyone was nice, attentive, and welcoming. I always come back to St. Giles because of its location and the homey feeling it has compared to other hotels in Poblacion. I’ve stayed at different hotels around the area whenever I want a quick staycation to relax and swim during my days off, but this has always been my go-to hotel. This was actually my first stay this year, and I noticed that a lot has changed. I’m not sure if it’s due to government regulations, but there are no toothbrushes provided in the room anymore. There was also only one bath towel in the room even though there were two of us checked in. The water in the hallway is empty in the morning when we want to make coffee in the room. I hope the housekeeping team will be more attentive with these things. What disappointed me the most was the breakfast selection. Breakfast used to be one of my favorite parts of staying here, but now the selection feels quite limited and sad. There’s no bacon or even danggit anymore, which are usually breakfast staples. Most of the choices were heavy meals. Plus points for the roti, though. Overall, the stay was still okay, but I think I might not come back in the meantime. I hope next time i'll experience the same homey and warm feeling from you."

"The location is excellent, and the rooftop bar with its amazing view is simply amazing. The room was very clean, as were the hotel’s common areas. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast  was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely choose it again on our next trip to Makati. Thank you!"

"I booked it for my NCLEX and it is the perfect location for me. It was a short walk going to Trident Tower. Below the condo units it has supermarket, 7 11, mall, variety of restaurants that offers great food, Daiso, salons, and such! I ate sushi with an affordable price, ate pani puri that was delicious, they had pop up market during the weekend, ate healthy broccoli and mushroom stir fry with a tasty fermented mango juice, and some desserts. I really liked my stay there, no issues. They also have pool (lap and leisure), billiard, gym, walking/jogging area, and other amenities that we haven't been to actually. Also very nice lobby, connected to the Air Mall. About the unit, great unit with great bed and pillow. Good aircon, no issues. Love that there are desk, table, couch, kitchen sink, stove, microwave, washing machine, heated shower, tv with Netflix & YouTube, pullout bed, and cabinets. Very much will recommend to my friends and family. I might come back to one of Gemstones' units! Very good! Also affordable pricing compared to other Airbnb and hotels. I prefer this over the one that is well-known and also the closest stay for NCLEX takers, iykyk. Btw I dont have pics or vids of the unit butmit is what you see on their posts."

"The room was spacious and the facilities were decent. However, the air conditioning was very noisy. In the middle of the night, roosters crowed outside, coming from a short building nearby where they keep chickens. There were plenty of food options nearby too. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast though; I didn't get used to it."

"My stay at Valero Grand Suites was great, it has everything you need to make yourself feel home. I requested pan to cook breakfast and it was delivered immediately. But you can also get breakfast buffet at the hotel - if wished. The pool is on the 34th floor and the gym operates 24h. Staff were nice and friendly, location is very nice and easy to walk to greenbelt, ayala triangle park etc."

"Exceeded expectations! The hotel is conveniently located, and the room is cozy and clean with comfortable bedding. The service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the hygiene is impeccable. Breakfast is rich and varied. Overall, an excellent experience, definitely worth staying again!"

"Clean and well-located, but lacks essentials I had a good stay because the hotel is clean and situated in a great location. But I noticed a weakness in providing essential amenities; for example, they don't provide bottled water!!"

"It's such an old place, but the location is ok. Unfortunately the lift didn't work and it was manually operated (in a good efficient way but still quite slow to go up and down). Being abto to open the window in one of the highest floor, and look down, seems quite unsafe especially if there are kids around (but I want to believe people with kids are not given this room). The bathroom had some sewage smell coming from toilet. Good bed and decent shower. Good AC 2000 php deposit seems too high and unnecessary Staff was friendly"

"The powerbox opposite the bathroom was heard all around the room. The room is okay itself, everything is clean (except the windows) and neat. All kitchen utensils, plates, pans, glasses, a corkscrew, even the vegetable cleaner! The view from the window is fine. There are enough towels in the bathroom. Different things as a sewing kit, ear sticks and so on are brought only at request. Reception works well, I liked the style of check-in and check-out. The porter helped with the luggage all the time and opened the door. The breakfast is not a buffet, a little choice of food, I'd prefer some vegetables and potatoes. Eggs are everywhere in the Philippines! Tired, frankly speaking. Instead there are sweet pancakes. The pool is wonderful: the view, water, it was pleasure to swim. Pool towels are not all the time available, one of the guests helped me, otherwise I wouldn't find them myself. As for the restaurant Catalogue: they don't ask when to bring drinks, just bring and when you finish, they are cold. Only one napkin is available. Not comfortable! But some dishes and drinks in the menu are awesome. I'd recommend the drink: watermelon calsmsnsi. It looks beautiful to take a picture and the taste is delicious! Potato leek soup and summer salad are tasty. Be ready to ask the price of the dishes, it is different at the end!"
