chriswoNo regret booking the 180 degree sunrise room as the view was superb despite the following day being rainy and cloudy. The hotel itself was amazing with extremely attentive and helpful staff, especially JiX! whom helped to accommodate our requests! We enjoyed the hotel very much, beds were comfy and facilities like a gym room with the washer and dryer room were bonus! If we returned to Yantai we will definitely stay here again.

The Golden Gulf Hotel Yantai looks old from the outside but the interior is nicely furnished with modern technology. They use robots to send guest needs, they had heated toilet seats for the winter used. Among the 4 hotels I stayed at on this trip they are the only ones that provide heated toilet seats. That is their facility that impressed me.
If they are not considered a local 5 Star hotel, they definitely have a 6 Star service. Service from the front office staff, to the operator from the call center and the host at the restaurant were excellent. They definitely left a very good impression on me as a guest of the hotel. Special thanks to Serene and Jenny at the front office for the excellent service provided during my stay. Will surely come back to stay here again when I visit Yantai in future.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and both times have been great. The hotel environment is beautiful, and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The Chinese restaurant's food is also very tasty. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very dedicated and provide excellent service. You can walk to see the sunrise in just five minutes. The room facilities are clean and well-equipped. I'll definitely be back next time.

I chose the Central Hotel for my dad's follow-up hospital visit, and this old-school hotel definitely lives up to its reputation. Every staff member at the front desk was fantastic; they had our room reserved in advance, so check-in was instant! The two concierges were incredibly responsible, surprising us with different little treats every day – so thoughtful and caring! The restaurant staff were very welcoming, and the cleaning auntie was diligent, tidying up our room promptly every day. All in all, the Central Hotel's service is so dedicated, which clearly shows their management is five-star. Thank you!

Guest UserI stayed at the Sheraton Golden Beach for four nights during my five-day trip to Yantai, and several things really stood out:
1. **Superb Location**: You can walk straight onto the beach and into the ocean from the restaurant's back door in about 30 seconds, no need to cross any roads. This is absolutely perfect for families with kids who want to play by the sea.
2. **Newly Renovated**: As a five-star hotel that's just been renovated, both the lobby, public areas, and the rooms themselves fully lived up to our expectations.
3. **Exceptional Service (Must Highlight!)**: We arrived at the hotel after 11 PM, and Ms. Molly was incredibly patient and efficient during check-in. She even added me on WeChat to help with extending our stay later. The next day, she promptly checked if we needed a late check-out or complimentary fruit, among other things. Her thoughtful attention made us feel truly at home.
While location, star rating, and hardware are the hotel's strong points, the warm and attentive service is its soft power. Sheraton Golden Beach, with both hard and soft strengths, inspired me to write such an extensive review for the first time.
Thank you again, Molly, for your service. Your heartwarming hospitality deserves all the praise. I would definitely choose Sheraton Golden Beach again because of you.

Guest UserThe hotel service was attentive and thorough, the room was clean and spacious, and the facilities were complete. Alan Liu and Cryin Zhang at the front desk made the check-in process efficient and pleasant. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct, stunning sea views; watching the sunrise over the ocean in the morning and the 'orange sea' sunset in the evening was incredibly therapeutic. Yantai, this coastal city, is gentle and relaxing, with refreshing sea breezes and beautiful scenery. The accommodation, the city, and the sea views were a triple surprise, offering excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yantai!

Guest UserOur trip to Yantai was made perfect by our stay at the Yantai Xinguang Marriott Hotel! The hotel boasts a prime location right on Golden Beach, with direct garden access to the sand, making beach strolls incredibly convenient. I booked a room with a scenic balcony, offering stunning views of the blue ocean during the day and spectacular sunsets in the evening – truly a picturesque and healing experience! The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, including a sea-view heated pool and a 24/7 gym. After a day of activities, we enjoyed the rich and varied breakfast. Plus, there are daily children's activities and a kids' playground, which kept the little ones thoroughly entertained! The staff member Koala provided detailed and thoughtful service, making check-in efficient. Overall, whether for relaxation or sightseeing, this hotel is absolutely perfect and comes highly recommended as the top choice for a family vacation in Yantai!

We loved this hotel. It is literally right across the road from the beach and a major attraction. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the staff brought us breakfast in the morning right to our room. The room was modern, comfortable, and clean. Most importantly, it was very warm in the middle of the winter! We would love stay here again if we get the chance.

Guest UserAn impeccable luxury experience regarding the ambiance, but the front desk service was just average.
**Pros:**
1. **Environment & Room:** The hotel's ambiance is truly grand and upscale! From the moment you step into the lobby, the stylish decor and high ceilings connecting three levels are perfect for photos and leisurely strolls. Our room had a well-designed layout. The bedding was only average, but I still slept soundly. The bathroom was a particular highlight, featuring marble finishes, wet/dry separation, a massive bathtub, and toiletries from a well-known brand.
3. **Location:** Excellent location, situated in a prime central area, making it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and business travelers.
4. **Breakfast:** The most significant highlight was breakfast: The spread was incredibly extensive, easily comparable to other 5-star hotels, and served over a long period. A truly touching detail was witnessed towards the end of breakfast service: the staff member in charge of the bread station ensured everything was replenished so that even the last guests had ample choices.
**Cons (and some amusing points):**
1. For a 5-star hotel positioning itself as family-friendly, we stayed in the 'International Zone,' which apparently isn't a dedicated children's area, so no kids' toiletries were provided. We had to call the front desk to request children's items like water and toiletries. A young male staff member arrived with a disposable bag containing four bottles of water and adult toiletries. He then informed us that the children's toiletries cost 30 RMB. I told him I didn't need the toiletries, just the water and children's slippers in the bag. To my astonishment, he replied that wasn't possible because their disposable bags are charged for, and he couldn't just give me one! This was my first time encountering a family-friendly 5-star hotel that neither provides basic children's toiletries nor charges for a disposable bag. For an 800 RMB/night hotel, charging for a disposable bag is unbelievably petty and stingy.
2. Front desk service was rather uninspired. They were quick to recommend self-service options and offered no information unless specifically asked; we had to inquire about breakfast location and times ourselves.
3. The hotel's children's play area has a rule allowing only one parent to enter with a child under 120cm, which is understandable. My child played for a while, and I wanted to step out briefly to smoke by the lobby entrance, but was told I couldn't, and doing so would forfeit my re-entry chance. I didn't mind that too much. However, later, my child twisted their ankle and was resting after buying some food in the dining area. I approached the staff at the entrance, explaining that my child was in pain and I couldn't carry them, so I asked if their father could come in to help carry them out directly. They responded that they had no authority and I needed to apply for permission. This utterly astonished me again – do I really need to apply for permission just to pick up my injured child? Although the wait was only 3 minutes, which isn't long, I still found the management's policy utterly unreasonable.
