LLiangyuerWe were so glad we chose Shan Shang Shan for our final stop in Siguniang Mountain on our western Sichuan trip. The guesthouse's location is superb, nestled halfway up the mountain, with parking available and an elevator. We arrived around 9 PM, and it was easy to find following the directions. The owner thoughtfully prepared dinner for us (the ******* hotpot was delicious!). The room was exactly as pictured, and the owner even turned on the diffused oxygen system for us in advance, which made us feel right at home. The room had a full wooden interior, and everything was perfectly satisfactory. What I loved most, though, was waking up and pulling back the curtains to reveal stunning mountain views, with a faint glimpse of snow-capped peaks – it was truly perfect. Breakfast was also very generous, and we even tried making hand-churned yak butter tea. If you like savory milk tea, you should definitely give it a try; it really helps with altitude sickness.

MM15455****The room was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. It even had a professional oxygen concentrator, and I was pleasantly surprised to find high-quality Le Labo toiletries. The room faced Siguniang Mountain, and honestly, I felt like I could just stay in and enjoy the view. What truly deserves a special mention is how wonderful everyone at the guesthouse was. The Matsutake hotpot they prepared was delicious (seriously, you *have* to try their homemade chili sauce!). The staff member was very kind; knowing we were suffering from altitude sickness, he offered us ibuprofen and glucose. Plus, when he found out we had previously stayed at another guesthouse, he proactively offered to pick up our luggage first so we could go straight to the attractions, which saved us a huge amount of time! I hope this place continues to thrive and do well!

__WeChat447036****This hotel is incredibly stylish. It feels super high-end, with Marshall speakers throughout and L'Occitane toiletries in every room. The rooms even come with oxygen concentrators, and the owner upgraded us to a bathtub room, which offered truly breathtaking and healing views – we even saw the 'sunlit golden mountains' (rijin jinshan) in the morning. From the moment we arrived, we experienced truly VIP service. The owner personally drove us everywhere, probably five or six round trips in a single day. In the afternoon, when we went out to take photos, the staff brought us a fruit platter and kept us supplied with drinks, including Rhodiola rosea tea and ginger ale. The owner even tried to get some sparklers for our photos, but they burned out in a second – a funny little incident. What touched us most was that it was the winter solstice on the day we checked in. Since we weren't going down the mountain that evening, the staff brought us dumplings. They were so delicious that I had two plates! When I offered to pay, they said it was complimentary, which made me feel a little embarrassed. Furthermore, when we left, the owner drove us to Shuangqiao Valley without any extra charge, even though it's typically 30 RMB per person, the same as outside services. They even helped us transfer our luggage to our second guesthouse. The owner is incredibly kind, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Overall, this hotel is absolutely amazing! Within a year, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and Europe, and even stayed in high-end chain hotels, but not a single one had service and facilities that could compare to Xing Shan Yue Ying. I truly didn't want to leave and it left me with the most wonderful memories. I wish the owner a prosperous business and hope to visit again!

MMichal WozniakVery nice stay in a good location close to Haizi and Changping volleys where we did some amazing treks. Stuff was super helpful via wechat. They booked a returning bus for us and arranged everything - it was very helpful as we don't speak chinese and had trouble finding any relevant info sbout morning buses to Chengdu. In our room, we had an oxygen machine and a powerful heater/air-con :)

GGuest UserFirst and foremost, the location is superb, especially for my room type, as the balcony offered direct, stunning views of Mount Siguniang. However, be aware that the access road has a narrow stretch where local drivers tend to speed; we even had a close call. Parking at the guesthouse entrance can also be challenging for new drivers due to a steep slope. The room itself is on the smaller side but perfectly adequate for two people. It's worth noting that the in-room oxygen machine is a paid service, activated by scanning a QR code, and reportedly costs 68 yuan per hour. One minor point: the glass partition between the room and the balcony was a bit dirty. A good clean would greatly improve the view for photos. On a positive note, the guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful! I accidentally left an item behind, and they went out of their way to find it and ship it to me via SF Express. Plus, the guesthouse dog is absolutely adorable and playful!

They are clean and sanitary, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is great! I just hope that the French windows will be cleaned in time after the rain. GGuest UserOur stay in this hotel was amazing! The room is comfortable and clean. You have to walk uphill to get to the hotel which can be a bit hard with a large backpack but it's fine. It is very close to the ticket office and entrance of Changpinggou (5mins), and around 10 mins from Haizi Valley entrance which is the one we did. The staff is very warm and welcoming, they helped us book the van back to Chengdu. Is right next to the main road where restaurants and c-stores are located. Totally recommend!

MM385846****It's amazing to find such a great hotel nestled in these mountains! The location is easy to find, and they even guided us to parking and helped carry our luggage to the door since there's no elevator [tears of laughter emoji]. The room was clean and comfortable overall. The front desk staff were quick to check us in and provided excellent tips on local attractions and travel itineraries. They even offered oxygen tanks at night. This was by far the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Western Sichuan. Full marks! I'll definitely be back. The puppy was super cute too! 😂

EEmilyflipI love staying here! Tu dou (potato) is the cutest golden retriever and the ladies here were all so hospitable! Would definitely stay here again in the future. Their hotpot and drinks were really nice too! Thank you for turning on the heater every time we eat at your restaurant!
