"Before my trip, I booked a room type on Trip.com, and the order clearly stated that a family of three would be staying, with my daughter being 15 years old. The platform indicated an additional charge of 1200 THB for a rollaway bed for 4 nights. Upon arrival at the hotel for check-in, the front desk suddenly changed their tune, raising the extra bed fee to 2000 THB and demanding an additional 1200 THB for breakfast. Looking through hotel reviews, guests generally reported poor breakfast quality, and we had no intention of eating breakfast, but to avoid an awkward situation, we ended up paying the breakfast fee.
The original extra bed charge did not match the Trip.com order. Fortunately, we met the proprietress the next day, who was very straightforward and proactively refunded the difference. However, the overall stay experience was still greatly diminished: despite paying for an extra bed, the hotel did not proactively provide extra blankets, slippers, or other amenities. All supplies had to be requested by calling the front desk, showing a significant lack of proactive service.
There were obvious flaws in the room's hardware. The waterproofing in the shower area was poorly done, causing water to leak out into the bathroom entrance when showering. On the second day of our stay, the hotel suddenly had a water outage. In the morning, we could only use bottled water for a quick wash before heading out for our sea excursion. Upon returning at night, there was still no water supply. The front desk twice told us to wait only 40 minutes for the water to come back, but after a long wait, it was still off. I was extremely upset at the time and even considered changing hotels. Covered in seawater and dust, we couldn't get into bed and had to sit on the sofa waiting for the water to return. The experience was terrible. (Plus the '81 difficulties' of climbing stairs).
Luckily, the water supply was normal for the subsequent two nights, and our stay stabilized. The hotel's closing service was decent; the front desk helped arrange a vehicle to the airport when we checked out. Overall, this hotel has clear pros and cons. The dishonest upcharge, poor hardware quality, and severe water outage issues significantly impacted our stay. Only the proprietress's generosity and the final transfer service were satisfactory. Overall, I would not highly recommend staying here."
