"Overall, it was just okay. The only thing I liked was the mattress—it's the firm mattress I prefer! Cleanliness was so-so; there was something resembling chewing gum by the bed, and scraps of paper in the foot bath. The facilities were alright; the overall style was that of an old three-star hotel. Perhaps because it was on a good floor, the water pressure was very low. The bathroom smelled like sewage. I originally thought that as a four-star hotel, and a well-established three-star hotel, there wouldn't be any product discrepancies, but the complimentary fruit was very different from the picture. I hope they maintain consistency! I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The service was good, and the overall efficiency was quite high! One complaint: since they used a robot, why make the front desk call me? Their robot arrived at the door, and the front desk called to inform me—a bit outdated! Finally, one more complaint: since checkout was at 4 PM, why call me at 1 PM to ask if I wanted to extend my stay? That was too early."

"This was the most comfortable hotel of the trip, though unfortunately I only stayed for 7 hours. A big thank you to our guide for their attentive company throughout our Xinjiang self-driving tour. The itinerary was well-balanced, with sights, meals, and accommodations perfectly organized. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating and lively explanations of local history, customs, natural scenery, and specialty foods along the way. They also meticulously provided tips for travel safety. They were very patient, proactively looking after all the passengers, and promptly resolving any minor issues that arose. They were genuinely kind and friendly. The driver was steady and reliable, and the two worked together seamlessly. The entire trip was relaxing and pleasant, offering an excellent travel experience. I highly recommend them and would gladly choose them again for future travels."

"Highly recommend the Xinyuan People's Square Licheng Hotel! We specifically chose this hotel after driving through the Duku Highway, and it was the most comfortable stop on our entire Yili loop trip. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to People's Square. Downstairs, you'll find supermarkets, night markets, and restaurants, making it super convenient for a late-night snack. They have a free parking lot, perfect for SUVs, which is a huge plus for road trippers. The hotel opened in 2026, so everything is brand new. The entire room is equipped with XiaoDu smart controls, so you can control the lights and curtains with your voice. It also has a smart toilet, and the high-floor rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offer distant mountain views. The cleanliness is impeccable; there's no dust even in the corners, the bedding is soft and clean, and the soundproofing is excellent. Our street-facing room was completely quiet at night, allowing us to get a wonderfully restful sleep after our long journey. The amenities are top-notch: a self-service laundry room with a dryer, perfect for getting dirty clothes clean and dry after mountain drives; a 24-hour gym; and robot delivery service. Even arriving late at night, check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were gentle and attentive. They even proactively offered tips for touring Nalat Grassland. Breakfast features Xinjiang specialties, including milk tea, baursak, hot dishes, and pastries – perfect for a hearty meal before heading out to explore the grasslands. The hotel can also host group meals and conferences, making it suitable for family trips, self-driving groups, or business travelers. It's definitely the top choice when visiting Xinyuan!"

"The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to Narati, which is a big plus! The hotel itself is large with a spacious lobby, but its size also means it can be a bit confusing to navigate. It could use more staff. Breakfast was decent; there was a good variety, but the taste was just okay. As for facilities, I particularly want to mention the laundry room. It really needs an update. I had to search for it, finding it in an adjacent building and quite tucked away. In the end, I couldn't iron my clothes due to insufficient facilities and had to go back. The room is a bit old-fashioned but fully equipped, giving off vibes of hotels from a decade ago during an economic boom. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, but I'm deducting points because I found a centipede-like insect in the room just before check-out (perhaps due to the excellent natural environment?)."

"Cloud Spruce Hidden Residence is hands down the best place to stay in Narat! The butler service was incredibly attentive and warm; they patiently answered all our questions about getting around and things to do. The room facilities were high-end and complete, and the Dyson hairdryer was a fantastic touch. For breakfast, fresh milk paired with freshly baked naan bread offered an authentic Xinjiang flavor. Stepping out, you're greeted by vast grasslands and a superb view. The hotel can even help with self-driving tickets. In the evening, the live band created a wonderful atmosphere. It truly offers a one-stop experience for dining, accommodation, and entertainment. Helping us secure self-driving tickets for the Narat scenic area was a huge bonus! As everyone knows, getting those self-driving tickets for Narat Grassland is a massive win; if you can't get them, you're stuck waiting for shuttle buses, which is a major downgrade."

"From the moment I walked in, every staff member was incredibly friendly. It was my first time staying at a hotel where I truly felt at home, rather than just receiving a standard service. The coffee bar was meticulously organized and spotless, even though there were quite a few guests during my two-day stay. This cleanliness really shows how attentive and careful each staff member is. My room was bright and absolutely spotless, and the bed was neatly made with no strange odors. Xinjiang is truly wonderful, and I feel so lucky to have stayed at this hotel. Every day I was here, the sky was clear and sunny, but as I was leaving today, it started to rain. It's almost as if the sky is sad that we have to go back to work 💔 Goodbye Xinyuan, goodbye Xinjiang! Thank you to every single employee at Hanting Xinyuan!"

"We had planned to finish our Nalati Sky Grassland tour and return to Urumqi via the northern section of the Duku Highway, but after three days of waiting, the highway remained closed. So, with my parents and daughter, we booked flights to Kanas. We checked into the hotel, which was very well-equipped with everything from a laundry room, dryer, ironing machine, and gym. The lovely front desk ladies were very helpful and even gave us a check-in gift before we left. It was definitely our favorite accommodation of the trip. The room was spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds and comfortable bedding. Breakfast was on the sixth floor, and my parents enjoyed it. There are many clothing wholesalers nearby, and we browsed for an afternoon, finding a wide variety of clothing at very reasonable prices. Kanas is a bit colder than Nalati, so we each bought a set of clothes for our trip. Excellent value. I highly recommend this hotel in Xinyuan County."

"This guesthouse in Narat was the biggest surprise of our Xinjiang trip. The location is superb, offering stunning views of vast mountains and grasslands right from our room. Most of the manager and staff are young local Kazakhs, with one Han Chinese guy too. Everyone was well-trained, genuinely warm, and incredibly thoughtful towards guests. The room facilities were complete, and the bedding was great. Every evening, there was a bonfire party in the courtyard where you could sing karaoke. On our first night, the kids had a blast singing. When it started raining later, the staff thoughtfully held umbrellas for the children, which deeply touched the parents. The guesthouse chef is excellent; we had dinner there, and every dish was delicious. In the evening, you can also order kebabs and beer, enjoying the breeze in the courtyard while gazing at the mountains. The young Kazakh men even kept bringing us delicious local watermelon. The local Xinjiang milk for breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the lamb buns were thin-skinned, generously filled, and bursting with juicy lamb flavor. The guesthouse's star dog, Chocolate, a Border Collie, is super cute and friendly. He loves naan bread, regular bread, and egg yolks. Every morning, he'd join us for breakfast. When I’d break off a piece of naan for him, he’d delicately take it, careful not to let his teeth touch my hand."
