The location is superb, right on the edge of the vast desert. In the afternoons, we could easily climb sand dunes and watch the sunset. My kids spent every day playing happily in the sand, they didn't want to leave. After checking in, the hotel added us to an exclusive WeChat group, which made it super convenient for daily inquiries and requests. I have to specifically praise their heartwarming service: I accidentally lost my DJI Pocket 3 while out and about. I was already disheartened and about to give up, but I decided to ask in the group. To my surprise, someone had found it quickly! The staff immediately secured it and personally delivered it to me. The joy of getting it back was indescribable. "The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. Overall, it perfectly blended wilderness adventure with comfort, making it ideal for a family trip. If I ever return to the Zhongwei desert, I'll definitely stay here again."

"We brought our kids to visit the Tengger Desert and Shapotou. The environment was great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. We arrived the night before, planning to go out the next day, but by the time we got there, there were no parking spots left near the entrance. The front desk staff guided us to park in the underground garage across the street and even kindly reimbursed our parking fee the next day. That definitely deserves a thumbs up! The hotel's location is excellent, the rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. When we checked out, the staff gave us detailed tips on how to avoid common pitfalls when visiting the Tengger Desert and Shapotou and even gave us sand-digging tools. Both kids had a fantastic time. "Located in the very center of Zhongwei, a small city, the room wasn't very large, smaller than comparable hotels in Yinchuan, which was a bit surprising. The cleanliness was excellent, and the soundproofing was acceptable for a hotel in this price range. The breakfast quality matched the price, and the late-night congee was a nice touch. Service quality needs to go beyond the surface; it needs to be more detailed. For example, the napkins on the tables seemed thoughtful at first glance—one for each seat—but upon closer inspection, they were reused, and I don't know how many times they'd been used. It was nauseating! Another interesting thing was that, whether it was a requirement from the brand or a preference of the owner, the music in the elevator was an old 60s or 70s song, ”Yesterday Once More.” Is the hotel targeting older people?"
