Cheap Hotels in Tbilisi

"Advantages: - size and cleanliness of the room, amenities: there was a lot of space, cleaning came everyday, the vault could contain a big laptop - view from the room: our windows were oriented to the east so we didn’t see the city center. However, we could see the hills, the river with HPP on it and the wedding palace, and this view was very pretty. The view from the room (13th floor) and from the restaurant (3rd floor) is attached. - lack of noise from construction sites nearby and the busy road — with closed windows you can’t hear a thing from the outside Disadvantages: - the dining restaurant: on the first day of our stay we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant (it wasn’t included into our booking). It turned out that we were the only people at the empty restaurant. While the food was satisfactory, the waiter told us that their check printing machine is broken, so he gave us a random number as an amount that we should pay. We paid it, but when we tried to calculate the amount by ourselves at home (including the service fee from the menu), we came to the conclusion that he added around 20 GEL to the real amount. - the breakfast buffet: the choice was very limited. The only dish with meat was sausage. Other than that, the breakfast was fine. Notes: - before booking we asked the restaurant about dining policy and learned the following: if dinner is included in your stay, it means that you can every day order dishes from the fixed menu for a fixed amount of money (around 70 GEL, which is enough for a meal without alcoholic drinks). - the location is not central, but it is not bad, because the metro station is close. However, if you intend to cross the bridge over the river, please take into account that crossing the road to the bridge would take around 5 mins, because it is a busy road junction. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but I can’t recommend either booking the dinner for your stay in advance or visiting the restaurant for dinner by yourself."

"The hotel is alright, and the staff are excellent. The location is right in the city center, but the room is very small (you get what you pay for). The window doesn't open properly, the floors were quite dirty, and the noise level made it hard to sleep. Other than that, it's acceptable. The photo shows the maximum extent to which the window can be opened :("

"The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to currency exchange offices, restaurants, wine shops, Freedom Square, bus stops, and a metro station. We had a deluxe room with windows facing the courtyard, so it was very quiet. We slept peacefully, with no noise from the street or neighboring rooms. The room was small, but it had a wide bed and two pillows per person. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion were provided. The toothbrushes were very good, and there was tea, coffee, and two bottles of water daily. However, there were no cotton pads or Q-tips, no shoehorn, and no sewing kit. Of course, we hadn't brought any from home, relying on the hotel to provide them. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, with very tasty pastries, sweet and juicy fruits, and amazing cheeses – there were four types of cheese every day. The reception staff understood Russian, were helpful and offered advice, and didn't ignore us, as some other reviews mentioned. The only inconvenience was that breakfast started at 8:00 AM, but tours often left at 9:00 AM, so you had to rush to eat and then get to the tour."

"I really liked the service; the room was cleaned promptly. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was substantial and filling. The hotel is in a quiet location, so we slept with the window open. There's also private parking, which is very convenient. We'll definitely come back again. The only minor issue was on our last day, some of the breakfast dishes weren't washed properly and had an odor. But we just swapped them for other dishes, and it was fine."

"Wonderful stay in Tbilisi! I had a great experience staying at Hotel Orion. Everything was wonderful! The room was very clean, with fresh, clean towels and a large, extremely comfortable bed. One of the highlights was the balcony with a patio set, offering a beautiful view. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, and the lady serving it was exceptionally sweet and kind. The location is also very convenient. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"I'm writing this review a bit late, but I stayed here at the beginning of July and was very pleased! Even though some renovations were still underway, it didn't bother me at all. The staff made sure there were no noises or smells. They even upgraded me to a room with a terrace. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! The staff were polite and attentive 🫶🏽 I want to thank them for their hospitality!"

"We chose this hotel for its location and the outdoor pool. The staff was very friendly, and the reception area was splendid. The room was clean and had everything we needed – towels, soap, and shampoo with an amazing scent. The bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and I slept wonderfully! The room also had welcome water, tea, and instant coffee. The hotel is very beautiful, with a terrace on the top floor offering a magnificent view of the city. On the ground floor, there's a lovely outdoor area with tables and flowers. The outdoor pool lived up to expectations – comfortable sun loungers with cushions, a clean pool, and a bar nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town, and there's a 24-hour Spar supermarket nearby. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"Everything was great: friendly, Russian-speaking staff, daily room cleaning offered, and the room itself was very cozy with everything you need, including amenities like shampoo and toothbrushes. The front desk is 24/7, and the location is absolutely fantastic – I'm left with only positive impressions of the hotel. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!"

"The environment is pretty good, located halfway up the mountain. It was raining when we arrived, so we couldn't see much of the scenery. However, we could walk everywhere quickly, which was very convenient. The lady at the front desk with glasses provided excellent service. We extended our stay for another night, and they charged 275 Lari per room, which was a bit pricey."

"The hotel's location is its main advantage. The bed and pillow were soft, which was also a plus for me. And it seemed like the overall stay was fine, but! Service makes all the difference. In 7 days, no one came to clean my room once. When I saw the cleaner on the second-to-last day and asked why they weren't even taking out the trash, I was told: 'Just grab a bag yourself and take it to the outdoor bin.' What, excuse me? For the last 3 days, the Wi-Fi and TVs in the rooms weren't working, and one day there was no water at all. And the staff – it's like they greet you and talk to you, but in reality, they don't care about you at all. Also, it wouldn't hurt for the hotel to put up signs for guests, and for the staff, asking them not to make noise on balconies and in the stairwell corridors. The doors are paper-thin, and as soon as someone starts talking loudly (and they don't know how to be quiet there), whether it's 7 AM or midnight, you can hear everything in your room."
