Exceptional hotel in remarkable location with private valley walk across the river. Beautifully designed and appointed rooms, stunning landscaping, amazing yet healthy breakfast with quality sourced vegetables and produce. Very attractive location on river. Nice public rooms / sitting area for calming tea on arrival . Or energising coffee … Attentive highly professional staff. Quiet and tranquil. A special place (yet it is expensive) but it is worth it for a very special stay. A place you can truly relax for a day or so.

As soon as I entered the hotel lobby, I smelled a faint tea fragrance, which made me feel very comfortable. The decoration was great and the service attitude was very good. 👍You can see the beautiful city view and Raffles from 270 degrees. It is very photogenic. It is also very comfortable to order takeout in the room on such a hot day. Haha 😄 Especially for those with children, two hours a day is enough to visit several attractions. It is near the hotel, just a dozen minutes walk, and a taxi is only a few dollars, which is very convenient! The room is fully equipped, comfortable, spacious and bright. I personally like it very much! They also gave me a glass of red wine. It can be said that the boss understands contemporary young people very well. The room was clean and tidy, there were flowers and plants outside, and the park seemed to be opposite the window. The environment was good. The dining in the row downstairs, there is a night market stall opposite the night, the gospel of delicious dogs. Convenient transportation, go out is the Baguocheng Museum. I think this price in this area is really super good. Last time I had a friend looking for a hotel near the TV University School, I didn't have more than 200 such environments. The environment is good. There are two rooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own bathroom, which is very convenient for family trips. There is also a refrigerator and a washing machine. This is the worst Hampton by Hilton hotel I have ever stayed in
I always rate Hampton by Hilton as not exactly 5 stars, but close to 5 stars.
This time I came to Chongqing and saw the Hampton by Hilton hotel, so I prepaid for two nights without reading the reviews. Who knew I was in trouble?
There is a staircase when entering the hotel lobby.
There is no escalator or doorman. Guests have to carry their luggage and run up the stairs when entering.
The air conditioner in the room looks like a fake one. No matter how hard I turn it on, it has no effect.
I was sweating all over when I went to bed at night. The room temperature was over 25 degrees Celsius and the highest was 27 degrees Celsius.
In the evening, I asked the guy at the front desk. He said that the central air conditioner could not be adjusted. He suggested that we turn off the air conditioner and try to see if it would be cooler. Turning it off basically had no effect. I asked the guy if there was a fan or something, and there was none.
It’s not prepaid. The money cannot be refunded. I will definitely check out. I can’t sleep at all.
The next morning, I asked the lady at the front desk what to do if the air conditioner was too hot. She suggested that we turn off the air conditioner and open the windows. It would be cooler later.
The problem is that your hotel is right next to the road. Even if you close the window, you can still hear the sound of traffic on the road. At around 12 o'clock in the evening, you can also hear the sound of a construction site. Wouldn't it be noisier if you open the window? Isn't that not solving a problem and creating a new one?
I asked if the hotel had fans and finally they gave us a cooling fan. We asked why there wasn't one last night? The front desk lady explained that maybe the guests had taken all the food yesterday.
The second night's sleep was better than the first night, not as hot (just better) and the fan was noisy, but it was better than sleeping covered in sweat.
The basic need when staying in a hotel is to rest and sleep.
Why should I choose this hotel when it can’t meet my most basic needs?
The breakfast was average. It was far worse than the breakfast I had at Hampton Inn Wuhan a few days ago.
When checking out, the lady gave a gift to the little girl.

The new yard is on the side of the road, parking is convenient, and I feel very comfortable and like it when I enter the door. Many decorations and facilities heard from the boss that they were all handmade, very unique, and the details were very good. The cats and dogs in the small courtyard are very leisurely, very clingy, super good, and the baby can play for a long time. . It is also very convenient to cook by yourself. It is similar to home. The condiments of the boss's house are all Metro's, and there is no worry about eating for the baby. The heating is sufficient, and it is very comfortable at night in a rainy winter like Chongqing. Especially when I get up in the middle of the night, the hot water from the faucet comes out in seconds, which shows the boss's intentions. The hotel is in excellent location just a few minutes walk to Jiefangbei Pedestrian Clock Tower, that makes us decided to booked this accommodation which claimed to be a hotel but in fact is more like a service apartment. The staffs at the reception counter were friendly, helpful and informative.
The type of room we booked was “Extreme Floating Island Twin Room” which mentioned in Trip.com the room size is 38sqm to 43sqm. To our disappointment, when we check into our room, we felt that the room size is much smaller that was mentioned😫😫. To add up to our disappointment, the access by lifts to the rooms on each floor absolutely have no security to the guests at all. Outsiders can easily access to any of the floors without problem. On several occasions we bumped into deliveries guys in the lift with us. To make things worse, each floor has a public toilet outside with the door always open in which the staffs claimed it for the convenience of the guests!!! I think is a cheap excuse!! I guessed is more for their hotel staffs and cleaners on each floor. In my opinion, if the guests can make it to their room floor during urgency to the toilet, why not use their own room toilet?? for more comfort, cleaner and more hygienic correct?? How do you feel as a guest where you have to pass by a public toilet with door always open each time you go in and out of your room?? Very disappointed with this strange set up.

First of all, the location of the hotel is TERRIFIC!!! You step out the door and it is the streetfood street. Very convenient when you wish to grab a quick snack. You could find us there every night. So location good for foodies.
But the location is the only thing that I would recommend about this hotel. The view from the hotelroom is nothing special, except if you choose the landmark room, which still only give you view to the landmark, so in my opinion it’s just an okay view. Except if you room is higher up, then the view will be about better. Otherwise you will look at the landmark and against buildings.
There is a spinning restaurant, which we have enjoyed for a night when receiving the free cocktail, but the view is pretty. View photo included in review is the view from the spinning restaurant at the top floor
It is a young hotel. Not only referring to that it is new, but also the employees working there. Young personnel and do sometimes notice the lack of experience. During check out it is a mad house. Everyone standing (not in line) in front of the front desk to check out. I was trying to stand in line to ask a question and an auntie went in front of me. I told her there was a line and she said she only had to check out and the hotel employee at the desk allowed, however, auntie did not only need to check out, but had a question about her points and took longer because she needed to look up her points…. A tip for the hotel is to work on how to organize the check out, since I do expect more from a 4 star hotel…
Some other things I noticed about the hotel:
- Keycard does not always work very well in elevator. Saw more guest struggling so it was not only our cards.
- Glass door to bathroom which can make quite awkward! We are a couple so it was okay for us, but it was really quite transparent! It was still kind of awkward seeing your partner pooping while you were brushing your teeth, because the sink was right in front of the door…. I imagine this would be really awkward for friends, relatives or someone travelling with older kids. Also there is a gap between door and ceiling so smell easily go out of bathroom….
- Sound insulation from outside not good. We were first put on 14th floor (for those superstitious, yes they use 14 because it is an international hotel. For me that was not a problem) we could hear the sounds from outside because we were half facing the streetfood street. At night could be a bit annoying when staying in the room te relax. Later on we were put on the 26th floor and we could not here it anymore.
We informed our hotel that it was our honeymoon and because we were there on Halloween, they provided a basket with masks and dress up things, which I imagine it was because of Halloween. However, as a newlywed that informed you that was on honeymoon, the basket with black lace dress up products, gave quite weird message 😂 black lace eye mask with back lace folding fan.
Overall, really loved the location and it was indeed very clean. The shared washing machines also was not smelly since it was new. They also have a robot bringing the food. But for the same price, I might opt for something else in the neighbourhood with better view and bigger rooms. There are A LOT of hotels in the vicinity.

One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting.
The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me.

Everyone says regent was one of the ceiling of luxury hotel, I’d gave it a try and it definitely worth ur money.
From bellboy to kitchen even breakfast time, everyone pay attention at ur appearance. The front desk even allowed me to extend my check out until 230pm. Special thank to her I’ve got a box of souvenir from regent too. It is a little pricey but definitely worth be their loyal member or guest. Will be bk next time! This is a brand-new hotel with excellent facilities—everything is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make both local(me) and international (my hubby)feel welcome and comfortable.
One of the highlights was the attentive housekeeper, who was always polite and thoughtful. She even reminded us to take extra water whenever I was heading out. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of delicious restaurants just downstairs, making it easy to enjoy the local cuisine.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my stay at Orange Crystal Hotel. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

With rooms high up at level 44-46, you will be guaranteed an amazing view of Chongqing. Room is beautiful with modern furnishing and layout. Comes with plenty of space for you to wind down during your vacation (big bath tub, sofa, high tables). Room is equipped with projector ewith streaming subscriptions, definitely a big plus for us. Housekeeping is via WeChat, which makes it really easy and convenient. Lastly, all food delivery (Meituan delivery) is sent to you via a robot once the delivery guy drops it off at the lobby. Yes, robot knows how to take the lift and ring your door bell. Overall 5/5 and will definitely book again for future trips to Chongqing.

GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

AAaron FillerGreat location, one of the few hostels in the CBD so quite central; ＜10mins walk to the metro 15mins to Jiefengbei. The owner is very kind and helpful. Social/communal area is nice, plus there's a little rooftop where you can hang laundry. Good wifi in all areas. Bathrooms are fine, the bed was hard but comfortable enough. Only issue is that there's no doors between rooms (only curtains) and no lockers, so it isn't the most secure, however I still felt pretty safe. Overall very good value and a nice stay.

DDerickOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

RRaju UK.Check in on 21st floor. Tricky to find as information scarce at 21st floor. Receptionist helpful as needed to change elevator at floor 30 to get to floor 32 in our case. Room with river view and Raffles city building. Very good view specially at night with all the led lights. A bath tub right at window with river view and buildings all over . Beautiful. Hotel is opposite Raffles city and walking distance to Hongiadong.

CChenwenjingI renewed my reservation. It is very close to Chongqing West Railway Station, 3.4 km away, and 1 km away from the three subway stations of Shangqiao, Fengxi, and Fengmingshan. It is 4.5 km away from Shapingba District Railway Station. The hotel is in the community, with teahouses, hot pot restaurants, rice noodles, pork trotter rice, Internet cafes, supermarkets, and milk tea shops. The hotel is clean, large, and affordable, with thoughtful service and the boss is easy to talk to. It is available on call. All requests can be met. Washing machines, clothes drying racks, wardrobes, sofas, and cooking areas are all available. Cainiao and ** shopping points are all very close, all in the community. I will book again in Chongqing in the future.
