Kanazawa Hotels with Kitchens

"This hotel was the best one throughout our trip. Having visited Kanazawa before, I knew all their hotels are basically on the same street, making the location extremely convenient for attractions and well-situated. So, I didn't choose the usual hotel but picked this one which seemed like a good value for money. And the check-in experience was absolutely perfect. It's been a while since I've experienced Japanese-style service, and their service here was quite good. Although it's not a traditional ryokan 'okami' service (where they unpack your bags), all their staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. The hotel is directly opposite Oyama Shrine, and you can walk through to Gyokusen-en Garden. We spent about 20 minutes exploring it in the morning. However, one thing to note is that linen changes and bathroom cleaning are subject to an additional charge. This might be something to consider for longer stays, but since we were only there for two days, it wasn't an issue. We booked a room with some basic kitchen utensils, so we were able to buy ingredients from the supermarket and make sukiyaki, which helped us balance our diet during the trip. The hotel is also very close to Omicho Market, making it convenient to buy fresh seafood and other groceries. For those on a shorter trip, cooking might not be necessary. Also, the hotel is quite new, and the room wasn't small, so it was very comfortable."

"The room was spacious and conveniently located right after turning right from the JR station's south exit. The lobby offered complimentary drinks and beverages daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The ambiance was also excellent, perfect for a vacation. My only minor complaint is that they didn't provide face cream or facial cleanser, which I've become accustomed to at Japanese hotels. I almost ran out of the ones I brought myself."

"This is the kind of homestay where many people live together. There is only a separate space for three people, and the rest are public facilities. The hotel’s location is about 10-15 minutes away from the station. In a street full of restaurants, the convenience store is far away, but the izakaya next to it is very characteristic. There are more locals, the owner is very enthusiastic, and a large conch is also presented. . The owner of the hotel is very nice and enthusiastic, and patiently help us guide the way. It may be that we are used to living in an environment with a separate bathroom, but feel that the private space is too small and inconvenient. There is nothing in the room except the quilt. We are not used to it and can only go out and stroll around. If you don’t mind these, language communication is barrier-free, and those willing to interact with locals, you can choose here."

"This hotel offers self check-in, and the room was exceptionally clean with great amenities. There are many restaurants nearby, and it's just a 5-minute walk to Omicho Market. Do note that most stalls at the market are closed on Wednesdays. The best time to visit is after 9:30 AM."

"This is the largest room type I stayed in during this Spring Festival trip. It is actually better than the pictures on the platform. The kitchen facilities are fully equipped, including refrigerator, microwave, stove, pot, tableware, cups and dishes, and kitchen paper, which are convenient for cooking. There is a separate toilet room, a dry area basin and washing machine outside the bathroom, and a clothesline. The room is not big with two beds, but it is very large with two connected tatami areas. It is very suitable for family or staying for a few days. There are only three floors in the building, and it feels like there are only six or seven rooms on each floor. There is a cafe for breakfast less than a minute on the left hand side of the downstairs, and you can send postcards at the post office! ! ! The only two points to note are: 1. Check-in is not here, you have to go to a big hotel near JR Kanazawa Station to check in. We didn't pay attention to the hotel's email notifications, and we couldn't get in when we arrived at the check-in place without the password. No one answered the hotel phone number we left, and it was only thanks to Ctrip's customer service who responded to our communication promptly that we were able to resolve the issue. I would like to commend Ctrip's customer service! 2. Take off your shoes when entering the room. Even with the air conditioner on during the Spring Festival, your feet will still feel very cold. It will be much more comfortable in other seasons. It may also be due to different physical conditions."

"The room was spacious, but the breakfast was basic. Having stayed in several three- and four-star hotels in Japan, the breakfast at Omo5 was the simplest, with only three set menus to choose from. It wasn't to my taste, especially for a three-day stay. It was truly disappointing."
