1st time staying at this hotel, Spacious room & having a very comfortable & enjoyable stay. Front Office & concierge are very friendly and helpful. Location near to Thong Lor BTS station, abt 10 mins walking distance to hotel, however free shuttle (Tut Tut) from hotel are available. Definitely will stay again for my next trip to Bangkok.

The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Sukhumvit. It's close to the Em District shopping area, and the BTS station is just next door. Plus, because the hotel is set back on a side street off the main road, you're spared from the noisy motorbike traffic, making it a peaceful oasis in the bustling center of Bangkok.
**Ambiance:** The hotel design is incredibly thoughtful. From check-in, I noticed an owl motif on the front desk staff's scarves, then was greeted by an owl when I entered the room, and even the bedside lamp has a birdcage shape – the design theme is very consistent and charming.
**Facilities:** There's a pool and gym on the top floor. Going for a swim in the early morning when no one else was there was fantastic!
**Cleanliness:** The hotel is quite new and very clean.
**Service:** The service is all about that Thai 'wai' smile – everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

The amenities are quite average compared to other Salil properties. Breakfast is ordinary, nothing to praise. Our room was on the 2nd floor, above the cocktail bar, Thaipioka, next to hotel entrance. Every night we had to deal with loud music and strong vibrations from the sound system. Sleeping was pretty difficult, and trying to rest became the main challenge during our stay.

A good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course)
2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions.
3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned
Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.

The location of this hotel is great. It's perfect for a one night budget stay if you want to explore around thonglor bts. However the room was a bit worn down and the bathroom was still wet when i checked in. Do not expect the cleanest hotel but for one night on a budget it does the job. Also the windows are not very soundproof.

The Nikko City Hotel is located right across from the Nikko Hotel, and there's a convenient route through the Nikko Hotel to the BTS Skytrain. The hotel itself is very similar to those in Japan, featuring a washlet (bidet) and many Japanese TV channels. You can adjust the air conditioning temperature, but it doesn't seem to turn off completely. However, given Thailand's consistently hot weather, there's no need to. Early check-in and luggage storage after check-out are also fine. When I returned to the hotel at 12:00 for check-in, the front desk had already placed my luggage in the room, which is a very Japanese-like and excellent service touch.
The soundproofing is decent. If I had to pick a negative, it would be that the shower water gets incredibly hot. Even when adjusted to cold, the water was still extremely hot, and I'm not sure why. Also, the water pressure was a bit low.

On the first day, when the room was cleaned, a towel was missing. I informed the front desk, and they replaced it after the room was cleaned again on the second day. I'm not sure if I would have been charged from my deposit if I hadn't mentioned it when checking out. Also, my pajamas, which I had left on the bed, were tossed onto the sofa after the housekeeping staff cleaned the room. This is the first time I've encountered something like this in all my years of staying in hotels, and it made me quite uncomfortable. I hope they improve this.
The air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable as it felt like my head was being constantly blown on.
It was nice that the room had a microwave. There were welcome fruits upon check-in. The breakfast was a bit monotonous; if you stay for a long time, you might get tired of it, but the fact that they had Oliang (Thai iced tea) among the drinks was a big plus.
All the staff I encountered on the first and second floors were very nice.
The hotel is very close to the BTS station, and if you don't feel like walking, you can take a motorbike taxi at the end of the alley.

The accommodation looks exactly like the pictures, and it's super clean! The water pressure is fantastic, almost blew me away, haha. They even provide a hairdryer and an extension cord, which is great – no need to pack too much. The staff offers excellent service, they're polite and very informative. Overall, it's a great place.
The location is good, with lots of food options nearby, and it's close to the BTS station and bus stop. 👍🏻👍🏻

During the Chinese New Year, they were very accommodating with an early check-in and late check-out, which was incredibly helpful. The only minor drawback is that even though they assigned me a room away from the metro line, it was still a bit noisy. However, that's more a Bangkok issue than a fault of the hotel itself.

There's a night market and bar opposite the hotel, which gets lively in the evenings, and a 7-Eleven is very close by. I heard the hotel breakfast is delicious, so definitely book a room with breakfast! We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, and the Hainanese chicken rice was really good and suited Chinese tastes. The service was great! It's also very secure as you need a key card to access the guest room floors.

The river view is amazing I look forward to seeing the fireworks on the river every time. The staff are friendly and accomodating and there are more than enough bathrooms and showers for everybody here. I don't have anything to complain about, I like it a lot here

GGuest UserI was quite anxious when I arrived, as many reviews mentioned the hotel being old and dated. However, after staying for three days, I have to commend this hotel! 1. The lobby is opulent, and 'rich and varied' doesn't even begin to describe the spread at breakfast. 2. The service is exceptional; they are basically ready to help with anything you need. There's always someone to open the door when you enter the lobby, and the front desk and room service are fantastic! When I checked out, they helped me book a taxi to the airport, which was cheaper than both Grab and Trip.com, costing only 500 Thai Baht (to Don Mueang Airport). 3. The gym is huge, easily over 400 square meters, with all sorts of equipment and dedicated staff. I didn't get to use the pool, but there were lots of kids enjoying it. 4. The hotel's location is convenient, right next to an MRT station. Although it's about 6-7km from the main tourist attractions, for this price, service, and facilities, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Book with confidence! In the evenings, there's a night market nearby, mostly frequented by locals, offering great value for money. If you turn right outside, there's a 'Chinatown' street with all kinds of delicious food.

KKantabuliyazhangchangzongI was quite hesitant about this hotel after reading the reviews, but after staying there, I can say its location is excellent, right by the river. The biggest selling point is definitely the riverside access, especially the free shuttle boat. This shuttle can take you to S-pier, which connects to all the major blue and orange line attractions. Taking the metro isn't the most convenient option, but you can also get to S-pier and transfer there. From my window, I could see the Ferris wheel, and there's a night market right downstairs. However, the shuttle service ends at 9 PM, which is a big drawback, as it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Also, if you're close to the river at night, you might hear the rumble of boats in the middle of the night.
While the hotel facilities are a bit old, they're not dirty. I loved the bed – it was incredibly soft and comfortable; I honestly didn't want to get up! The beds are huge. Even though they're single beds, two pushed together are bigger than beds in China, easily sleeping three people. I skipped the hotel breakfast as I'd already spent a lot of money these past few days. In the afternoon, there's hot coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch (though it's the only one). They also have iced water, chrysanthemum tea, and roselle tea, plus some biscuits. In the mornings, there are croissants and hot coffee that you can take with you. It's like a simple meal, and it's not bad at all. One of the front desk staff speaks Chinese, so communication wasn't an issue.
The hotel requires a deposit, as it's a major international brand. The bottled water in the room is complimentary and NSF certified, so feel free to drink up. The razor provided was quite good, and the water pressure in the shower was strong. From 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, there's a singer performing in the lobby, which you can discreetly listen to. There's also legitimate massage available outside. If you get hungry at night, there's a 7-Eleven and some street food stalls about 50 to 100 meters away. I wouldn't say the food is amazing or terrible, but you can try the oyster omelet. As for the swimming pool, it's actually quite nice, being on the first floor and very spacious. If your main goal is to explore along the river, this hotel is perfect. However, if you're looking to frequent places like Nana, this location might not be ideal.

GGuest UserI spent 17 nights at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my choice for a remote work and vacation stay. The room has a spacious desk where I could work comfortably, and the internet speed was consistently fast. The bed was also very comfortable. I had no trouble falling asleep at all. I’d say it’s on par with the bed at Parkroyal Collection Pickering in Singapore. The room was clean and a decent size, and the shower had strong water pressure. Locationwise, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Sala Daeng BTS or Lumphini MRT. While it may not be very close to public transport for some, one of the best things about the location is that it’s surrounded by many great restaurants to suit different budgets. In fact, the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had is just a five-minute walk from the hotel.Special thanks to Mr. Kelly from the reception team for providing exceptional service and helping me with any issues during my stay.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

There's also a connected walkway from the second floor of the adjacent EmSphere mall, so you don't have to walk in the sun. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of food, entertainment, supermarkets, convenience stores, massage places, and malls – very convenient. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to Asok station and Terminal 21. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities and decor are a bit dated, but it's generally clean and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly.

The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation.
The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are.
A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened.
There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only.
The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable.
There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened.
The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone.
The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove.
Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling.
Pros
The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person.

The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure.
The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery.
There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed.
The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly.
The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls.
The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel.
Overall
Suitable for a short stay of one night.
The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos.
The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

Номера сильно устаревшие. Мебель, стены, углы и ванная с потёртостями и сколами, требуется обновление и ремонт.
Фотографии на сайте не соответствуют текущему состоянию номеров: выглядят новыми, тогда как по факту номера давно не обновлялись.
В номере была заявлена плита, но фактически она отсутствовала — была закрыта и зафиксирована деревянной панелью, воспользоваться ею невозможно.
В номере нет чая и кофе, несмотря на то, что на фотографиях присутствует кофемашина. Чай можно взять на ресепшене в дневное время.
Кондиционер шумный, работает без переносного пульта, управление осуществляется с настенного блока с ограниченным количеством режимов. Даже на минимальном режиме шум заметный.
В туалете нет вытяжки, после душа пар остаётся в комнате, уходит только при открытой двери.
Телевизор показывает только тайские каналы, Smart TV отсутствует, подключение телефона невозможно.
Кухонная зона оборудована раковиной, шкафчиками и посудой, но нефункциональна из-за отсутствия плиты.
Из-за общего износа поверхностей номер визуально выглядит неаккуратно, несмотря на уборку.

Ванная комната была чистой, хороший напор воды.
В номере есть новый фен, холодильник, посуда и столовые приборы.
Есть балкон, выходящий во двор, на котором можно курить.
Вежливый и отзывчивый персонал: девушка на ресепшене хорошо говорит по-английски и подробно всё объясняет, горничные также оставили приятное впечатление.
Предоставляется гольф-кар трансфер до ближайших торговых центров.
Удобное расположение рядом с M-Sphere, Emporium и M-кварталом, что было основной причиной выбора отеля.

Very Good
DDezhengjianxiuI stayed here ten years ago when I first visited Bangkok, and it's still great! The room is huge, and it's incredibly quiet at night. There's a bus stop right downstairs, and it's not too far from the Sala Daeng BTS station. The breakfast menu changed daily, which was a nice touch, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. My only minor complaint is that they didn't change the bedsheets during my 7-day stay. The hotel is right next to the Mahanakhon Pixel Tower, and the 20th floor offers a fantastic spot for photos.
