The air conditioning is a bit old-fashioned, but everything else is fine. The location is quite ideal, with plenty of local food stalls nearby, a 7-Eleven right outside, and songthaews readily available. The hotel price is very reasonable. I recommend it for families with children and couples. There's an indoor pool, and the opening hours are posted on the door, though I didn't go in – Bangkok is really hot!

Very happy with my stay. The lady who checked me in was really nice and gave me some Tom yum crackers. Location is good and close to a lot of tourist spots, restaurants and bars. Close to the muay thai stadium and the arts centre. Rooftop and lobby are good areas for socialising. Rooftop if you want to sit in the sun, lobby if you want air conditioning. Room itself is clean and people are respectful. Be aware they charge for towels! Also if you’re not good with steep stairs maybe this won’t be your place. There are four levels and the steps themselves are pretty high

I stayed in room 307 I was arriving late so they sent me check in instructions as no one would be there. I arrived and found all was as described and entered without any issues. I found the room lacking, it’s pretty basic and a lick of paint would give it a brighter cleaner appearance as there were a lot of rub marks on the white walls which made it look grubby. There also wasn’t really anywhere to put you luggage so I had to use the stall. There was 2 x bottles of water, glasses, nox of tissues, 2 towels. By the sink which is in the room not the bathroom there was soap dispenser, and next to that a shelf with rail and hangers. The bathroom was small it had shampoo and shower gel dispenser but they either didn’t work or there was hardly any left it was hard to tell. The shower holder had broken and was hard to position to prevent the whole area getting wet which was an issue as if you shower at night the floor to access the loo would be soaked and dangerous a squeegee would be handy here. The loo had a bin next to it and a box with a loo roll in it. On the back of the room door was some quite firm instructions and details about fines for damages which I found a little strong. Also stated no eating in room due to any and cockroaches, which brings me to note as I closed the door upon entering a small cockroach looking creature came through the hinge. Then I scoured the room and found another same looking bug. Now I’ve seen big dark brown ones and small ones before this was not that so that’s why I say ‘creature’. I googled and found many people saying expect roaches and bugs, I found it hard to sleep and bought a can of roach/bug spray effective for 12 hours and sorts the room the next morning. I slept better that night. The room did not have a kettle I’m guessing because sugar would attract bugs. But there was tea and coffee down stairs in the bar reception area, this is a very ‘eclectic’ area. There’s lots of stuff which makes it interesting and gives it the character which looks great in photos but unfortunately has gathered dust so could do with a good spring clean. The staff I found were extremely helpful and very friendly and made the stay very pleasant. There are loads of street food places and restaurants and bars near by also a 7/11 right across the street where they do an amazing latte for just 40 baht also there is a cash point which I’m sure I didn’t get charged a fee to use! All in all this location is central and gives you walking access to most of the city sights I walked a big route talking in the Golden Mount, round to the reclining Buddha and loads of other temples on the way and way back. The place just needs a little refresh.

I enjoyed my stay at Siam subway hostel. I had a private single room with shared bathroom. Being a solo traveller that's all I needed. Very close to trains and a great base to explore chinatown. 7-11 was about a 5 min walk away and the area seemed very safe with security patrols of a night time in the area. Laundry was very close, maybe 4 or 5 doors away. My only real complaint was the roadworks noise on 1 day of my stay which woke me up. These things can't be helped and not the fault of the hostel.

This store is very good. It was renovated not long ago, so it is very new, fully equipped, and beautifully decorated. The most important thing is that the front desk staff is very good! They are always responsive! I really appreciate your care for me in the past 3 days. In addition, the location is also great. There is a street next to the hotel with massage services and 711. It is very close to the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple. If you want to experience the traditional Thai food market, there is one near the hotel on the way to the Grand Palace. Then the subway is very close to MRT [Sam Yot]station ,a 10-minute walk Attached the food and kittens nearby You can try this hotel. 这家酒店很不错,可以冲!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just over a 10-minute walk from the Grand Palace and also a 10-minute walk to Khao San Road. It's very convenient for taking a boat from the Chao Phraya River pier; the pier is straight ahead from the front entrance of the Grand Palace, where you can catch a boat for 40 baht. There are many small restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel, but note that most restaurants are open during the day and close in the evening. The staff are very friendly, always smiling, and highly professional. Do note that the rooms do not provide toothbrushes or soap. Rooms facing the inner courtyard are very quiet. The elevator access is also very convenient. I would like to thank the staff team and the head of management who are very attentive and professional. I recommend this hotel for a discovery stay.

There are 2 sides to this hotel Side B is ok and reasonable room with reasonable bathroom. Which our friends were in. Side A where we had a room was extremely tired. The bathroom window was broken and could not close. The shower could only be used by removing the shower head and holding by hand. The condition of the bathroom was very tired and old.. we tried to change rooms but hotel was full. You had to make your own tea in a plastic cup using a make shift kitchen on the ground floor.  Basically this hotel is for back packers who are on a tight budget. We paid more than what I would say is too much at £56/night. We changed our 1 night stay for a 4 star accommodation for more or less the same price. Staff were lovely and the hotel is spotless but I would say it’s a good bed for the night at a good location where attractions such as the Grand Pallace is walking distance

This place is extremely budget-friendly—about half the price of other options. It offers a private room, which is a major plus over shared dorms if you value privacy and undisturbed sleep. The receptionist was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The location is deep in a local neighborhood, perfect for an authentic, ”underground” Bangkok experience and discovering hidden food spots. Important Notes: It's very raw and basic. There are only cold showers, no hairdryer, and you take out your own trash. It's not for those who need things spotless. For the price, it's an interesting no-frills experience for adventurous, low-maintenance solo travelers wanting their own space in a real local area.

GGuest UserYou won't find a better value hotel in Bangkok. It's really close to the pier, and you can get to central Asok in just 20 minutes by boat. The hotel is brand new, the gym is well-equipped, and the infinity pool is quite large and absolutely stunning – it uses filtered seawater. Breakfast is also very good. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis is the most complete hostel I've ever been to. There are six floors with several balconies and all of it remains spotless. The common areas are awesome. The river view is amazing I look forward to seeing the fireworks on the river every time. The staff are friendly and accomodating and there are more than enough bathrooms and showers for everybody here. I don't have anything to complain about, I like it a lot here

GGuest UserI was quite anxious when I arrived, as many reviews mentioned the hotel being old and dated. However, after staying for three days, I have to commend this hotel! 1. The lobby is opulent, and 'rich and varied' doesn't even begin to describe the spread at breakfast. 2. The service is exceptional; they are basically ready to help with anything you need. There's always someone to open the door when you enter the lobby, and the front desk and room service are fantastic! When I checked out, they helped me book a taxi to the airport, which was cheaper than both Grab and Trip.com, costing only 500 Thai Baht (to Don Mueang Airport). 3. The gym is huge, easily over 400 square meters, with all sorts of equipment and dedicated staff. I didn't get to use the pool, but there were lots of kids enjoying it. 4. The hotel's location is convenient, right next to an MRT station. Although it's about 6-7km from the main tourist attractions, for this price, service, and facilities, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Book with confidence! In the evenings, there's a night market nearby, mostly frequented by locals, offering great value for money. If you turn right outside, there's a 'Chinatown' street with all kinds of delicious food.

GGuest UserI booked a river view room, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic sight of the Chao Phraya River's nightscape. The room was clean and tidied daily. Breakfast was a generous spread. Walking out and turning right, it's about a 5-minute stroll to Asiatique The Riverfront. From 10 AM to 8 PM, there's a boat service every hour from the hotel to the Central Pier. From there, you can take another boat for 10 Baht per person directly to ICONSIAM on the opposite bank. For 600 baht a night including breakfast, the value for money is really good.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better. Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

GGuest UserThe hotel location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain station. There's also a connected walkway from the second floor of the adjacent EmSphere mall, so you don't have to walk in the sun. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of food, entertainment, supermarkets, convenience stores, massage places, and malls – very convenient. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to Asok station and Terminal 21. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities and decor are a bit dated, but it's generally clean and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly.

AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights. Cons The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation. The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are. A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened. There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only. The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable. There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened. The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone. The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove. Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling. Pros The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person. Clean bed linen. The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure. The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery. There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed. The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls. The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel. Overall Suitable for a short stay of one night. The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos. The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for four nights. Many reviews mentioned the hotel's remote and inconvenient location. It's true that it's nestled in a quiet alley within a wealthy Sukhumvit neighborhood, so the location itself isn't an issue, and it's suitable for longer stays. It's quite far from tourist attractions, and the alleys in Sukhumvit are winding and don't connect well, which can be troublesome if you're walking. However, I always took taxis, so it was fine. It's a bit of a distance from 7-Eleven. The environment and facilities are definitely up to four-star standards. The security guard was very proactive and responsible. My two points of confusion were: first, upon check-out, the front desk insisted I wait for them to inspect the room before leaving, even though I had already paid a deposit. Second, after the room was cleaned, the hand towels and floor towels were removed, and only one regular towel was left. I don't understand this practice, and in the subsequent days, fewer and fewer towels were left after cleaning.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated almost the end of silom but close to Hindu temple for me to visit and more convenient for me to worship almost everyday when I get bored or when I have Sth in my mind . The breakfast is the same old same old and no matter time fly so is the same but u need to rotating the hot breakfast menu and too minimise a food cost and food waste after service. The room was great ! And thanks for an upgrade with the tup and made me to relax after the humid and hot day or after window shopping. The room is clean and housekeeping are friendly and ask for the service . Staff are friendly for checking in and I feel bad when staff complain and u under the pressure and have to get police involve and I want to step up and help u to rectify a problem but I am off duty as I am on a short vocation so next time and don’t be afraid and stay tough with this people cause they complain too much but always pay less and expect more or not enough ( tell them ) or ask them to go to neighbour hood hotel instead or try to negotiate with them and catering the best u can by not getting affect by room revenue . I hope to see u again in the future maybe in other excutive room with a bath tub and view but u all need to refurbish some room or the best type of room to upgrade or selling to a guest and increase room revenue incremental .
