Mountain view Hotels in Jeju City

I traveled to Jeju Island with my daughter and we stayed in Hamdeok for the first three days. For the last two days, I wanted to be closer to the airport, so we decided to stay in the city. After a lot of searching and comparing prices, location, and reviews of hotels in the area, we settled on this one. Overall, it's a good hotel with excellent value for money. It's clean and quiet at night, set back a bit from the road. It's about a five-minute walk to Lotte Duty Free, and along the way, there are places like Gamjatang (pork bone soup) restaurants, Olive Young, and ABC Mart, as well as other souvenir shops. It's very convenient for taking taxis, shopping, and dining. The airport is also very close, about a ten-minute taxi ride. The hotel staff were okay; not overly enthusiastic, but not rude either. For this price point, it's perfectly fine.

Our whole family thought this place was good, but there's room for improvement, which I'll list out: Areas for improvement: 1. The pool fee is 1000 KRW (about 5 RMB) and is paid to the hotel upon check-out. 2. The pool water wasn't very clean. 3. The curtains in our room had oil stains, and the sheets and duvet covers were damaged (Room 916). 4. Transportation isn't very convenient (by bus). There's only one bus stop nearby, and it's not very close. We always had to take a bus to the bus terminal (lines 431, 432) and then transfer to another bus. Pros: 1. The location is excellent. It's near the sea (no beach), and it's lively at night, great for a run. There's a seafood street by the sea, and it's not far from Dongmun Market. There are 7-Eleven, CU convenience stores, and BHC fried chicken nearby (don't get the cheese flavor, it's very greasy and sweet, but they do provide side dishes, cola, and cheese sauce). It's also not far from Chilseong-ro and there's a supermarket next door. 2. The hotel has deep, shallow, and hot spring-like pools.

The room was more than spacious enough for our family of four, and the view was fantastic. The lobby has a cafe with a pool right in front, and the view is superb. The front desk staff had a bright atmosphere, were cheerful, and provided excellent hospitality. The hotel was incredibly clean and beautiful, perhaps due to a recent renovation. There's a convenience store in the parking lot that's open until late at night. The breakfast restaurant was a buffet, very clean, with a wide variety of options, and very reasonably priced. We would definitely like to stay here again when we return to Jeju Island.

First off, the location is truly fantastic – really close to the airport, duty-free shops, and all the main attractions. There's even a bus stop right outside the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. We arrived late on New Year's Eve, around 11 PM, and check-in was still super fast. Everyone at the hotel was lovely, and the room had a great view; you could see the ocean right from the window. There's a supermarket next to the hotel, and the potato pork bone soup across the street was delicious too. Now for the only downside: it's quite close to the road, so there was a bit of noise at night. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Jeju Island is beautiful!

You can watch the sunset, and the scenery is beautiful. There's a convenience store, Starbucks, and a gift shop nearby, which is very convenient.

Good location, clean, great hostess, bus stop 5 minute walk, overall very good stay, 20 minute walk to markets.

This is my second stay at this hotel. It's the closest one to Hamdeok Beach, and it's clean and hygienic – no complaints there. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including Kyochon Chicken and Baskin Robbins right next door. Just a heads up, the rooms don't provide toiletries.

The hotel room was suitable as a simple stay for the night. We appreciated the location right by the beach, near souvenir gift stores and nice eateries. Whilst it’s a more old-fashioned and vintage-esque hotel, the room was comfortable and the shower pressure was lovely. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. My friend and I had an incident in the late night around 3am and 4am with knocking from a Korean male neighbour. We’re not sure of his intentions as he spoke in Korean and could not understand, but it was a very frightening experience. It took several calls to the front desk to finally get through to staff and when I explained there’s a man knocking on our door outside — they did not show any sense of urgency or took the matter seriously by helping us to check our floor. Instead, the male hotel staff said he’s sleeping and never came to our room to knock, which confirmed it was a stranger. When we asked for security or female staff to assist us, the male staff said there was no one else except male staff. We ended up staying up in fear and had disrupted sleep. In the morning, a female staff at the front desk translated to us that the man who knocked was a “student with disability”. A very strange experience and poor explanation given, there should have been more efforts to help make us feel safe and comfortable — especially being two females travelling together. Stay safe to future guests, and please latch your door and check the balcony is locked.

Nyce hotel , not too far from the airport probably 30mins drive. Centrally located in old jeju, close to the shopping areas and if you are booking tours then the pick up point is close to this hotel.

I would say everything was excellent until the moment you needed help, when something didn’t work or something was missing in the room. Then you realize that there is no one at the hotel, and the only remote front desk has staff who don’t speak English and yell at you. Moreover, when trying to resolve our issue, we finally managed to get someone sent to us — but he stumbled into our room, reeking of alcohol, and clearly had no intention of solving anything. Overall, it really spoiled the impression.
