Best Nagoya Hotels

"The hotel is quite new, and its facilities have a noticeable design aesthetic. The most basic room type is very compact; I had to push my suitcase under the desk to lay it flat. Despite being small, it's very clean and the air is fresh. Being on the side near the train tracks, you can hear the trains, but it didn't disturb my sleep. From the chaise lounge by the bed, you can enjoy panoramic city skyline views at night. The view is expansive. I saw beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and even a dense fog in the early morning at different times. The hotel is located above Nagoya Station's central hub. Although there are signs everywhere, it still took me a while to find the entrance on the ground floor. The lobby is on the 15th floor, and the entrance plaza is incredibly spacious, extending one or two hundred meters directly to the Marriott lobby. Floors 12-13 host a food festival with many delicious options. Overall, it's a good hotel."

"The 32-square-meter room with three beds was an acceptable size. The hotel was clean, and the staff were polite. Although there was no Chinese service, their English was good. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation. The only downside was the slightly long 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station (according to Google Maps); I later found that getting off at Fushimi Station would have been a much quicker walk. Nearby, you'll find a Don Quijote, Life Supermarket, and a selection of specialty restaurants. Overall, it was a pretty good stay."

"An absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel's location is simply perfect, right above Nagoya Station. You can watch the trains coming and going from your window. When we later transferred to Kobe, we just took the elevator straight down to the station and hopped on the Thunderbird, it was incredibly seamless. The room was also very comfortable and spacious. Since there were three of us, I was a bit worried about room sizes in Japanese hotels, but the Marriott's room was very generous, allowing us to spread out all our luggage comfortably. The hotel facilities were also excellent, and the toiletries provided daily were abundant and high-quality. Choosing to stay at the Marriott was a very smart decision."

"Great location! Turn left from the hotel and walk straight to Nagoya Central Tower. There's a drugstore on the right with Chinese staff, so communication is seamless. The room is spacious, and the service is excellent; they even helped carry our luggage directly to the room."

"I frequently stay at Sotetsu hotels, and I'm consistently pleased with their overall atmosphere and service quality. The provided amenities are incredibly comprehensive, including skincare lotion, emulsion, facial cleanser, cleansing oil, cotton pads, hair wax, hair mask, cotton swabs, hair ties, sunscreen, face masks, bath additives, and more. This particular hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station. There's also an underground passage leading to the hotel; it's a bit roundabout, but it's very convenient on rainy or extremely sunny days. (The Rikimaru Ramen next door is also quite good.)"

"I've stayed here twice. This hotel is very close to Nagoya Station, making transportation convenient, and the surrounding area has extensive commercial facilities. I stayed in a twin room, which was 19 square meters with two 1-meter beds. The room was small, but you could open two 20-inch suitcases. As expected, hotels in Japan are always clean. Check-in is after 3 PM. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage and go out to explore. Check-out is at 10 AM. Japanese hotels definitely don't have the same flexible check-in/check-out times as hotels in China."

"Stayed with BWH for nights. Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola. Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it."

"1. I'm so satisfied with the location. Sakae Station is a 3-minute walk. You can get here within 10 minutes after the Mirai Tower night view tour. Across the street, there's Don Quixote, open 24 hours a day. 2. The room is wide and pleasant. 3. The staff is friendly 4. There are so many good restaurants around. 5. The hotel is perfect for the Mirai Tower night view tour."

"Overall, it was pretty decent. The room rate in September was quite reasonable, and the location is convenient for getting around, situated in the Sakae business district. Several subway stations are within easy walking distance. The hotel was quite busy; I arrived around 3 PM for check-in and still had to wait for 10 minutes. The room wasn't small by Japanese standards, and it even had a massager, which was great for a quick massage after a long day of walking. The front desk area offered a coffee and cocoa machine, and the laundry room next door had an ice machine – all very convenient. The only minor hiccup was that housekeeping misplaced my blanket. It took two days of back-and-forth communication to get it back. While their attitude was very polite, constantly apologizing, their service ultimately fell short. They only provided a hotel blanket as a temporary replacement *after* I specifically requested it. The entire process was very inefficient; once my blanket was located, they first sent a photo for my confirmation, which further delayed things, before finally sending someone to pick it up from the factory. I even had to alter my itinerary for the last day to wait for its return. Aside from verbal apologies, there was no compensation whatsoever. So, a traveler's note: always pack your personal items carefully before leaving the room..."

"Hotel is easily accessible from Nagoya station. Reception and lobby are at 18th floor, and you can collect your amenities beside the reception counter. Room is as shown in photo. May not have enough space if you have a big luggage to open on floor but its okay for me"
