"The biggest plus is the location. As a solo female traveler visiting Nagoya for the first time, I felt very safe. It's only a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and there's an LV store right downstairs. The area reminds me a bit of the shops above Guangzhou's Taikoo Hui. There are plenty of dining options nearby too. However, I had to request housekeeping; my room wasn't cleaned until the fourth day. I later found out it was because I hadn't hung the 'please clean' sign on the door. Other than that, everything else was fine. Hotels in Japan at this price point tend to be on the smaller side. The complimentary breakfast from the bakery downstairs was nice – a donut, a croissant, and a drink every day. It's definitely better value than buying it separately. If you're traveling solo and prioritize safety and convenience, this hotel is a great choice."

"Location is very good just a few min walk from Nagoya station. Property feels really new and everything is in great condition. Room is on the small side even for Japanese standards but also more modern, plus for great views. Well cleaned, no noise issues and nothing to complain about. Good breakfast also with an a la carte option and some buffet dishes. Staff was great throughout the stay. All in all great stay in a great place and will definitely consider this place next time."

"Excellent service, they handled our luggage very well. The room was also very comfortable. I especially loved their breakfast, which had a great variety. The location is perfect for exploring on foot right downstairs, and it's close to a famous unagi restaurant. I'd definitely come back here."

"The hotel is located near Taiko-dori Exit, but the name is a bit misleading. It's not actually by the Shinkansen exit, but closer to the Meitetsu line. It's still a bit of a walk from the station, and when coming from the airport line, I initially had no idea which way to go to find the hotel. The room was a typical Japanese-style room, as expected—quite small, but perfectly fine for a stay. The bathroom was an integrated unit, and also very clean. The breakfast was really bad ✗✗✗. While it was a ”buffet,” the selection was extremely limited. A few meatballs and some hash browns pretty much made up the entire offering. The dining area was also tiny, only about the size of two guest rooms. However, the service was something I was quite satisfied with ✅✅✅: The front desk had a dual-sided translator that supported multiple languages, making communication very easy. Before checking in, I emailed the hotel about room types and luggage delivery, and they responded quite quickly. The front desk can arrange Yamato Transport (Kuroneko Takkyubin) to send large luggage ahead to your next destination, which saves a lot of effort during your trip. The price varies depending on the luggage size, and delivery usually takes one day (for the Takayama-Hokuriku region)."

"The Nikko Style Nagoya is a truly wonderful hotel. The moment you walk into the lobby feels modern, warm and cosy. It is not your typical hotel in Japan. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. The staff at the reception were very helpful and spoke good English. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, comfortable and clean, although the bed is a little too firm for me. The buffet breakfast has a good variety, with plenty of local specialties. There is a choice of main course and I highly recommend the Japanese fish option. My only negative comment is that my used plates were not cleared quickly enough, despite the waiter walking past my table a couple of times. The location is about 12 minutes away on foot from Nagoya Stain and 20 minutes on foot from the Sakae shopping area, but there are plenty of interesting small restaurants close by. The price I paid was reasonable for the product and service offered. I will definitely stay at this hotel again."

"A little bit dirties in the toilet and a little bit smelly but acceptable. Location is good but very very crowded at night for night life. Room is a but small. But overall the hotel is price worthy."

"Honestly, overall it's pretty good and has a lot of character. The mini burgers at breakfast were delicious. And the quiet room I specifically requested was indeed very quiet. However, the air conditioner blows directly at you, and you can only adjust it to strong or weak wind, so you're either freezing or boiling, and it's quite noisy. Secondly, the duvet is shockingly short; anyone over 165 cm (I'm 162 cm myself, no exaggeration) won't be able to cover themselves properly. Also, the curtains aren't blackout, so if you're sensitive to light, you should choose carefully, but it's okay if you bring an eye mask. Overall, it's a hotel with character, worth experiencing but not suitable for a long stay (not ideal for more than three days)."

"The renovated rooms are really modern and well-equipped. They're not huge, but super convenient! Takashimaya is within walking distance, and it's easy to get to Meitetsu Station. Perfect for sightseeing. There are tons of shopping and dining options nearby, so you'll never have to worry about food. For breakfast, they even offer Nagoya specialties like Ogura toast and Kishimen noodles. I'd definitely choose this place again on my next trip!"

"The hotel's location is good, right in the center of Rong. However, the room size is quite small, and the lighting is very dim. The room design feels a bit overly complex and impractical, and the mini-fridge is ridiculously tiny. The hotel corridors and elevators are predominantly dark-toned, making them feel very gloomy. The biggest flaw is that the hotel starts from the 24th floor upwards, requiring a transfer to another elevator on the 24th floor. During peak hours in the evening, there's a long queue for the elevators, which would make descending very difficult in an emergency. The front desk staff also aren't as welcoming as in other hotels; sometimes they don't even greet guests passing by. I won't be staying here again."

"The only downside of this hotel is the view – you're looking at a building and a large chimney. Everything else is great, though. The room isn't huge. What's really convenient are the complimentary mini-sized toiletries downstairs. It's so handy when you're traveling and need makeup remover and face wash, and they're actually quite good quality. We also ate at the downstairs restaurant a few times, and it was pretty good. The location is about 500 meters from the subway station, which is a decent, not too far, not too close walk."
