Nagoya Hotels with Bars

This time, Nagoya was just a transit point for me. It was my first time exploring without lugging around heavy suitcases, thanks to coincidentally booking the JR Gate Tower Hotel. 📍 **Excellent Location:** The hotel is directly connected to Nagoya Station via a dedicated passage. Whether it's sunny, windy, or rainy, and no matter the size of your luggage, you're completely unaffected [Party R]. 🚧 **Unbeatable Transportation:** Nagoya Station is a hub for JR Shinkansen, JR conventional lines, Nagoya Railroad (Kintetsu/Meitetsu), and the subway. Whether you're heading to other cities or nearby shopping districts, you can quickly reach the hotel right after exiting the station, saving you time. 🏨 **Room Size:** The room facilities are relatively new. The aisle is wide enough for two 26-inch suitcases, and the guest rooms are located on higher floors, offering excellent views of the Nagoya cityscape. 🛍️ **Super Convenient for Dining and Shopping:** The lobby is on the 15th floor. Besides the breakfast restaurant, there's also a fairly large convenience store next to the lobby floor! Floors 11-13 below are home to popular restaurants, Takashimaya, and JR Gate Tower. The hotel's hot spring and shower facilities are excellent, and the other guests are very considerate. However, it's a bit inconvenient that you have to take off your shoes right at the entrance on the first floor, and there were some small prickles on the carpet that bothered my feet. But I respect that this might be a local custom.

Firstly, a big thank you to the front desk staff – they were really enthusiastic and had a great attitude. English communication was absolutely no problem. I went to the convenience store to buy bread and fruit but didn't have a knife. The front desk staff went to the restaurant to borrow a dining knife for me to cut the fruit (and it was already midnight!). The room space was very generous, easily accommodating two large suitcases. For Japan, that's quite spacious. Although it's not directly connected to JR, and you might need an umbrella if it rains, the Fushimi station is very close, about a 5-minute walk. The only downside is the poorly designed bathroom, with water splashing out everywhere.

The location right next to Kanayama Station is super convenient for getting around (I prefer it over Nagoya Station and Sakae). However, because of the single-pane windows, even on the 18th floor, you can still hear the train. Luckily, the noise level stays under 40 decibels, so it won't wake you up. There's also a shuttle bus nearby that goes to the Aeon Atsuta store. From the window, you can see an Aeon store, distant snow-capped mountains, and a little figure holding an umbrella on the roof of the building opposite. The twin beds can be pushed together, but there's a bunch of wires and equipment under the nightstand that prevents it from moving completely. This leaves a gap of about 20cm between the bed and the wall at the head, which is fine for a family of three to sleep comfortably. The mattress is a Simmons, and it's quite comfortable to sleep on, though the pillows are a bit too narrow. The bathroom looks a little older than it actually is, but it's perfectly functional.

The facilities were a bit basic, plainer than I expected for a park hotel. The toiletries were quite simple. We booked the King theme, which was 200 yuan cheaper than the Pirate theme, but they felt pretty similar, with the same room layout and everything. The bunk beds were very narrow, only suitable for children under 10. No one informed us about the treasure hunt, and we almost missed it. There are very few dining and shopping options nearby, and even the vending machine items were much more expensive than in the city. Not great value for money. The kids loved it, though.

Not only was it beautiful, but there were also color 々 amenities! The kitchen, toilet, bath and wash basin were very clean and comfortable. The hair dryers that women are happy with were refas, straight irons, and even irons of cote. ３ I stayed for a night, but I spent it without any inconvenience! There were seven eleven in the １ minute walk, and the location was good near the downtown I would like to borrow it when I go to Nagoya again! There's a bathtub, but it's not allowed to take a bath. I'm very happy if I can take a bath! I was not allowed to take a bath, but I was wondering which one was written in the bathroom for the bath. The location is very close to Nagoya Station, but the area in front of the station is under construction, making the routes confusing. Following navigation generally works, but definitely don't use Chinese navigation apps as they give completely wrong directions. I read online that they offer Chinese service, but don't believe that! We stayed for three days and only encountered a staff member who spoke Chinese on the last night. Otherwise, communication was through a translation device, which was usually pretty basic. The king-size room maintained the typical small and compact Japanese style.

The hotel is quite old but clean and provides good facilities. It’s located perfectly right next to the Nagoya station and in the same building as Meitetsu bus station. So it’s convenient to take a bus continuing to Takayama and other cities without any hassles. Many cafes and restaurants are underground and nearby buildings. I would really recommend this hotel for the stay in Nagoya.

The room is spacious and well equipped. It's a bit far from Nagoya station and not many buses around the hotel. It's a bit inconvenient. There's shuttle bus available in the morning on weekdays. Longer service time on weekends. Maybe the hotel is busy, the lounge staff wasn't too friendly. I have short hair but I found a long hair on my bed under the blanket. The bedsheet has some black colour fabric fibers but I wore light colour pajamas.

This was my first time staying here. The room was larger than your average business hotel, perhaps due to its age. There's a bus stop right outside, so there should be a direct bus from the airport. It's also close to the station, and the location is fantastic. 👍 As soon as you step out of the hotel, you can find a variety of restaurants nearby or just a short walk to the underground shopping mall. I'll definitely stay here again next time if I can find a good deal. The only problem was that the room was a bit dark. 😅
