"Pretty clean hotel with nice friendly staff.  The restaurant however is a bit too slow on orders. The gym could also use more equipments, such as some barbells and machines. Overall it was a comfortable happy stay."

"This offer cost me 17 dirhams due to a special promotion, which is a suitable price for this kind of option. Our room was on the 4th floor with a view of a narrow gap, so we considered it a viewless room. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains allowed us to get a good night's sleep. The internet signal was excellent, suitable for watching videos and making calls. The room had several light sources. There are photos of the rooftop, which has a lounge area and a pool with cool water. The hotel has parking, which is convenient for travelers with cars and close to the airport. They offer breakfast, and there's a fitness center in the building, but we didn't use these services. The staff kindly allowed us a late check-out. The bathroom needs some minor renovation; the mirror light wasn't working, there were traces of rust, and the water pressure in the toilet was weak. These are not critical flaws and can be easily fixed."

"The hotel is located in a good location. The city is not meant for walking but you can actually walk to the very big mall called Oman Avenues Mall which also has IKEA. Room is quite nice except the bathroom that has a lot of visible mold on the ceiling. Service at check-in is good and staff is friendly."

"Had a wonderfull stay at Mysk. The atmospher from the moment you enter the hotel is amazing. Nice facilities, free water, and the creme and soap in the room smells lovely. The food is really tasty and the staff is kind and helpfull. Would definately stay here again."

"I booked one twin room and one king room, requesting quiet rooms close to each other. When checking in, the female receptionist gave me a twin room on the sixth floor and a king room on the third floor. The twin room had a lot of equipment noise. After complaining, they moved me to the room across the hall, but when I walked in, it was a king room... They clearly had twin and king rooms close together, so I don't know why they didn't give them to me initially. 🙄 The third-floor room was quiet at first, but then at 6 AM the next morning, the construction site across the street started up. The hotel didn't even seem full, so I don't know why all the rooms they assigned were facing the construction. 😤 I saw a laundry room listed in the amenities, and after searching for a while, I found two washing machines on the fifth floor. They looked dirty, so I didn't dare use them. The breakfast selection was quite limited, comparable to a budget hotel in China, and leaned towards Indian flavors. Other staff members were friendly though. The room had a large water dispenser, but we didn't want to drink from it, and the staff promptly provided several bottles of drinking water, which was great. The room also had a microwave and some tableware. Overall, it was just an alright stay for one night, and the bedding was comfortable."

"We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Muscat during our road trip from Riyadh through Dubai and finally into Muscat, and it turned out to be the perfect stop to unwind and explore the city. The hotel has a charming 90s vibe—classic, warm, and nostalgic in the best way. Despite its vintage character, everything is impressively clean and well maintained. The location is another big plus: right near the beach, making it easy to enjoy a morning walk or a relaxing sunset. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. After long hours on the road, that level of hospitality really stands out. Overall, a comfortable and memorable stay, and a great base for touring around Muscat."

"Seriously, DO NOT take a taxi from the hotel! You'll get ripped off! A taxi hailed outside costs 2 local currency (around 40 RMB), but the hotel charges 10 local currency (around 200 RMB) for the same ride. Always confirm the price before getting in! I got scammed, and it completely ruined my otherwise great impression of Oman. The hotel taxi service at the end just spoiled everything!"

"A pleasant, cozy hotel in a convenient area. It's a 10-minute walk to the Ruwi bus station. A bit dated, but still comfortable. Good price, and hearty, varied breakfasts. In our room, the TV tuner wasn't working, and the refrigerator and TV outlets were swapped (the fridge would turn off during the day when I left the room, I only noticed in the evening that it hadn't been working all day). There was a very unpleasant incident at breakfast on December 15th with a staff member wearing glasses. I arrived a bit earlier than my friend for breakfast, gave room number 415, and mentioned that my friend would join me in 5 minutes. When my friend arrived, the staff member asked for his room number. My friend couldn't remember it and was trying to check his card when the staff member's phone rang. He answered the phone, completely ignoring my friend. My friend stood waiting for several minutes while the staff member talked on the phone. Another staff member eventually invited him to breakfast. Later, the same staff member approached our table and announced that breakfast ended at 10:30, then started taking my friend's plate while he was still eating. Only after I told him we would be done within five minutes did he leave our table. I've never experienced such disrespect for guests. Usually, at other hotels, when breakfast ends, they close the buffet but guests are calmly allowed to finish what they've already taken; no one is rushed out. However, there were no such incidents on the following days, and we finished breakfast before 10:40. All other staff members were very polite; I don't know what caused that specific behavior."

"Very nice stay overall. The room was super nice and fully up to Mövenpick’s premium standard. The staff were also extremely friendly, and they were very flexible — they even offered breakfast, which I really appreciated. I spent my Christmas Eve there, and they had an event by the swimming pool. It was a bit pricey, but you could see they put a lot of effort into it, and higher prices are expected in a premium hotel. The location is very good, close to the main attractions and also near the airport by taxi. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a jacuzzi, and the view from the pool area is quite open with a beautiful mountain backdrop. There are also several restaurant options on-site, which is convenient. Overall, it was a solid and enjoyable stay, and I definitely recommend it."
