Located near the South Plaza, it's very close to both the train station and the subway. The room had a mini-fridge and plenty of drinking water. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly made noodles – the beef noodle soup had a generous amount of beef!

I recently stayed at Swiss Hotel in Shanghai, overall, I had a positive experience. The hotel is Situated in a central part of the city near some landmarks such as the Jing’an temple. There are cafes, malls and restaurants walking distance. The room and common areas were decent and tidy. My room 819 was spacious and well illuminated with a nice view. The hotel has a nice spa with steam room, sauna and jacuzzis and also a swimming pool. Gym is medium size well equipped. breakfast is included with Asians and western options. The internet connection was good in general.

The location is fantastic, super close to Metro Line 2. It's right around the corner from Exit 12. The environment is quite nice, and the lobby is particularly quiet with a great atmosphere; I noticed a lot of foreigners checking in. The soundproofing in the rooms is also pretty good, so I slept comfortably. The hot water was excellent too. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

The hotel is very convenient, located near Shanghai Railway Station. The staff kindly allowed me to check in early and upgraded my room. Although there was a language barrier, they were very helpful and used a translation app to communicate with me. The hotel also has free facilities such as a kids’ playroom, gym, and laundry room.

Excellent Location and Service, but Limited Halal Options
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Here are the details of our experience:
Pros:
• Top-Tier Location: The location is perfect—everything is close by. Even when we needed a taxi, the rides were very affordable because of the central positioning.
• Exceptional Service: The reception staff was very welcoming and professional. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and to our surprise, they were able to check us in immediately. This was an unexpected and very much appreciated gesture!
• Cleanliness: Housekeeping is done daily to a high standard. The rooms are spotless and, importantly, have no unpleasant odors. For families traveling with children, this level of cleanliness is a huge plus.
Cons (Dining):
The only significant downside for us was the breakfast variety, specifically for Muslim guests.
• Limited Halal Selection: While there is food available, the options for those following a Halal diet are very limited. We found ourselves eating mostly fried eggs, pastries, every day as there was no variety.
• Labeling Issues: We noticed that the staff frequently mixes up the labels for pork and chicken sausages. Because of this inconsistency, we didn't want to take any risks and stuck to eggs for the duration of our stay.
Verdict:
If you value location, cleanliness, and great service, this is a fantastic choice. However, if you have specific dietary requirements (Halal), be prepared for a very repetitive breakfast menu.

This hotel is a bit outdated. It use to be a bit special back then but now it’s old. Curtain have holes, there is cigarette stains on the bathtube.. layout of the room are interesting but finally not ergonomic, toilet are basically in the bedroom, you can close it with a glass door but there is a lack of privacy, shower is front of the toilet wich is not super hygienic, bathtub is inside the bedroom it could be interesting but there is a bit of suage smell.. I like the idea of reclaim wood etc.. but it make the place very outdated. Good point bed are comfortable.

The soundproofing at Orange Hotel is excellent, it's very quiet and peaceful, perfect for short business trips or tourism. The hotel is located on Wuning Road near Line 14. While it's a bit of a walk from the subway station, it's manageable. The staff, both the guys and girls, are all very enthusiastic and helpful. Overall, it's a pretty good place.
The place was amazing in this price. Unfortunately, another CJIA exists nearby and I had trouble locating it on Gaode/AMAP.
Most important: the hotel offers complimentary breakfast. Please don't fall for it. They order it from Mc Cafe nearby. So if you are a family and want more breakfasts, they would charge 20-22 Yuan per person, however, same meal at McCafe 50 metres away costs 9.9 Yuan. I am not being too critical but its an advice for everyone.
.
I was initially given a room which smelled strongly of cigarettes. I requested to change and thankfully they did.

I booked a 'Sleep Well' room hoping for a good night's sleep. Because of a neck issue, I can't use overly firm pillows. I asked the hotel if they had low buckwheat pillows or kids' pillows, but they couldn't provide any. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, across various categories, this is the first one where they didn't have a low pillow, and the hotel offered no further explanation.
At 6 AM, I was woken up by the light. The room's curtains don't close properly and let light in. I brought up the issue with the front desk when I checked out at 8:30 AM and asked for a follow-up call. By 3 PM, I still hadn't received a call back, so I rang the hotel again. The front desk agent said he was on a different shift and wasn't aware of the situation, promising to have a colleague contact me. It took another eleven minutes for someone to call me.
They explained that they had already asked a worker to adjust the curtains, but apparently, the curtains in this hotel are poorly installed, and all rooms are like this, not just mine. I then asked, 'If I booked a 'Sleep Well' room, how can I sleep well with so much light?' The staff replied that 'Sleep Well' refers to the mattress, pillows, and essential oils. Does that mean it doesn't include blackout curtains? What's the point of essential oils if the curtains don't block out light?
I suggested a compromise: they could just refund me the 40-yuan price difference, as if I had booked the most basic room. I'd take the loss and wouldn't come back. The staff offered me a 90-day HUAZHU Gold Card membership, but I declined as I don't frequently stay at Ji Hotel.
I then asked if I could add them on WeChat to send photos, and they said yes, confirming my WeChat ID. I've been waiting ever since, but there's been no response! No one has contacted me!
Regarding cleanliness, the shower design requires you to enter barefoot, and the floor was incredibly dirty!
This isn't my first time staying at this hotel. Last time, I couldn't sleep because of a very loud malfunctioning air conditioner outdoor unit. However, the staff handled that situation quite proactively. Due to my work location, I had to stay here again, but unfortunately, it was another bad experience.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis accommodation is in a very nice area. There are many cafés and vintage stores within walking distance, and it’s well connected to public transportation. I was able to reach two different metro stations in less than 10 minutes on foot.
I asked the owner for an early check-in, and he gave me a room that was already ready. Upon arrival, a lady at the hostel welcomes you, and you need to add the owner on WeChat to complete the check-in process.
My room had a small private balcony and was very spacious and clean. The neighborhood is quiet at night, and all the windows have blackout curtains. I would recommend staying here.

Good
GGuest UserI accidentally booked the wrong room size, so I paid a bit extra to upgrade to a larger queen room with a window.
**Location:** Situated right in the bustling commercial heart of Shanghai.
**Cleanliness:** The housekeeping staff did a thorough and clean job.
**Value for Money:** For such a prime, busy area, the value is excellent.
**Wi-Fi:** Comes with the room, very convenient.
**Room Size:** Not huge, but fully functional with everything you need.
**Soundproofing:** Pretty good. The front desk attendant was very thoughtful and gave me a quieter, inner-facing room.
**Room Facilities:** The quality is a bit basic, but the amenities are complete.
**Bed:** Fantastic, I slept soundly until morning.
**Service:** Absolutely excellent. Everyone greeted me with a smile when I entered and exited, very polite. ☺️
GGuest UserBeing single and living outside, I can make do with food and accommodation, but it is unacceptable if the basic hygiene of the accommodation cannot be guaranteed. The toilet smells musty, the slippers in the room are extremely dirty and broken, the air conditioner is extremely dirty and musty, the TV is so dusty that the remote control cannot be touched by hand. I will definitely not patronize this store again
じじoveyang&chenFacilities: Fully equipped, toiletries are all provided.
Hygiene: The restroom floor is clean and free of water stains.
Environment: Convenient transportation nearby, taxis are easy to get around.
Service: The receptionist is very helpful, polite and attentive.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to travel to Shanghai alone. The front desk lady was very gentle when I entered the room on the night of check-in. She even said that she upgraded my room. As we all know, the prices in Shanghai are high. That small place carries my dream of finding my idol. Thank you for the enthusiasm of the front desk lady. Although the room is small, it is clean and tidy, full of Shanghai style. If someone has booked this room type, I hope you can understand. After all, the room is this price. It is really impossible to have a cheap and large room in Shanghai. Shanghai, hope to see you next time.

MM519169****This stay was absolutely amazing! The hotel's location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was beautifully decorated and cozy, with soft, skin-friendly bedding. The cleanliness was impeccable; even the corners were spotless. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming; the front desk patiently answered all our questions and even kindly recommended local restaurants. Room service was very prompt. The breakfast had a wide variety, with both Chinese and Western options that suited our tastes perfectly. Overall, it offers incredible value for money, suitable for both business trips and tourism. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!
