A great escape from city life. Very relaxing environment with green and country side feel. Lunch and dinner is very delicious. A stroll to the tulou is not far away and you can enjoy the scenery throughout. Since this area is in a tulou scenic area, you will need to apply for a pass RMB 90 to get through security. Advisable to call the minsu and ask them for application procedure especially for foreigners. Age above 65 is free to enter . The only cons is that the mattress is too thin. Overall it is a very wonderful stay . Love this place..

Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

This small hotel is located at the edge of the old town and within and is within easy walking distance of everywhere except the high-speed railway station. Lots and lots of shops and places selling all manner of food literally at the doorstep of the hotel. Shortly after checking in they thoughtfully sent me one document introducing some of the local delicacies and another one introducing the major attractions of the area, including the delightful mountain village of Dingwu Ling, that wasn't on my itinerary, but turned out to be the highlight of the entire trip. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout my short stay here.

The landlady is very friendly and she took good care of my elderly parents. She also sent us back and forth from the bnb to the tourist attraction place, from the evening we arrived till the next morning right before we went to our nx stop. She brought us to the world's smallest tulou and saw a tulou with 三公六院. We were treated with a hearty and typical Chinese style of breakfast.

I came here alone and was so captivated by the charm of this place that I stayed for two days. A neighbor who was like an older sister to me here took me to the observatory. Everyone helped me and they were so kind. I was very lucky to be able to stay at the Chengqi Tower. I want to express my respect for the greatness of the Hakka people. I am leaving after receiving such a valuable experience and emotion. I hope everyone here will be blessed with good luck. *Boss. It would be nice to have a wall mirror in front of the table in the guest room. And it would be better if the towels were a little bigger.🤭

Relaxing trip, what a pleasure to experience staying in one of the oldest tulou ever built. Good food, all cooked last minute. All from the garden. The family running the Yuqinglou were very accomodating and helpful. The prices are local. Try their teas specially the Hongmei black tea.

When visiting Yongding Tulou, Baifu Leisure Villa is a must-visit. What a treasure B&B. It is about ten meters away from Zhencheng Building. The key is that you don’t have to walk nearly 2 kilometers from the entrance of the scenic area to reach the scenic spot. Too tired. This time I brought my grandson here, and his house was my first choice. As soon as you enter the house you feel like home. The boss's wife drove to the back door to pick us up. The boss warmly invited us for tea. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate more than 20 cars and is fully equipped. Hygienic and clean. The bedding is comfortable, the boss lady cooks well, and the price-performance ratio is high. After dinner, take a short walk to see the Tulou light show and performance. Extremely convenient. The children were having so much fun that they didn't want to leave. Baifu Leisure Villa is highly recommended for visiting Yongding Tulou.
