I'm not a shill, not a shill, not a shill! I saw a triple room available at Mubei Guesthouse late at night while browsing online, so I booked it. I added the owner on WeChat to ask about carpooling. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic, explaining the itinerary to me. Upon arrival, he took us on the North-South route of Beiji Village (provided the owner was home and not busy). The owner's mother runs the guesthouse, which is exceptionally clean. You can see the sheets she washes and hangs to dry in the rooms every day. It's also incredibly warm inside, warm enough to sleep without a blanket. There's a large courtyard in the back where you can splash water and have fun in the morning! The next day, we shared a car with the owner to Baihualin Longjiang First Bend. They weren't rushing us at all and let us take lots of photos and enjoy the trip. Oh, and there's a very friendly little dog that lets you pet it—super well-behaved. In short, I was very lucky to stay at Mubei Guesthouse; the owner and his aunt are truly wonderful and genuine people. I'll definitely stay at Mubei again next time. Happy New Year and best wishes to the owner and his family for a prosperous business!!! #Hygiene

I only saw the aurora because I booked this hotel! When I looked up from the bridge leading to the hotel, everything around me was a bit bright. At first, I thought it was light pollution, but then I noticed several taxi drivers getting out to film it. It wasn't until many locals came over to look and take pictures that we realized it was the aurora. If I had stayed at a different hotel, I probably wouldn't have seen it.
The room was large, and the bathroom was nice. The wooden decorations looked a bit old-fashioned in photos, but they weren't at all. There was also a cat and a dog. The owner didn't actively solicit good reviews; this is entirely a subjective assessment.

First of all, there's no forced spending, it's a pure, no-nonsense experience, which makes me feel especially at ease. You can leisurely stroll through Pingyao Ancient City; the old streets and houses are incredibly charming and photogenic. There's no rush at all, making this tour perfect for families with elderly members and children. The only downside is that you'll need to rent an audio guide near the scenic area if you want a commentary, but overall, it's quite cost-effective. Highly recommended! (*^∀^)

Heating: Very strong and warm.
Hygiene: Very clean; toiletries are all disposable.
Service: The auntie was incredibly kind. We were watching TV and didn't even know the aurora was on. She came over and offered to find us a ride. She even made us breakfast this morning, which we missed because we were rushing to catch our train. She gave us two eggs instead. She was so kind; she made us feel like we had a friend from afar.
Environment: I forgot to take pictures, but it was quite clean and looked the same as the pictures.

The owner was very kind; he picked us up from the bus station and drove us to buy tickets when we left. The room was really clean, and knowing we were sensitive to the cold, he arranged the warmest room for us. It had underfloor heating, and the toilet was heated and fully automatic. We heard there was an aurora borealis, and the owner said he would definitely let us know if it happened and would take us there, so we wouldn't have to wait there freezing. He was very considerate throughout the trip, even telling us where to go and recommending restaurants. Most importantly, they offer free water-to-ice water-splashing service, and you can do it for as long as you want, right in the hotel's backyard.

I absolutely love this guesthouse! It's clean, comfortable, and they thoughtfully provide disposable toiletries for guests. The decor makes it feel like you're staying in a cabin abroad. The breakfast is delicious too. There's even a little courtyard outside the guesthouse that's perfect for photos, you can even try the 'splashing water into ice' trick there. I'll definitely stay here again next time! 😊

Guest UserI forgot to take pictures of the B&B, so I'll use some photos of the surrounding area instead. When we drove up, the exterior didn't look like much, but as soon as we stepped inside, I absolutely loved it. The facilities are very modern and unlike other B&Bs in the area. It's super clean and well-equipped, and they even provide disposable bath towels and hand towels for guests, which is a fantastic touch. Definitely worth a visit!

This is an absolutely amazing guesthouse! 👍 Even before we got off the train, the owner started calling us frantically, worried we'd get ripped off. We originally booked a double room, but he upgraded us to a family suite. The room was very clean and comfortable. After showing us around, he took us everywhere – feeding reindeer, playing in the snow at his secret spot, and treating us to delicious food. The sweet and sour pork was absolutely fantastic! He even showed us how to make water freeze instantly – all for free, unlike the cheap places outside. Breakfast was included the next morning – the pickled vegetables made by the Russian auntie were incredibly tasty! The owner also helped us avoid many bad restaurants. In short, book this place with us! Highly recommended!

Guest UserI stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and it was like finding a gem! The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the antique charm of the courtyard. Wooden carvings, elegant decorations, and a tranquil environment—a welcome respite from the city's hustle and bustle, a sense of timeless peace and tranquility. We 50- and 60-year-olds love this kind of sophisticated atmosphere. Walking through the courtyard felt like stepping back in time; every corner exuded refinement, perfect for taking amazing photos. The rooms were clean and tidy, fully equipped yet retaining their rustic charm, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Taking a leisurely stroll and enjoying tea here was pure bliss—a delightful surprise on any trip. I highly recommend it to those who appreciate peace and quiet and have a fondness for traditional culture; it's definitely worth a visit!

While scrolling through Xiaohongshu for travel tips, I stumbled upon a photo of this place featuring motorcycle travelers – helmets hanging on the wall, group photos of fellow adventurers – and it instantly resonated with me. Driven by an impulse, I set off, and the moment I walked through the door, I wasn't disappointed. The walls weren't just adorned with photos of motorcycle enthusiasts checking in; there were also postcards and handwritten letters from guests all over the world. These messages conveyed sentiments ranging from the exhilaration of riding thousands of kilometers to the joy of seeing the aurora for the first time. It felt like stepping into a 'spiritual gathering place' for passionate travelers, where even the air hummed with the warmth of dream-chasing.
Settling in, I felt even more at ease. Both the room and public areas were spotlessly clean and tidy. The bedding was neat and odorless, there was no clutter on the tables or floor, and even the smallest details in the corners were meticulously maintained. This cleanliness wasn't a forced orderliness, but rather a comfortable ease that instantly melted away much of my travel fatigue.
What truly touched me was the human warmth here. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and genuine, taking the initiative to chat with us about travel routes in Beiji Village, sharing aurora forecasts, and offering photography tips. The hotel even provided free hot water and ladles, allowing us to experience the fun of 'splashing water into ice.' Everyone else at the hotel was also very friendly. Occasionally, when chatting with other travelers in the common area, the feeling of being strangers vanished instantly.
In the biting cold winds of the far north, 'Motorcycle Enthusiast Home' wasn't just a clean and comfortable place to stay; it fulfilled my passion for motorcycling and allowed me to experience an unexpected warmth.
