Lava House is a little oasis within Puerto Ayora. The room was very clean, with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom. I think the stay would have been better if the amenities, such as trash cans and tissues, were more readily available. I think there are similar-class hotels in the area at cheaper prices, so it's worth considering those options.

Meine Erfahrung war leider gar nicht schön. Von allen Hotels, die ich auf den galapagos Inseln hatte war es nicht nur der teuerste Aufenthalt sondern im Preis Leistungsverhältnis auch der schlechteste. Das einzig gute war der liebevolle Service. Der Rest war nun wirklich für den Preis sehr unpassend. Leider hatte ich noch das Unglück, dass Wasser in mein Zimmer von der oberen Etage gelaufen ist, weil die Gäste über mir scheinbar alles zum überlaufen gebracht haben. Es wurde schnell gelöst, das war super. Jedoch sieht man, dass das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist und das Hotelzimmer roch nach Schimmel und muffig. Sehr schade ! Kann ich für den Preis überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen.

This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The location was great, close to the pier, and there were cafes and restaurants within walking distance, so it wasn't inconvenient at all. The room was spotlessly clean, and although we happened to be there during cleaning time, several staff members were meticulously cleaning it. All the staff were smiling and friendly, and when we tried to check out early in the morning without prior notice, they packed breakfast for us right there and then.
