Hospitality, location, cleanliness and interior design make it an absolute gem in Pingyao. We were offered complimentary pick up and drop off to the train station. We were welcomed with open arms, a lot of smile and a parting gift. The breakfast was great, bed super comfy and the whole hotel looks absolutely stunning. Located next to the Main Street of Pingyao - this is the best the men can get in Pingyao!

First off, the location is fantastic, right inside the ancient town. It's a century-old Jin merchant courtyard. Secondly, the guesthouse owner was incredibly welcoming! Not only did he upgrade my room, but he also gave me complimentary breakfast and fruit. Finally, when I was checking out, I wanted to buy some vinegar to take home, and the owner just gave it to me for free! I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance, and I'll recommend it to all my friends!

When choosing a B&B, I prioritize room size and location. ✔️ This B&B is near Xiaonanmen, and it's not a long walk to get there. Plus, they offer pick-up and drop-off service, with a staff member carrying luggage, so you don't have to lift a finger – truly great for those traveling with kids. Even better, they provide pick-up and drop-off from Pingyao High-Speed Rail Station, saving you the hassle of finding a taxi yourself. The B&B is right next to a pedestrian street, which is very convenient. ✔️ The environment is lovely. It's a two-story courtyard house with many flowers and plants in the central patio, creating a natural oasis. There are also common areas with sofas, swing chairs, and a coffee bar, making it enjoyable even if you don't go out. ✔️ Our reserved room was on the second floor, right next to the pedestrian street. The room layout is quite good; although it's an open plan, there's a sheer curtain as a divider, which prevents the bed from facing the bathing area directly. I particularly liked the sofa and tea area near the entrance. ✔️ Breakfast is served individually, with a good variety, and it's quite filling for adults. ✔️ Upon check-in, the front desk provides a map of the ancient town, highlighting key attractions, how to get there, how long it takes, and performance times. They also recommended two popular restaurants and gave us discount coupons. The Pingyao beef was indeed delicious. ✔️ Highly recommended.

The hotel is located just within the old town after the north gate. The hotel is well decorated with a beautiful garden. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff are superb friendly and helpful. In one of the nights in 平遥古城, I had left a shop without my haversack after my meal at the old town. I only recalled about my haversack when I returned to the hotel. Immediately, I reported the incident to the hotel staff. Without hesitation, the hotel staff 小武 brought me back to the said shop with his own bike in a cold weather. Although we managed to locate the shop, however, it had already closed for business and there was no people in the shop. It was nearly midnight at that time . Even though i didn’t manage to recover my haversack (cuz i needed to leave the town to another destination early in that morning), I sincerely appreciate 小武 for helping me to find my haversack. He also suggested to me to lodge a Police report so that my lost item could be recovered by mailing it back to my hometown. It was a good idea but I didn’t do it cuz the belongings in the bag were not valuable and nothing important. Once again , I really want to thank 小武 for his patience and service rendered to me. A pleasant family-run homestay near the northern gate of Pingyao Old Town, in a quieter area away from the main crowds. The hosts are very kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful, offering a warm and personal welcome. The complimentary transfer to and from the train station is very convenient, and small gestures like offering fruits, snacks and local vinegar as farewell gift add a thoughtful touch. The room is spacious, rather clean, and well-equipped, with modern amenities and even some smart home features. The bed is comfortable, although the bedding presentation could be improved slightly (ironed). There are also a couple of minor details—such as the bathtub not being firmly fixed—that could benefit from a bit more attention to ensure the safety. Breakfast is simple and local in style, which many may appreciate for its authenticity, though it is relatively basic. Overall, this homestay offers a comfortable and welcoming stay with a lot of potential. With a little more attention to finishing details and consistency, it could easily become an excellent choice for visitors.

If you want an authentic traditional vibe but still appreciate modern convenience, this hotel is the perfect choice. The staff picked us up and dropped us off by buggy at the main gate, which made everything effortless. The host was incredibly helpful and explained the best way to explore Pingyao Ancient Town. The hotel has a beautiful traditional courtyard style, but the rooms are fully modern—well-sealed windows, a big projector screen, an automated toilet, super clean linens, and a very comfortable mattress. A cold wave hit during our stay, and the host even provided an extra heater to keep us warm, which we really appreciated. We’re so glad we found this place and highly recommend it with confidence.

Overall, my stay was incredibly satisfying! The room was spotless, and the bedding was super comfy, leading to a very peaceful night's sleep. The environment was quiet with no noise disturbances. The front desk staff were really friendly and quick to respond to any issues; they even helped with my luggage [strong emoji]. Breakfast was delicious too. The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and dining, and it's super easy to walk to the old town. The facilities are well-maintained, and it offers fantastic value for money. I highly recommend staying here! I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

Pingyao Ancient City High-Speed Rail Station pickup and drop-off: Very convenient. Hygiene: Very clean. Service: Excellent service attitude, very welcoming. Environment: The overall lobby is beautiful, and the room environment is also great. Special thanks to Xiao Yang and Xiao Ji, who were incredibly warm and thoughtful! 👍👍 The front desk offers free coffee, and the barista's skills are exceptional; the lady who makes the coffee is also lovely.

The courtyard is exceptionally beautiful, with a classic, antique charm. The night view is also lovely. The rooms are clean and hygienic; it's a typical Shanxi merchant courtyard. Hygiene: Clean Service: Good service attitude

Facilities: Well-equipped Cleanliness: Always cleaned and very tidy Ambiance: Absolutely stunning for a historical visit. This is a centuries-old inn, with seven courtyards deep. Being here felt like stepping back into the glorious era when Jin merchants thrived. Service: Excellent. There are two incredibly cute kittens in the courtyard that my son absolutely adored. The owner even provided toys for playing with them. When we weren't out exploring, my son spent his time in the courtyard playing with the cats and had a wonderful time.
