Guest UserThe owner was very thoughtful. They picked us up from the high-speed rail station, helped with our luggage, and even gave us some vinegar when we left. The service was so warm and attentive. My child was tired from walking, and the proprietress offered vinegar and a foot-soaking tub. We stayed in a private courtyard, which was absolutely fantastic!

Jessie QThis was our second time visiting Pingyao, and honestly, the crowds during the holiday season made the experience less enjoyable. Luckily, we picked a fantastic guesthouse this time, which really helped us unwind. It's located in Zhao Juren Alley, offering a peaceful retreat while still being very close to the main South Street. It's also near Yingxun Gate, making it super convenient to catch the ancient city's light show. All in all, the location is excellent. The guesthouse itself is quite new, and the room facilities are all smart, ensuring a good night's sleep. The owners, a family, were incredibly welcoming and even provided pick-up and drop-off services to the station, which is a huge plus considering how difficult it can be to get a taxi from Pingyao High-Speed Rail Station. As we were leaving, the owner even gave us two bottles of vinegar as a gift. The service was truly exceptional. I hope their business prospers, and if we ever get the chance to visit again, we'll definitely stay here!

The inn is a historical building. The two-in-one courtyard is just behind the Majia compound. We are busy taking pictures as soon as we arrive. We live in ”childish”. Although there is no separation of dry and wet, we love it. It is sunny. In the morning, we see the sun and wine. It is very energetic.
The boss is a young guy, the people are very good, because the old-fashioned lock is necessary to go out, others can not enter the house, so they trouble the boss to send supplies in the cabin, go back to get it at night. The homestay originally only had one pick-up or delivery service, and then the boss also picked up and sent it. Also help with the management. Great.
I wish you a prosperous business!

We booked two rooms together. The owner helped us with our luggage at the entrance of the old town. Upon entering, he offered us homemade wine and vinegar to try, which we found quite nice. The rooms were nice, with a rest area on the first floor and a sleeping area on the second. I would definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

We had such a lovely experience at Zhengjia Inn! It was a little hard to find initially but the location is exceptional, right in the heart of the ancient city of Pingyao. There was no one on reception when we arrived but we managed to call through the Trip.com app and they came out right away to help us check in. The hotel is gorgeous with a very traditional style, a lovely sunny courtyard and big rooms. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality of the family who run this hotel. They were so kind and generous! They annotated a map for us to show us where to go and how to get there, they made us a Western style breakfast in the morning and let us eat in their own home, and they very kindly drove us to the train station when we had to leave the next day. They were very friendly, kind and patient with us as we don't speak Mandarin. The bed was quite hard because it is a very thin mattress on top of wood so it might not suit people with bad backs, but it was fine for us! We would highly recommend this hotel!

I have been to Pingyao several times. This time I brought the kids with me. This time I had to stay in an inn on the main street. It was very easy to find. I used to live in a small alley where there were no street lights at night. This inn was too close to the next gate. After parking the car, it only took a few minutes to get there. The owner was also very talkative. He introduced us the itinerary for the ancient city and helped us avoid many pitfalls. The room is well-arranged, very clean and has direct drinking water. There is a travel photography shop above the store, which is also owned by his family. He gave a great discount. I will stay at his house next time. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

I was very fortunate to choose Glory Homestay for my trip to Pingyao. Although it's outside the ancient city, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, just a 5-6 minute walk to the entrance, avoiding the hassle of traffic control within the ancient city. The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was so soft I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The owner is a 20-year veteran who was incredibly welcoming. He not only helped plan the route but also recommended many local favorites. The prices were very reasonable, only a few dozen yuan – truly excellent value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here!

The host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather.
It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.

We chose the most basic room, and honestly, the price is unbeatable. However, we found the bed to be very hard and there were no towels for the shower, only for the sink. But we assume that for the cheap price we paid, you can't ask for more. We believe that we probably wouldn't have had this problem in the superior rooms. The staff was pleasant and the hotel's location is good.
