GGuest UserThis guesthouse is super easy to find, right on the main Chenghuang Temple Street, making it convenient to get anywhere. The place is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and a cozy, comfortable setup. The king bed plus a 1.5-meter sofa bed is perfect for families traveling with kids. The host is warm and attentive, always quick to respond, offering free shuttle service to and from the parking lot, giving travel tips, and patiently answering all our questions. The bedding was comfortable, and our stay exceeded expectations. Even though breakfast isn't included, there are plenty of great dining options nearby. Overall, it's quiet and not noisy at all. I'd definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserI came to Shanxi following the Black Myth route, and this homestay really amazed me! The night view inside Boya Residence is so photogenic that every shot feels like a blockbuster movie! It is one kind of scenery during the day, and it is another kind of scenery when you come back from the busiest main street and enter the courtyard at night. It is really beautiful, absolutely stunning. I took a lot of great photos in the courtyard, and I didn't have to retouch them. The courtyard was really comfortable and quiet. It was really leisurely to have a cup of tea in the courtyard and enjoy this moment of tranquility. Every detail in the room of this store is really pleasing. The beautiful boss will stand from the perspective of the guests to prepare everything in the room. This trip to Pingyao Ancient City is really worth it. When you come to Pingyao, you must stay in the courtyard of the beautiful sister's house, which is also an ancient courtyard with a history of the Qing Dynasty.

GGuest UserMy mother and two aunts came to Shanxi for a trip before the May Day holiday, and their first stop was Pingyao Ancient City. When I started looking for a hotel for them, I immediately noticed Qianxiqing, which is very close to the North Gate of the ancient city. Its antique decor perfectly matches the characteristics of the ancient city. After browsing further, I found that the hotel facilities were very new and high-end, and they also offered services like station pick-up, so I decisively made a reservation.
On the day of their arrival, I communicated with the owner in advance. The owner was kind, amiable, and meticulously provided me with an introduction, and understood the details needed for the pick-up. For the pick-up, the owner personally used a Mercedes-Benz van, which was quite a high-class touch! Upon arrival at the hotel, he patiently and thoroughly explained the hotel's features and provided information about some attractions in Pingyao Ancient City. He even contacted me after my mother and aunts went into the ancient city to inform them about some things to pay attention to while exploring. He was truly thoughtful. The next day when they checked out, the owner personally drove them to the North Gate.
Even though it was a short stay of less than a day, it truly demonstrated the highly professional standards and warm, attentive service of this hotel, the owner, and their team. It made me feel incredibly reassured. The next time I bring my family to visit the ancient city, I will definitely choose this hotel again!

SSteveCHouLoved it!! Although we were only here 2 nights, this was one of our 2 favorite stays of our 2 weeks in China. We’re loved it here. This hotel was just what I was hoping for. Traditional courtyard hotel. It’s beautiful! We felt like we were in a movie. It was so relaxing. Both mornings I just relaxed on the swing in the courtyard and enjoyed the peace and the environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Helen was very nice and helped us with any questions we had. The room was clean and beautiful. I will say you need to be prepared for a very firm bed - but that’s the style and party of the experience, This was one of our favorite parts of our trip. If we’re fortunate enough to have the chance to come back, I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time.

The surrounding transportation is convenient, and the nearby food supermarket is all available. This hotel, 'Seven Ins and Seven Outs Jinshang Mansion,' is right on West Street, making it super convenient to get around. The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are well-equipped. They even have a travel photographer in the lobby! I bought my 'See Pingyao Again' show tickets at the front desk for a group discount price. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to and from the show, with the pickup/drop-off point at Xixi Gate – make sure you don't go to the wrong spot! Highly recommend it!

AAnonymous UserWe ended our five-day trip to Shanxi and were very satisfied with Shanxi, especially this B&B in Pingyao Ancient City. After booking the room, we contacted the inn and reserved a parking space for us. We got off the expressway and arrived at the parking lot smoothly, and someone came over. They were very considerate in picking up my luggage. The location of the inn is very good, just at the intersection of the pedestrian street. It is not noisy at night and is very convenient for traveling. This is the most recommended one. The inn is a typical Shanxi courtyard house, just like living in a TV series. The courtyard is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the service is excellent. I recommend everyone to stay here.
