"The B&B is close to the North Gate, so it was pretty easy to find. The owner even picked me up from Pingyao Ancient City Station late at night, which I really appreciated – it made my travel experience so much better. They carefully explained the locations of attractions and gave me a map. When I left, they even gave me some vinegar as a gift; they're incredibly warm and welcoming. Seriously, if you're coming to Pingyao, you should definitely stay here, haha! It's safe, clean, and the facilities are all there. For longer stays, they even proactively clean your room. The decor has a local flair too – who wouldn't want to try sleeping on a traditional heated 'kang' bed without any fuss? Thanks for everything, I'll definitely stay here again next time. Loved it, loved it!"

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The hotel is constituted with two glorious classical residences from Ming/Qing Dynasties, with rich and gorgeous original architectural details to wow any visitor. The front desk manager, Ms. Ah Fen was very kind and helpful. My host and contact, Miss Juan Er, was brilliant at all front, and also an extremely impressive tour guide on the history and trivials of the houses and their original occupiants. Wonderful experience!"

GGuest UserI've traveled to many places, and this stay was truly wonderful, exceeding my expectations. Even before we arrived, the owner's thoughtfulness impressed me. They added me on WeChat to communicate in advance, and when they learned we had an elderly person with mobility issues, they arranged a wheelchair for us, saving us a lot of trouble. I'm so grateful! 🙏 The room hygiene was impeccable; every nook and cranny was spotless. I'll let you in on a secret: the owner is a Virgo, haha! This is a guesthouse with warmth and a personal touch. Go for it, everyone!

From travel and transportation to travel guides, he patiently answered questions and gave detailed introductions. The inn has an independent small courtyard. We live in a kang bed. The room is not big, but it is clean and tidy. The only shortcoming is that the water storage capacity of my water heater is too small😅Go to the ancient city for a walk. The boss also emphasized not to shop in Jingcheng. CCristinaA very beautiful hotel that takes you back in time. The hotel is a work of art and has also a very relaxing outdoor traditional garden. We opted for the traditional beds and we had a great time. Service was spotless and very attentive. The hotel is located right by the main streets and you can walk to the attractions easily. GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, specially the patios. The location is just 10 minutas walking from the North Gate of the wall. In reception they do not speak English, but they were very helpful with the translator. However, if you really need to rest, this hotel is not made for you. At 7am there were already families and kids shouting and playing in the patio. Even with taps, it was too noisy to keep sleeping. The hotel is also offering folkloric dressing and photos shoots, so you might find people take pictures in front of your room anytime, also at night with flashes

KK Hoffman (Canada)Fantastic ancient Chinese lodging with modern amenities. You get the chance to sleep on a Luohan bed. The room is a suite! Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked. They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left. P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

GGuest UserI was on a temporary business trip and took a boat trip to visit the ancient city. Because I was short of time, I couldn't stay overnight, but it was too sunny during the day. After discussing with the boss for a long time, I agreed to stay for a few hours. Haha, I was forced to be given an hourly room. I feel that this small courtyard is quite nice. The only shortcoming is that it would be better if there were more green plants. I sat and drank tea with the boss and chatted until it cooled down before going out. This inn is very convenient from the main street light show and everything. The boss also avoided a lot of pitfalls. It has good reviews.
