"This summer, I traveled to Shanxi with my parents and children, and of course, we couldn't miss Pingyao Ancient City, a place teeming with rich cultural heritage. After extensively searching and comparing many places online, I discovered Aishang Lvke Inn had fantastic reviews and was very reasonably priced. What truly convinced me was that so many people raved about the steamed buns made by the lady there – we simply had to try them! So, I booked two rooms. Its central location within the ancient city made it incredibly convenient for visiting all the attractions. The owner was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. He personally picked us up from the station and eagerly shared his recommendations for the best food and fun activities in the ancient city. When it was time to leave, the owner was busy picking up other guests, so his father kindly drove us to the station. He was such a humorous and witty gentleman; I only wish we had more time to chat with him! We'll absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Pingyao. Highly recommend Aishang Lvke Inn!"

"This guesthouse has a great location, just a few minutes' walk to the center of the ancient city, and it's also very convenient to leave the city via the Xiaonan Gate. The owner is incredibly warm-hearted and service-oriented, providing excellent pick-up and drop-off services and responding quickly to WeChat messages. They clearly marked the ancient city's attractions on a map for us and gave a brief introduction. The hygiene was very satisfactory; although it's an old house, it was meticulously organized and very tidy and comfortable inside, with all amenities provided, including air conditioning and an electric blanket. The best part was the big bed – the room was spacious enough! It was just the right firmness, so comfortable. Thanks to the owner for their warm service. They even upgraded us to a larger 'kang' room for free – many thanks! If you come to Pingyao Ancient City, you absolutely must experience staying in a historic old house, and I highly recommend this guesthouse, a truly historic residence."

"I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming courtyard hotel in Pingyao, a perfect 10/10 experience. Although it’s a small property with only about 6–8 rooms, everything about it feels thoughtfully done and beautifully presented. The hotel is newly renovated, with tasteful decorations that blend traditional character with a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the owner. He is incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful, his service goes far beyond expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt well taken care of, and his sincerity really made the stay special. Location is superb! The room was spotless,  one of the cleanest I’ve experienced. I actually walked around and looked at a few other motels in Pingyao, and I can confidently say this one stands out as the best in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall quality. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s rare to find a place that offers such great value together with such heartfelt hospitality. Highly, highly recommended ,  I would definitely stay here again."

"My Pingyao trip was made perfect by staying at Qigong Mansion. This century-old courtyard, hidden in the heart of the ancient city, has a story etched into every brick and tile. Staying here felt like a journey back in time. What touched me even more was the owner's attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay; he even personally drove us to the station, which was truly a rare kindness. Pingyao has the scenery, and Qigong Mansion has the heart. Next time I'm in Pingyao, I'll definitely come back here. "At first, I went to Pingyao for the past 30 minutes of the high-speed rail distance to Taiyuan and the ”one city and two temples”. The result was a wonderful experience that made people reluctant to leave! I have to say that this homestay, run by two handsome guys, is almost perfect, giving the trip too much extra points: 1. Good location: Chenghuang Temple and Tai Temple are next door, Yingqimen and City Street, just a few minutes walk; 2. Good sleep: Although the alley is the lively main street, the homestay is very quiet, and the sound insulation of double glazing is even more leveraged; 3. Delicious: the surrounding area is delicious, the hotel is out of the alley, the price is transparent and affordable; 4. Good room facilities: sofa, tea table, floor-to-ceiling full-length mirror, mute air conditioning inside and outside, large-screen TV, smart toilet, sound control equipment, the most amazing is the pillow, actually is Atour's home, which brings the best three nights sleep in this trip! ! ! Special thanks to the owner for the yellow essence balsamic vinegar, fragrant! Thank you for your arrival, hard work! Shun Zhu: Customers like clouds! Business is booming!"

"Awesome! 👍🏻 We arrived late by high-speed train, and the owner drove directly to the station to pick us up. All the restaurants in the ancient city were closed, so the owner lent us his electric tricycle to go eat outside the city. Riding that little vehicle through the ancient city at night was truly a special experience, haha. As for the room, it had everything we needed, and the underfloor heating kept it very warm. The large kang bed was quite unique, and even the mouthwash cups were disposable. Since it was the off-season, the owner even upgraded our room. Although the wallpaper was a bit peeling, it didn't affect our stay at all. Moreover, right outside the inn is the owner's own travel photography studio. I'm so glad I didn't book one of those trendy shops recommended online in advance. The photo shoot here was absolutely fantastic 💖. The makeup artist was very gentle and recommended suitable hairstyles and makeup based on my face shape. I loved the photos, and there was absolutely no pressure during the selection process – completely voluntary. A perfect ancient city experience, I'll definitely recommend it to my friends!"
