"Great resort. I really liked the location, just outside of Ao Nang, surrounded by quiet nature. It genuinely feels like a little oasis away from everything. The pool was a big highlight for me. No loud music, no alcohol, just a calm and relaxed atmosphere without drunk or noisy crowds. It made it easy to actually enjoy the surroundings. The property itself is beautiful, with a pond in the middle and lots of greenery and flowers everywhere. Everything feels well maintained and peaceful. It’s also very convenient, about a 5 minute ride or a 30 minute walk to the main pier. The free shuttle is super handy, and Grab or Bolt work fine too. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and scenic place to stay near Ao Nang."

"Hello! We were in Krabi for a layover and chose this hotel based on reviews. From the first impression to the last, the hotel was excellent! The reception staff were friendly, and there was a pile of free candies right there. The grounds were clean and quiet, and breakfast was available. The service was also top-notch, and the rooms were good, with everything you need! There's an airport shuttle to/from the airport at a fixed price, tailored to your flight. I also found the location to be convenient!"

"I came here for the sunset, and the service was good. However, I want to warn you that the hotel is quite old. Don't book a direct pool access room. The main building is primarily for Caucasians, while Chinese guests are often placed in a separate wing, and our room was very shady (you know what I mean). I didn't dare to sleep all night. If you do come, book a beachside or garden view bungalow. Those rooms get more sunlight and are more comfortable. Also, I recommend trying the hotel's beachside restaurant, but definitely skip the beachside massage! The therapist was incredibly forceful, and their hands were so rough it was painful. Super uncomfortable!"

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. If it weren't for our tight travel schedule, we would have happily extended our stay for another four nights! Everything was just as we like it – a secluded location, surrounded by jungle, right by the sea. Yet, it's only a 15-20 minute walk along a lit path by the sea to the lively Railay area with its cafes and shops. It's about 30-45 minutes to Princess Diana's Cave and the filming location for Jurassic Park. The hotel itself is top-notch – friendly staff, rooms with panoramic windows on all sides (you could watch spectacled langurs, listen to birds, or paint!), and a balcony with chairs and a table right in the jungle. Breakfasts were varied, and the coffee was delicious. During high tide, you can swim at one of the two beaches; during our stay, the water was a bit murky, so snorkeling was pointless. During low tide, the pool is a real highlight – well-located, with a Jacuzzi, and the water is a pleasant temperature. The only downside was the constant hum of boats passing by, but we got used to it and stopped noticing after a day."

"The hotel area is beautiful, with garden bungalows offering mountain views. The grounds are quite clean. However: breakfast at the hotel is very, very meager. We specifically booked a room with a panoramic bathtub, but the glass in the tub was very dirty, so we couldn't enjoy the view at all. The water pressure in the bathtub was also very low, making it impossible to shower or fill it up. I believe the suites and junior suites are not worth the money."

"I traveled here independently and the hotel provided excellent information about the boat transfers. The only downside was the late check-in; I arrived late and still had to wait for my room. However, the front desk staff were very friendly and polite. The ocean was incredibly hot, but the atmosphere was beautiful. Just be prepared that the air conditioning is old and takes a while to cool down the room if you're trying to escape the heat. The breakfast was delicious. Overall, it's a great place to relax because of the peaceful atmosphere."

"Booked the cheapest room, but got a free upgrade upon arrival. Also they allowed me to check-in earlier, which was very nice. The house I stayed in was very clean, no bugs at all. Some things to keep in mind: - the resort is quite big, so if you end up staying in farther houses, you’ll need to walk to the restaurant and Viking beach for around 5 minutes. The pathways are kinda steep, so it can be inconvenient for elderly and kids or at night; - the walk from the pier to the resort takes around 25 minutes. The views along the way are spectacular. The pathway is manageable even if you wear flip-flops, but I don’t think you should try it if your group has an elder or a kid. I’ll attach some photos of the path for reference; - there’s a lot of cats! Sadly I didn’t have any cat food with me. So if you have a chance, bring cat food! 😁 - you can actually walk to the Long Beach, it will take 5 minutes or so. But the path is not for a weak… You need to hold ropes to climb or to get down. The last photo is the part of that path."

"We arrived to our room being sweltering hot. In fact it was cooler outside than it was inside. I understand that with current fuel prices being so high, that they aren’t going to leave the air con all day anticipating our arrival. They offered us a pass to put into the slot so the air con wouldn’t turn off if we left the room, but with our room being at the top of the mountain. I did expect for them to bring it to our room rather than making us treck back down and up again. The room wasn’t clean… shower head was black with mould, when pointed out this was rectified. We upgraded to a room with a bath but couldn’t use it as it leaked and flooded the bathroom when using. We notified the hotel, they sent someone to fix it but no compensation was offered despite paying an extra 5,000 baht for this feature and only being able to use it once. Breakfast is like a horror show. I can only describe it as horrendous. My advice is save your money and don’t add breakfast to your room rate. Baked beans were cold, French toast was a thin slice of hoavis stuck to the bottom of the metal warmer. Yoghurt had flies in it - the only thing mildly edible was the egg station. Staff at breakfast was incredibly rude… we asked for some ice and lemon for our water, slices of lemon were thrown down at my husband, again notified reception and nothing was done. This is a Muslim hotel so no alcohol is served at the bar, not a big deal as they allow you to bring in drink from the 7/11 across the road but it’s not really advertised very well. Pool is lovely and the pool bar staff were nice, the rooms are good and shuttle service was ok. We only had a one issue of it taking half an hour to arrive. It is walkable if you’re fit - unfortunately I couldn’t walk up due to illness so had to wait out the 30 minutes. Location is good. Ao Nang beach is about 20/25 minute walk but there are free shuttles (one way) offered by the hotel when they feel like it, but Grab Taxi’s are cheap and easy to get. Ao Nang night market is brilliant and about a 15 minute taxi ride away. Would say it isn’t really worth the money is and more like a 3 star. It could be such a great hotel with improvements. A bit disappointed with it considering it was part of our honeymoon trip and feel we were let down."

"We spent our honeymoon for 5 days at High Tree Resort and would highly recommend this beautiful and peaceful place. We were welcomed with beautiful decorations and a personal handwritten note on the bed. When leaving the hotel, we were given a small treat. Both the ala carte breakfast and dinner was delicious and beautiful presented, with much variety of different food. We had dinner there for 3 nights and really enjoyed the tasteful food and the atmosphere. The pool area was very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very welcoming, smiling and helpful when needed"
