The ancient canal is just a short walk away. Overall, it was a very genuine and pleasant stay."

"The balcony room faces the mountains by Taihu Lake, and the air is filled with the scent of the forest. We had dinner at Jichangxuan both nights we stayed, and the food was delicious. However, many seasonal dishes were unavailable. I'd suggest the chef offers more seasonal options to provide greater variety. The service was prompt and responsive; our requests were generally met quickly. This is my top recommendation for families visiting a local guesthouse, and I personally think it's the best choice for accommodation in Wuxi."

"Haven't been here in a year! Having adjusted my expectations based on previous stays, I actually found this visit quite good. If this were my first time, especially seeing 'luxury hotel' in the name, my expectations would be high and the actual experience might be disappointing. The mini-bar and complimentary water selection have been upgraded, giving it more of a luxury hotel feel. The quality of the steak at breakfast has also improved. The 'Jiangnan Feast' menu included in the package has been revised and is much better than before Chinese New Year, though the spare ribs are still very sweet. The butler team has also changed; the new staff are friendlier, and the service has significantly improved. Both floors have restrooms, but the one on the first floor was out of hand soap. 😳"

"The hotel is super convenient to get to – just turn right after exiting Sanyang Plaza Station (Subway Line 1, Exit 11A) and it’s a short walk away. If you're staying for a longer period, I recommend the executive suite. It's very spacious and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, essential cooking utensils, and a washer/dryer. At night, you can enjoy panoramic views of Wuxi city."

"The hotel is in an excellent location, quiet yet close to the action. The overall environment is beautiful, and a stroll along Nanchang Street from the back exit is very pleasant. It's worth mentioning that the ladies at the front desk, Tina, Seven, and Angelia, along with the bellhop, were all incredibly warm and proactive. Overall, a great experience!"

"Facilities: Too bad. If you want to feel the 90s guesthouse, the hotel was renovated in 1990. If it was renovated in 2007, you should question it. The homepage says it was renovated in 2017. Did they change the toilet in 2017? I checked in on the 16th floor at first. The pungent musty smell could not be removed even by opening the window for ventilation. The room was dimly lit, with only a table lamp! Hygiene: Not clean. There was garbage in the toilet. I didn't dare to sleep with the quilt all night. Service: The service was OK. I changed the room because the room smelled musty. Requested Ctrip to verify the star rating of the facilities. Too bad experience"

The guest relations team proactively assists with any minor issues. The rooms are clean, offer a great view, and the hot water supply is excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. I'll continue to choose InterContinental whenever I have the chance."

"How did Wuxi Xinlizhuang Hotel get a 5-diamond rating on Ctrip? Apart from being close to Wuxi Station, it's at most a 3-diamond hotel overall. There's no service at all. Facilities: It's an renovation of old facilities; the sofa sags when you sit on it. Hygiene: They actually left disposable toothbrushes from previous guests, and didn't provide any new disposable toiletries. The breakfast is outsourced and terrible, with very few options and poor taste. It doesn't match the hotel's price. The experience was bad and I won't be staying here again."

The hotel lobby was very impressive, and the front desk area also had a distinctive style. The staff at the front desk were very polite and even upgraded me to a family room. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom featured a smart toilet. Opening the curtains, I could enjoy the outside view, even spotting Grand Orient and Suning Plaza. It was absolutely fantastic!"
