3-Star Hotels in Centre-Val de Loire, France

It’s a cute little cottage house about 20minutes away from the Amboise train station. It was a tad far when I had to bring along a big suitcase and handcarry bag. I stayed at the rose room. It was quite comfy and I liked the bathroom with shower and bathtub too. There’s no TV or electric fan but I didn’t need those anyway. Breakfast was simple but lovely. Sound proofing might be a slight issue since it’s an old house, could hear people closing doors, walking up and down the steps which’d make the wooden floor boards creak l. The other negative bit is that there are small flies, bugs, spiders, spiderwebs in the room. Since there are flowers and plants in the little front garden too, I’d assume that it’s unavoidable that there’d be bugs and insects in the house. Unfortunately, I woke up in the middle of my sleep with my eye feeling a little strange: like i couldn’t open my left eye fully and skin around eye felt tight and stretched. When i looked into the mirror there’s a a massive swollen bump of around 1.5 inches wide. I don’t know whether a mosquito or a spider bit me, and I was probably allergic to it too. They did not have any cream, ointment, insect repellent, so it’d probably be a good idea to bring one if you decide to stay here.

Surprise stay Yes, this accommodation really surprised us.  The room and bathroom was larger as expected and spotless clean.  Bed comfortably and we had a good night sleep.  Breaky included….Yes. All selfservice with fresh baguette and croissants  More then we have expected since we normally never order breakfast  The care taker was also very friendly and helpful  Finally got a road side car park spot infront of the door for 5 euro till 9:00am next morning  All in all we would highly recommend this place and the price was reasonable good for what is delivered

I don't understand the 3 stars for this hotel. At best 2 stars would be enough. Very basic room with passable bedding. The bathroom is more than dated. The bottom of the toilet is brown...... The bed lights no longer work so 2 small bedside lamps were quickly installed in their place. Dust everywhere and even a dead moth in the cover of the extra pillow above the wardrobe. Choose the ibis budget hotels which are much more modern with impeccable bedding and cleanliness. I will not stay in this hotel again but if you don't follow my advice, ask for a room on the garden floor. Breakfast is too expensive (11.50) however the staff is very pleasant

The lady at the reception is very kind, very friendly, and listening. Perfect location with tram and bus for a pedestrian traveler like me is a more. The room is nickel, the work is very well done.

This hotel is beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely luxurious and very comfortable. There is a lift to access the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is free car park just behind the hotel, which we found easily. The area feels very safe. You can also pull up outside the hotel on the parking bays, and the hotel will provide you with a free permit for 2 hours so you can unload your baggage and settle in before parking your car in the carpark. The hotel is just a short walk from the beautiful river setting, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It is 4KM away from Chambord Castle and the town is very quiet. Dinner must be booked in advance. The hotel was first built in 1519, so it is understandable that there is no elevator. There will be a certain amount of noise when walking up the wooden stairs. Wearing earplugs when sleeping can solve this problem. Breakfast was pretty good, coffee optional. The seabass on the dinner menu is pretty good. Try to avoid the one in the picture. It's some kind of chicken, maybe mixed with the flavor of ham as an ingredient. It has a very special taste and may not be suitable for everyone.

Large parking lot, nice staff, convenient to travel around the Loire castles. New rooms, but please give a bottle of water and at least a kettle. Breakfast is so-so, only croissants of 3 types of cutting, 3 cheeses, cereals and coffee. There is not even a classic omelette, instead of it a strange egg.

Effortless check in by a receptionist who spoke good english. Informed that restaurant closed for a private function. No problem as loads of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Good sized room with very comfy bed. The breakfsst was outstanding, so much to choose and good quality. Considering that the breakfast was included in the room rate. this hotel is superb value. We will not hesitate to return.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Blois. Following Google Maps, we ended up on a small side street to the right of the hotel, near the garage entrance, but couldn't find the front desk. We called the front desk, and they confirmed it was staffed. We had no choice but to park our car in the nearby open-air public parking lot. After dragging our luggage down the right-hand street and turning left, we finally spotted the hotel's main entrance and front desk. It was genuinely unassuming, marked only by a restaurant sign. The family room was nice, clean, and convenient. The breakfast was also decent, offering standard fare. Walking from the hotel to the town center, we first passed the famous Blois Castle and a public garden. In the evening, the town was relatively quiet, but the small streets by the river were bustling with restaurants. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The price on Ctrip was also very good.
