The location is great, very close to the square and park. Room is a bit compact but has all the things I need. The breakfast is great, with beautiful view. The only thing I can complain is the quilt, which uses a piece of sheet for pretection and it is very easy to move. I think a proper quilt cover is better.
very convenient location, many cafes and shops nearby. We really liked PARCO. The Hiroshima Peace Museum and Peace Memorial Park are a 20-minute walk away. There is a tram stop opposite the hotel, which allows you to get to any part of the city and Hiroshima station is not very far away. The stay was comfortable, we liked everything.
The hotel is in proximity of Hiroshima Station.
With Lawson next to the hotel and laundry room.
The rooms are small, but provide everything that needed inclusive pajamas! We need 2 rooms for family of 4. They gave us 2 connecting rooms. We got bathtub, table+chair, etc
The location of the hotel is ok, within walking distance to the center of Hiroshima.
The price is reasonable, it's clean, and the staff is friendly.
It is close to the light rail station, and you can walk to Hiroshima Bus Center in more than ten minutes. It is very convenient to travel to other surrounding cities.
The location is perfect, just 5 min walk from Hiroshima Station and 1 min walk to local train. It is surrounded by the shops and restaurants. One thing I concerned is the air-conditioning system. The air-conditioning in our rooms (3 rooms) was a heater. I try to change it to air-conditioning mode, but the reception said it is controlled by the hotel. If other guests are using heater mode, we cannot change to cool mode at all. Our only solution is opening the window which is much better because the weather outside was so cool, but we have to be disturbed by the traffic and pedestrians noise as the hotel is located alongside the main road.
The restaurant downstairs is excellent with tasty food and reasonable price. You can grab a good breakfast and then go explore the city. Family mart is nearby just across the road.
This is the convenient one.
The hotel is in a great location (1km) from the train station.
The room is large and spacious. (The downside is that there is no bottled water in the room).
At the reception area, you can admire the torii gate and enjoy ice cream (3pm-5pm). You also have unlimited drinks. For the various onsen, tattoos must be covered with patches.
The hotel provides a shuttle service to the train station. A great stay.
The hotel was located next to Hiroshima Station, which was very convenient. On the opposite street, there is a Lawson and a 7-Eleven, which was really nice.
About the hotel itself, it was clean, well-maintained, and the rooms were spacious enough for two people with two large suitcases. The room had all the amenities we needed.
We absolutely loved two things in this hotel that we didn’t experience in other hotels, or at least not as nicely. First, the pyjamas were amazing! Normally in Japan, you get a bathrobe-style or lab coat-style pyjama, but this hotel provided a really comfortable two-piece set with a long short and T-shirt, which both my partner and I loved. The second thing we really liked was the bench with an integrated table, which was super convenient for having breakfast or meals in the room.
There were two things we didn’t like about this hotel. We stayed for three nights and did not request room cleaning, which you would assume would make things easier for the cleaning staff. We made sure to put all our used towels in a plastic bag every day and also our garbage outside the door so we could get fresh towels. On one occasion, we didn’t receive a pyjama, which was fine, so I went downstairs to the reception to get it. On another occasion, a towel we left on the floor was not replaced, and I didn’t bother going to reception for it.
The second issue was the laundry machine. While the hotel has an excellent system to check availability and timing for each machine on the 10th floor, the machine itself was not very effective. I had less than 1 kg of clothes and used the <1 kg option, which takes 80 minutes to wash and dry, but after 80 minutes, my clothes were still very wet. I then used the 30-minute drying option, but even after that, they were still damp. These were just underwear, socks, and two very thin sweaters, no jeans or thick items, yet the machine struggled to dry them in 110 minutes. In the end, I gave up and took the laundry with me to my next destination.
One small other issue: on the second night, YouTube stopped working, and we were unable to watch TV at all in the room, and this was not fixed, even after turning the TV on and off.
Location: The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Hiroshima Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city.
Facilities: There's even a hot spring on the rooftop, which was incredibly relaxing!
Service: They offer complimentary dinner and breakfast, truly excellent value for money.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean.
Perfect for travelers willing to explore onomichi or to start the biking of the Shimanami. It is located right by side of the ferry to start the biking itinerary. The hotel is offering comfortable rooms, excellent service, and a convenient location. There are a on-site amenities, including meeting rooms, biking racks and a restaurant. They offered us room upgrade to a larger room for free. Highly recommended!
Great room. It was clean and cozy. The staff were polite and friendly. Free coffee from a machine is available at the front desk. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located right next door. The room doesn't have wardrobes or much space for large suitcases, but it's perfectly fine for travelers with smaller luggage. The hotel offers two washing machines and two dryers; however, expect queues in the evenings, so doing laundry in the morning or afternoon is recommended. Overall, I have wonderful memories of my stay.

OOsama BoussifI think it is unfair that this hotel has a low score on Trip.com. The reason I say this is because people were either looking for a “cheap hotel” in Hiroshima and were surprised by how far it is from Hiroshima Station and the city center, or they assumed the hotel was located on Miyajima Island.
Since there are only five reviews on Trip.com as I am writing this, I want to make clear who this hotel is suitable for and who it is not.
This hotel is perfect for people who want to stay as close as possible to the Miyajima ferry and spend just one night before heading to the island the next morning. You can reach the ferry either by walking (around 30 minutes) or by taking the local tram (around a 10–15 minute ride).
This hotel is not a good fit if you want to stay in Hiroshima and explore the city. It is not close to Hiroshima Station, the city center, or any sightseeing spots. The area around the hotel also offers nothing, there were no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so take that into account.
However, if your plan is to stay one night and go to Miyajima Island as early as possible the next morning, and you are traveling with limited luggage (do not bring large suitcases or any heavy luggage), then this hotel is a good choice. We had our main luggage sent to our hotel next to Hiroshima Station and only carried a small 5 kg carry-on with clothes for the next day. The walk from the nearest metro station to the hotel was about 10–15 minutes, and it was not as difficult as some reviews made it sound. Just use Google Maps and you will be fine.
About the hotel itself, because of what we read, we expected nothing, but we were pleasantly surprised. The check-in process, done by machine, was instant and smooth with no issues at all. Sometimes I really wonder what people are doing when I read their experiences.
The room itself was more than fine. You have all the amenities you need, the room was spacious enough for two people with luggage, the bed was big enough for us, the hotel was clean, and overall it felt like a good hotel. I was even surprised that the hotel had a laundry room.

GGuest UserOk, this one is difficult to rate.
The room comes with a magnificient view on the sea. That's what made me chose that place.
But it is remote. So, if you have no car, except walking a good 2km from the train station along a road.
There is nothing to eat there. It is a stop/sleep/leave concept of hotel. Once again, if you have no car... you won't walk back the 2km to find something to eat.
You sleep on the floor. No surprise here and I slept particularly well so, no complains. Just be aware of that.
Toilets, bath, all is shared.
Room are old but all ok and one of the biggest space I got during this trip. Furnitures are also old. You may feel like you are staying at grandma place for a while.
The building, from the 70's probably, is not sound proof. You may enjoy your neighbor sleep. As I did.
I did book for 2. Probably because Trip was not proposing other option or because it was the cheapest one, not sure. The lady at the entrance kept me waiting for 15mn for that reason showing that she was embarrassed to give me the keys for that already paid room. This moment was uncomfortable to say the least.
The remote part, the furnitures style, the oldish atmosphere, the old room door still requiring a key and that squeak a little bit... may not please everyone. It comes with its sweet creepy feeling.
Not an hotel for everyone. But damn, the view in the morning... splendid.
LlkjidmThis was my second stay at a Livemax hotel, and it was excellent once again! This time, I chose the branch located in Funairi-machi.
The location is superb, conveniently close to both Funairi-machi Station (Line 6) and Komachi Station (Line 2). The surrounding area offers plenty of dining options, parks, beautiful river views, and even drugstores.
The service was good, and the facilities were comprehensive. I especially appreciated the large TV, which made for a very comfortable viewing experience.
The only minor drawback was that the duvet had a somewhat strange texture and wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. Aside from that, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. It's truly an unbeatable choice for anyone visiting Hiroshima!
Jjoyee10The room was super spacious, but the self-check-in entrance was a bit hard to find. For those who booked, remember to check your email for the hotel access code. The room was very clean, but because it had a kitchen, there was a noticeable lingering smell of cooked food.

JJan LowHotel is not big. Room is not big but it is fully equipped. Room looks new n is very clean. Housekeeping though is every 4 days but they provide clean towels n trash bag in plastic bag n hang it at room door. All staff from parking staff, front desk n kitchen staff were all very friendly. English is adequately understood. Mechanical lift car park service is provided by hotel at ¥1000 per day. It was quite nervous to manoeuvre the car into the tight spaced garage. 2nd night, car was mechanically park incorrectly. This part was rather troublesome as the hotel had to call the car lift company to fix the error. Other parking areas nearby available too. Free breakfast at lobby is various types of onigiri, miso soup n 1 more soup (french onion/ mushroom). Location is perfect, short walk to so many restaurants, departmental store, supermarket, convenient stores. First time tried this hotel n it’s really good. Will come back/ will try out their hotels in other cities as well.
JJulianneThis hotel is clean and comfortable
however it is lacking some modern facilities. it is quite dated and there was paint falling off in the bathroom and hallways. the beds were very comfortable although there was only one small
pillow. The main issue with the room was the lack
of electrical sockets. there was only
one electrical socket for the whole room which was hidden beside a curtain nowhere near the beds. This was quite inconvenient. the room was very warm and it’s just spring time at the moment (April) and the air conditioning is controlled by reception. We asked and they said to turn it up
to max and it was still roasting so i don’t think i’d reccomend staying here in summer. Location was ok beside some beautiful parks and the river which was lovely for a morning run and it’s not too far from the peace park and the main streets and areas. overall we had a lovely stay but just felt for the price certain things fell short and the hotel needs to be modernised a bit.
GGuest UserThe hosts at this Ryoken are so welcoming, friendly and helpful! They picked us up from the ferry terminal when we arrived and dropped us back there on departure. This was crucial as we would have otherwise struggled with our suitcases up the hills and through the labyrinth of small streets! The location is a little bit away from the central area, but that is what we wanted. It was so peaceful at night, the deer wandered past our the front as we relaxed in the open air footpath. The food was nothing short of excellent. They specialise in seafood dishes so if you have an allergy it would be important to let the hosts know before you arrive. The rooms were simply and elegantly appointed: we had everything we needed. The onsen onsite was fantastic! After a long day of walking we felt very relaxed afterwards.
Thank you so much to the hosts for making our stay on Miyajima unforgettable!
