A short stay for of 2 days was booked with Triip.com for one adult and 2 children under 10, to join us who were booked in a day earlier for three days. Our three day booking was direct with the hotel, half board. The hotel is marked 'adults recommended' and they sure discourage children, by seeking to charge per occupancy rather than simply on a cost per room. The Trip site quite fairly offered the room at the rate for two adults, with children under 12 free, so this is what was paid. Half board was added but at the rate for two adults, which would be greater than the actual hotel rate for one adult and two children, but I was happy to have reserved restaurant secured.
Things got messy at check in, the hotel insisting that the room was occupied by three 'persons' as they put it and should therefore be 50% extra, though the room was the same type as the twin we had for two adults. The Hotel also insisted that only breakfast was provided, and tried to argue that the B2B rate from the third party (Trip) was insufficient. I politely pointed out that the discounts provided to third party agents was no concern of the customer, and referred to my booking voucher which clearly stated I had booked a twin room, into which was going 1 adult, two very small children, and that breakfast and dinner was paid for, with the rate for 1 adult being greater than twice the local charge for a child. They were impossible to deal with, and I left the reception angry and upset. I contacted the Trip representative and by that evening it was sorted. Full marks to Trip, zero to the hotel.
As for our stay, the hotel is excellent, but with room to improve. Dinner in the Buffet only commences at 8.00, resulting in quite the bunfight if the restaurant is busy. It was on that Thursday, a national holiday, and it was impossible to order wine and beverages after we seated, with a single service person taking orders. We ate our food dry, and finally placed an order for wine and water while eating dessert, some 40 minutes after seating. The same bottleneck occurred the next morning at breakfast, with the four snail paced Nespresso machines totally incapable of dealing with the coffee demands. Worse, all 4 machines overheated and went into 'service mode'. Worse again, these obviously unsuitable barista machines were the only source of hot water for Tea or infusions, but with no seperate hot water dispenser faucet. You had to stand for almost 2 minutes while the machine slowly dispensed through the coffee outlet, a single mug of hot water, to the frustration of the queue behind. This needs sorting, it took ages to get a breakfast beverage every morning, and on the second day I had to return 4 floors to my room and fill my cup from the in room Nespresso maker. I'd advise to bring a travel kettle with you.
Otherwise, a fine hotel, but the restaurant problems and discriminatory pricing for children are an issue, so not a hotel for children.
In love with this hotel 🤍
Perfectly located in the heart of the city — everything you need is just a short walk away.
The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and truly welcoming. The rooms are spotless, every detail is so well taken care of, and you can really feel the quality.
What made it even more special for me is the staff — incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile.
A place where comfort, location, and beautiful energy come together ✨
Our trip just ended, and I can confidently say: this was the worst hotel we've ever booked! I had a bit of a cold on check-in day, so I asked the front desk for a higher, quieter floor to rest and recover. Instead, we were given a room with a window overlooking the parking lot, a strange smell in the bathroom, and the head of the bed facing the toilet. I was really surprised, especially since this was a 'deluxe room' we booked well in advance. What was even more frustrating was that the next morning, while washing up, the drainpipe fell off, and the water flooded the floor. I, feeling feverish, went to the front desk to request a room change, only to be told it couldn't happen until a maintenance person assessed it... they completely ignored our suggestion! The pipe was reinstalled but fell off again the very next day. My family told me, 'You're sick, just focus on resting! Don't argue, don't get angry.' So, they found a way to use a trash can to prop up the constantly falling drainpipe. But we still spent a few days lying in a smelly room (with the window open in freezing weather) until my fever broke and we checked out! And this was during Christmas!
Facilities: Poor
Service: Bureaucratic, process-driven, pretentious, and a waste of time.
Sin palabras ,se puede mejorar pero estoy muy contento con todo!
Es la 5 ves que voy ,cada vez me asignaron habitaciones diferentes y sin comentarios !!
De seguro repetiré

A/c is not working so you have to open the window. And outside the noise from the construction is insane!! So you have to choose if you want to sleep or the air to breathe. I stayed in a nice large room on the second floor and had zero sleep because of the noise.
The breakfast for 28€ is quite low quality, really looks bad and tastes like if they are using cheap ingredients.
Overall - very nice location, good property but very disappointing

I was very satisfied with my stay, though it's a pity it was only for one night. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I will definitely choose this hotel again. The service was excellent, and the room was arguably the largest I've stayed in during my visits to Barcelona. It's located on Passeig de Gràcia, making shopping incredibly convenient. As a welcome gift, they offered chocolate cookies and cava – and really, how can you go to Spain and not drink cava? Breakfast was also very good and plentiful; the ham was absolutely delicious!
On behalf of the Korean people, I would like to thank the hotel for its hospitality. The hotel is very grand and the interior is great. The staff is friendly and the food at erre is in very good condition. Taxis are available at all times at the main entrance and the free bar on the first floor of the lobby is great as shown in the photo. Thank you for making my trip to Barcelona enjoyable. I will visit again next time.
La piscine était en réparation mais à part ça l’hôtel est incroyable super beau et le personnel est tout aussi incroyable tout est très propre tout était parfait. Merci ☺️
First off, I'd like to commend Ms. Anna at the front desk for her excellent service during check-in. As a Gold member, she went above and beyond to upgrade me to a sea-view room and was very patient in explaining why the hotel's logo wasn't very prominent.
However, I must point out the biggest issue with the room: the smell of fresh renovation. The moment I opened the door, there was a noticeable paint smell. After spending an afternoon in the room, my throat started feeling a bit uncomfortable. I reported this to the front desk that evening and asked if they had an air purifier. The front desk sent up a simple scent diffuser, and the room service attendant told us it could only be used for an hour before we had to return it. It was quite frustrating, as the renovation smell was still present after an hour. We ended up having to drink water frequently to soothe our throats.
Additionally, since parts of the hotel are currently being renovated, breakfast is served in a temporary area with a rather basic setup, and we had to queue for a table.
On a positive note, the sea view in Barcelona is indeed beautiful, and the design aesthetic of the Ritz, along with the bedding and toiletries, are, as always, top-notch.
It's located on the edge of the city center, within walking distance. The stylish, clean building itself gets me excited. I stayed in a junior suite-like room, which was spacious, had just the right amount of air conditioning, and even had a sauna, separate from the bathtub. The refrigerator (minibar) never got cold. The sauna was incredibly comfortable, and I used it every day of my three-night stay. The toilet required some effort to flush, and sometimes it was too weak and didn't flush properly, which was frustrating. The bath had a jacuzzi, and the amenities smelled lovely, which I was very satisfied with. I used the ones I brought with me, but there were also combs and toiletries in the pouch. There was also a scale. The hair dryer was heavy and old, making it very difficult to use. The hotel is a bit old, but considering the grandeur and elegance of the hotel, it didn't bother me. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. On some days, they even provided welcome drinks and chocolates in the room, which I appreciated. Breakfast was in the basement, a bit dim and gloomy, but the selection was plentiful, and the bread in particular was delicious. There were only three side dishes, and I felt the dessert selection could have been a bit more varied (especially considering the high price of breakfast). The hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful, and I was very grateful for their assistance with personal travel issues. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Very Good
Cute beach get-away, an hour from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Beautiful beaches 1 minute walking distance away and a wonderful rooftop lounge and pool bar. The breakfast is extremely generous. The room was amazing! Super clean and beautiful and bright.
The location is perfect in the Gothic Quarter, you can walk to La Rambla and a lot of shop and restaurants. The room is clean and comfortable. The glass shower is a bit different but that’s personal choice. Very dark in the communal areas. Good breakfast included. They allow us to use the wellness centre for shower and rest after check-off while waiting for our night flight. Excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel.
Special hotel. We stayed here as a couple for Brunch Electronik festival at Parc Del Forum this weekend and the location was perfect. From walking in to reception it smells great and is nice and cool. The rooftop terrace was great and the drinks prices in the hotel were reasonable. We then were given a complementary upgrade when checking in and received a marina view which was great. We didn’t eat in the hotel as we were out for most of the day but I’d highly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Parc del forum.
The Monument Hotel in Barcelona is an exceptional accommodation that seamlessly blends historic architecture with modern amenities. This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and I was once again blown away by the level of hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel's location is perfect, allowing you to easily walk to all the top attractions, restaurants, and wine bars in the city. The concierge, Xavi, is a true gem. He listened intently to our personal preferences and provided fantastic recommendations, including a wonderful nail salon when I was in need of a manicure. Xavi's restaurant and wine bar suggestions were spot on - we enjoyed some of the best local cuisine and wine during our stay, and have saved those recommendations for future visits. The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful historic facade complemented by modern, well-appointed guest rooms and common areas. The amenities are top-notch, ensuring a safe, comfortable and convenient stay. From the luxurious bedding to the high-end toiletries, every aspect of the guest experience is carefully considered. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona, whether it's your first or fifth time in the city. We look forward to returning again soon.
Our stay at Manesric Hotel and Spa Barcelona was truly memorable! Despite a few initial hiccups, Guillermo's exceptional service turned everything around. The historic charm of our clean rooms offered a wonderful retreat. The rooftop bar, with breathtaking views of the Sagrada Família and Passeig de Gràcia, was simply unforgettable. The location is convenient for exploring the city. Highly recommended!
We had a beautiful stay here. The staff is the best about the hotel, we never stayed in a hotel where everyone was so friendly and dedicated to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The absolutely amazing employees here, like the professional and dedicated assistant front office manager, but also all the other receptionists, the amazingly friendly people working in restaurants and bars here - every single person we met was a gem and made us feel 100% welcome.
