👍✨️⛱️Absolutely loved my stay! The room was meticulously cleaned, the bathroom spotless, and the location was fantastic – super convenient for getting around. The room itself was spacious and bright, hygiene was impeccable, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The service was warm, professional, and very responsive. Facilities were comprehensive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This place offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit, it's a must-choose when in Zhangye!

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Shazhou Night Market. The room decor is also very nice. I forgot to take pictures of breakfast, but they had a great selection of cold dishes, hot dishes, fruits, and drinks. There's parking available right in front of the hotel and also an underground garage. In the evening, after visiting Crescent Spring, we took the free shuttle bus that drops you near the hotel, and it was only a 7-8 minute walk back to rest. So convenient! Plus, the room even has a bathtub, perfect for the kids to soak in after a tiring day. From its location to its service, this hotel is simply perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dunhuang!!

This was by far the most welcoming and hospitable hotel we stayed at during our Northwest loop trip. We checked in around 1 PM, and the front desk staff proactively upgraded our room. The new room type was incredibly spacious, with a logical layout and stylish decor, and the tea-drinking area was absolutely charming. The entire guesthouse's common areas were beautiful, with tons of photo opportunities and rich, authentic Northwestern decorative elements. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the water toys in the hotel pool. The guesthouse even provided a complimentary travel photoshoot, and the pictures turned out great! We also got to pick apricots, and seriously, they were the sweetest apricots I've ever tasted, haha. No matter where we went, the enthusiastic staff greeted us and immediately offered assistance, making the experience truly exceptional. After a day of exploring, we returned to the room to relax, and the facilities were top-notch, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. When we checked out the next day, the front desk even gave us a cute camel plushie as a gift. If I come to Dunhuang again, I will definitely choose this guesthouse. Highly recommend!

The Atour Hotel (Dunhuang Shazhou Night Market North Gate) is absolutely the best accommodation in Dunhuang! It's right downstairs to the night market, making it super convenient for food and shopping, and a short taxi ride to all major attractions. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, proactively explaining travel routes and even providing shoe covers. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have excellent soundproofing, with incredibly comfortable bedding. The laundry and shoe drying facilities are a godsend for desert travel, and the breakfast offers a fantastic array of local specialty snacks. It's a rare find – quiet and comfortable despite being in the heart of the bustling city, with impeccable service details and fantastic value for money. If you're coming to Dunhuang, book this place with your eyes closed!

This was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture. The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place. Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake. I came for the beautiful public decor and the desert dune view, and it did not disappoint! The stay was also very comfortable; the cleaning staff did an excellent job, making for a super great experience. It's very close to the Mingsha Mountain parking lot, making access to and from the scenic area very convenient. Getting to Mogao Grottoes in the morning was also quick, only a 20-minute drive! The environment is peaceful, and it happened to be sunny during my two-day stay. This location, free from city lights, offers a crystal-clear view of the stars – perfect for stargazing enthusiasts! It's also not far from the city center, about a 10-20 minute drive if you're self-driving. Breakfast is usually at 8 AM, but they were also able to provide an early packed breakfast for us when we needed to leave early. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

The hotel upgraded us to a junior suite for free, and the room was very spacious with excellent facilities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming; they offered apricot peel tea during check-in and even gave us yogurt and a small camel toy. The lobby cats, due to having kittens, temporarily didn't have their pet room open. However, the calico and a few other cats would wander around. A great feature was the large terrace on the 6th floor. I washed clothes and hung them out there in the evening, and they dried very quickly, no dryer needed at all. The TV in the room was huge, but we were too busy exploring to really watch it. It would have been even better if the bathroom had a soft stool or bathrobes.

Our stay at the Aisting Hotel during our self-driving trip to Dunhuang far exceeded our expectations! First, it's very car-friendly with a large parking lot and dedicated staff to guide you, making coming and going easy. Second, the staff are all incredibly spirited, enthusiastic, and attentive. Third, they pay attention to details, providing a humidifier and plenty of drinking water in the room. Fourth, the facilities are excellent, with smart home features throughout, zero-pressure mattresses, and a self-service laundry room. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dunhuang!

We made a mistake choosing this hotel: the word “international” led us to believe it would be better prepared to receive foreign guests, but that was not our experience. That said, the staff’s service was excellent at all times. Although they did not speak English, they consistently made the effort to use translation tools to communicate with us and assist us in the best possible way, which we truly appreciated. The hotel was almost empty. The first breakfast took place in a huge dining area where we were the only guests, which meant the variety was quite limited. There was some Chinese food and a coffee machine, but there were no options commonly expected by international travelers, such as fruit, cereals, yogurt, or bread. That same day, we were informed that the rest of the breakfasts would be delivered directly to our room. The staff made a continuous effort to ensure we felt comfortable with this arrangement, confirming the delivery time with us each day. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness did not match the hotel’s level and price: the carpet had visible stains, and finding a toothpick at the entrance made it clear that cleaning standards were not adequate. In addition, the amount of shampoo and soap provided was extremely limited—again, not consistent with the quality one would expect given the building and overall appearance of the hotel. In summary, we would like to highlight the kindness and dedication of the staff, but we believe the hotel still has important aspects to improve, especially regarding international standards and cleanliness.

We had a fantastic experience staying here. From the moment we checked in, the staff was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room exceeded our expectations—it was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. A special mention goes to the bathroom: the shower had fantastic water pressure and steady hot water, which made winding down after a long day so refreshing. The location is another major plus. There are numerous excellent dining options right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to grab a great meal without having to travel far. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return!
