The room itself was spacious and bright, hygiene was impeccable, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The service was warm, professional, and very responsive. Facilities were comprehensive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This place offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit, it's a must-choose when in Zhangye!

**Location:** Right by the East Gate of Dunhuang Night Market, super convenient.
**Facilities:** It has a classic, antique-style exterior and furnishings, but the rooms are equipped with modern smart technology. I snapped a few photos of the interior – that little chair is my favorite, so incredibly comfortable.
**Cleanliness:** Spotless, couldn't find a single fault. Plus, they have self-service laundry machines, which was great for refreshing our gear halfway through our Qinghai-Gansu trip. The breakfast is on the ninth floor, and when the weather isn't too hot, you can even dine outdoors, which is a lovely touch.

LLux.EThis was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture.
The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place.
Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake.
Their communication was frequent and always made sure I had what I needed.

FFaliangwangzhegirlThis stay was absolutely delightful! I was initially worried about the location being a bit out of the way, so I only booked one night. To my surprise, getting a taxi on the first night was super easy, so we extended our stay. While there aren't other guesthouses right around ours, we noticed a whole street full of guesthouses nearby, which seemed crowded and noisy. At night, lying in bed, you can hear the wind brushing against the walls, but it's not loud; it actually feels like being in harmony with nature. My husband and I also went gold panning – if you find gold coins, you can exchange them for prizes. We went enthusiastically, expecting a small sandbox like in a park, but it was a massive area!
**Mingsha Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The chilled apricot peel tea was delicious.
**Fengmingsha Desert Restaurant - 30% off coupon for set meals:** After we landed, the butler collected our luggage and told us hotpot was ready, just waiting for us to freshen up and eat. The lamb wasn't ***** at all, and the dipping sauce was really tasty.

AAganguilaiThe Atour Hotel (Dunhuang Shazhou Night Market North Gate) is absolutely the best accommodation in Dunhuang! It's right downstairs to the night market, making it super convenient for food and shopping, and a short taxi ride to all major attractions. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, proactively explaining travel routes and even providing shoe covers. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have excellent soundproofing, with incredibly comfortable bedding. The laundry and shoe drying facilities are a godsend for desert travel, and the breakfast offers a fantastic array of local specialty snacks. It's a rare find – quiet and comfortable despite being in the heart of the bustling city, with impeccable service details and fantastic value for money. If you're coming to Dunhuang, book this place with your eyes closed!

GGuest UserWow, I didn't realize when I booked, but this is actually a pet-friendly hotel! There's a cat petting room in the lobby, and the lobby manager is a friendly tortoiseshell cat named Zhouzhou. There's also another cat named Laifu, who's the 'money cat' at the front desk and also very gentle and friendly. The hotel facilities are quite new, well-designed, and the service is excellent. The location is super close to Dunhuang Bookstore and the Danghe River Scenic Belt, only about 100 meters away. On the first day of my stay, they gave me yogurt. Breakfast was plentiful, and there's also free congee for a late-night snack. The room has a foot-soaking tub, and the toilet comes with disposable seat covers, which is very hygienic.

IIvan KandevWe are impressed with the hotel. Whatever we write, it will still be not enough, because it is a real jewel in every aspect. The room was luxuriously furnished and extremely cozy. Inside there is everything you need for a perfect and comfortable stay and rest. Even the smallest details, both functional and aesthetic, have been considered. There were snacks and water in the room as a compliment from the hotel. On the 5th floor there is a self-service laundry room and dryer available to guests. The cleanliness is perfect. The breakfast is rich and has both European and Asian offerings. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants nearby, and the beautiful central part is also within walking distance. We are grateful to the entire staff for the excellent service and kind attitude. Every single person of the team does his job perfectly well. The only thing we regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy this wonderful place. We wish the entire team health and good luck. Always be so kind and keep this high level service.

GGuest UserI highly recommend this hotel to those who drive to Dunhuang with their kids. It has a bathtub, which the kids love very much. The room facilities are very complete, the environment is very good, and it is not far from the attractions. Every service staff is very enthusiastic, especially the lobby manager. Yogurt is given when you check in, and plush toys are given when you check out. The kids like it very much and said they will stay here again next time. Highly recommended. Very cost-effective.

GGuest UserHad a great experience! 👍 The room was clean and tidy, and there's a food street about a ten-minute walk away. Watching the World Cup and having skewers there at night was a fantastic experience. The security guards at the hotel entrance were very responsible; they'd arrange parking for you as soon as you drove up, so no worries about parking at all. If I had to mention a downside, the breakfast was just okay. The milk dispenser tap in the buffet restaurant was broken, so it took forever to get a glass of milk. 😓

GGuest UserThis was my first stay at the Holiday Inn Express Zhangye. Usually, when I'm in Zhangye for business, I just pick any hotel, but this time I chose it because a friend told me how beautiful Ganzhou Fucheng is and that there are lots of great food options to explore. So, I picked the Holiday Inn Express that's really close to Ganzhou Fucheng. As soon as I walked into the lobby, the staff greeted me warmly and quickly helped me check in, even upgrading me to a room with a view of Ganzhou Fucheng. The room was incredibly spacious and quiet. From my room, I could see the entire Zhangye Wetland Park and the Ganzhou Fucheng night market. After work, I went to the Ganzhou Fucheng night market, browsed around, and even had some delicious Fried Bola. The hotel room was clean and tidy, the staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. They even offered me a complimentary late check-out. This stay was absolutely perfect, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!
