The room was spacious with a separate shower and toilet. Although it's not far from Qilou Old Street, it was a bit inconvenient due to the occasional rain and traveling with a child. Haikou People's Park is right downstairs. After finishing 'laoba cha' (a local tea), we went into the park to stroll around and were surprised to see so many locals exercising and relaxing there; it was really lively.

This hotel is one of the few with hot springs in the city center. It's an older property, which is why it has the hot springs, so some facilities are a bit dated, but it's very well-managed. The air conditioning was on in the room constantly, so there was no musty smell. The bedding was good and clean. The mattress was comfortable, just the right firmness. I have to commend the front desk staff during check-in. They lent me an umbrella even before I had completed my booking, which really touched me with their trust. During check-out, a young lady told me to buy my airport shuttle ticket from a machine (later, an older staff member saw my booking and gave me a shuttle ticket). It seems their training could be improved in this area.

The exceptional service provided by the hotel manager and staff made all the difference. They attended to my VIP requests with remarkable care and attention to detail, ensuring that my needs were met with utmost precision. The hotel manager went above and beyond with personalized off-property recommendations, guiding me to the best local gems—from a vibrant jazz bar to a charming walking street and an exquisite French restaurant. Every recommendation was a real treat, showcasing true VVIP bespoke butler-style service that made my trip even more special. I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Moreover, during my stay, I was fortunate enough to participate in special edition events that showcased the island's vibrant culture and creativity. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration, making my visit even more memorable. As a film studio executive, I can say with certainty that MOS Hotel Haikou exceeded all my expectations and more. I stayed at Novotel Haikou West Coast for 6d5n. There are a few ways to travel from Haikou Meilan Airport to the hotel. The most convenient option is definitely taking Didi. The ride usually takes around 40–50 minutes depending on traffic, and the total fare is approximately RMB 70+. Another option is taking the railway. You would first need to buy a railway ticket to Haikou Railway Station, which costs around RMB 10 and wait for the departure time. After arriving at Haikou Railway Station, you will have to take Didi to the hotel for around RMB 15. There are also buses available, although I did not personally try this option during my trip. The hotel provides free laundry facilities including washing machines, dryers, detergent, and even disinfectant for laundry use. Everything worked properly and the dryer actually dried the clothes well, which was very convenient for travellers. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pillow and bed were cozy, the air-conditioning worked very well, and the room felt warm and relaxing. Daily housekeeping replenished 2 bottles of mineral water and 3 complimentary beverages (sparkling water, Coke, and milk), which was a nice touch. The staff were also accommodating. They allowed me to extend my checkout by 2 hours, which normal check out timing is at 12pm. (additional late checkout charges at rmb40/hr). I am staying at level 4 (total there are 5 levels). I was lucky enough to get a room on the same floor as the gym and laundry area, which made everything very convenient. In terms of location, I think it depends on the purpose of your stay. If your main plan is visiting attractions in the city area every day, this may not be the most convenient option as travelling usually takes around 30–40 minutes by car and each trip can cost around RMB 30+ – 40+ depending on traffic. However, if you are looking for a relaxing hotel stay near the west coast area, this hotel is actually a very good choice. One thing to note is that there are not many eateries nearby. The nearest convenient shopping mall area is called Yuanda (well known one), where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, and snacks. You can take didi there at Rmb 5 to 10 or you can walk there also, but I dont suggest. The only downside for me was that I occasionally noticed cigarette smoke smell in some common areas, and there was a slight dried seafood/damp smell when I return to my room after a day, which may be related to the coastal location but there is a ventilation in the room . Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. *Sorry for the photo quality. I only recorded videos of the room during my stay, so these are screenshots taken from the videos.

This place is super convenient, whether you're driving or taking a taxi. The owner offers pick-up, and it's also easy to get around on foot once you're here. It's located in a villa community with a three-bedroom, two-bathroom setup, plus a kitchen and living room – just like a real home. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for families or a group of friends. If you stay for a few days, you can truly experience living like a local; you can even buy groceries and cook. The price is fair, and they offer one free drop-off daily within a 6km radius, which is super handy as taxis only take 1-3 minutes. Honestly, I found it even more convenient than driving. You can also rent electric scooters for getting around. The pictures were taken when I left, but it was even tidier upon check-in. The 500 deposit was returned promptly after check-out.

Aijing International Hotel in Wenchang 2024/02/06-08 Front desk not really helpful. Just want you to go as it was the whole time ”OK, OK...” and ”I'll take you to your room”... But no help with luggage, nor an answer if the kitchen would have something for me to eat... I sent my list of allergies (gluten, dairy, egg, honey and soy) to the hotel's wechat the evening so that they could give it to the kitchen... First room: The fridge was not cold. Bathroom floor wet and entrance floor dirty 😰 The manager came and was friendly and helpful. He helped me with my luggage to another room 8505, which was larger. Here the fridge was also not really making cold and switched off when going out. They couldn't give an extra card for electricity. In the morning the manager showed me the different food at the buffet that I could eat, but I never received the pork etc, he promised the previous evening, for breakfast nor answered my message when I asked if I should wait for it... For breakfast I could eat the fruit and in a steam basket a piece of corn-on-the-cob, sweet potato, yam and taro. They also had corn flakes. Interesting they had 3 milk options: cow milk, soy milk and coconut milk... The second evening I spent an hour on Wechat with reception to find out if the kitchen could prepare something for me with my allergies - I did give it the previous evening.... Then I went for a walk on the beach... When I came back, they hadn't prepared the fish! The manager gave me a coconut with a straw to drink the juice... So I only wasted my time to find out if they could prepare something - I did give them my list in Chinese of what I cannot eat...😰 Luckily I always have some food with me... The fish tanks are outside the dining room so you can choose your fish fresh.... As in most places in China 😊 Swimming pool was empty. Good comfortable beds. Down duvets. Nice spacious room with little balcony, but balcony has a concrete wall, not glass to see through... From the premises you go directly onto the beach! Very nice quiet environment away from the crowds! After the fireworks at 21:00 the outside lights were switched off and then you only hear the sea... If you do not have transport, it is a bit far, but if you want to go and rest for a few days, away from crowds, then this is a good place 😎🤠🌻🏝️🏖️ Thete are charging facilities for electric cars... @

Right in Tianya Town, step out and you're on the beach 🏖️ Close to Xidao Pier and Tianya Haijiao (Ends of the Earth). I booked the 'Floating Light - 220-degree Seaview Floating Bathtub Room' 🛁 The window faces the ocean, so you can see the crystal clear sea right from bed. Bathing in the balcony tub while watching the sunset is so relaxing, you won't want to move 🌅 The infinity pool is the highlight! It blends seamlessly with the ocean. Go in the morning for some shimmering, super therapeutic photos 📸 The rooftop terrace offers stunning sunset views too, perfect for silhouette shots in a dress. The town is full of snacks and coffee shops. Enjoy a bowl of Qingbuliang every day and unlimited seafood 🦞 Stay 2 nights in a seaview room and get a free pick-up/drop-off (choose one) and afternoon tea ~

The location is good, very convenient for getting to Qilou Old Street, about a ten-minute walk. It's also easy to hail a taxi right outside the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and bright. When I checked in, an intern assisted me, who wasn't very experienced. As a Trip.com member, I was supposed to get a free room upgrade, but the hotel didn't mention it proactively. The first room I was given had a major issue. I called the front desk the first time, but they didn't seem to take it seriously. I waited for a while in the room and had to call a second time before someone was sent to deal with it. Since my friend was waiting downstairs to go out for dinner, I didn't argue much with the hotel. Later, the hotel called and offered to change my room and upgrade the room type. When I returned to the hotel in the afternoon, I saw that the so-called upgraded room type was actually the same as the initial room, just with a complimentary fruit platter… I'm including a picture of the scenery outside the hotel entrance, but won't post the bad ones. However, the hotel really needs to improve its management.

Our moon-gazing flight didn't arrive until after 2 AM, but the hotel proactively offered us a free upgrade to a family room. The family room was huge and super clean, with a large and a small bed, plus a big bathtub. Even though it was late, my little one couldn't resist taking a bath before bed, which really helped us unwind after a long day. The best part was the zoned air conditioning, which was perfect for kids. The warm service from the front desk made us feel right at home! ❤️❤️❤️

We stayed at the Meilun Hotel for a family trip with our kids in Haikou. The location is a huge plus, making it easy to reach Qilou Old Street by simply hopping in a taxi, where we got to experience the charming Nanyang-style architecture. Our room had a pleasant, clean scent, was spacious and clean, and had excellent soundproofing, so our kids slept soundly. The minibar items were complimentary, and the front desk service was good. The hotel also has a laundry room, which was very convenient for washing clothes during our trip. Parking was easy, making getting around stress-free. It's definitely a reliable choice for families traveling to Haikou.
