This is the only hotel in the scenic area, so there are no outsiders. The hotel's front desk is at the main entrance of the Tonghu Grassland Scenic Area, with free parking. There's a 4x4 shuttle service within the area. The Starlight Restaurant is right next to the tent area, making dining convenient. It usually includes a buffet breakfast and a buffet hot pot dinner with good quality ingredients and a wide selection. There's a shuttle service to the bonfire party, which features a high-quality equestrian show, not just simple amateur entertainment. The rooms are tents. Our room type only had a password lock on the tent zipper, but since there are no outsiders in the park, it felt safe. Soundproofing isn't great because it's a warm tent. Each room type has a private bathroom and toilet, also in an attached tent form. Amenities are complete, including Crocs-style slippers and body lotion. The stand-up air conditioner heats and cools quickly, and there's also an oil-filled radiator for heating. It's hot during the day and cold at night, so you need to use both heating and cooling throughout the day. It's dry, so you can hang a wet towel. There are sand toys and sand sleds everywhere outside the room, and sand dunes right outside your tent, so you can play freely. Everything you could need is provided. If you stay for multiple nights, you'll need to drive quite a distance to visit other places during the day. Actually, one night and the next morning are sufficient. There are plenty of daytime activities, making it suitable for families with children. However, adults can use the daytime for excursions.

The hotel is not far from the Jade Emperor Pavilion and the Drum Tower. It has its own backyard for parking, and just around the corner is an elevator, making it very convenient for luggage access. Located in the very center of Zhongwei, a small city, the room wasn't very large, smaller than comparable hotels in Yinchuan, which was a bit surprising. The cleanliness was excellent, and the soundproofing was acceptable for a hotel in this price range. The breakfast quality matched the price, and the late-night congee was a nice touch. Service quality needs to go beyond the surface; it needs to be more detailed. For example, the napkins on the tables seemed thoughtful at first glance—one for each seat—but upon closer inspection, they were reused, and I don't know how many times they'd been used. It was nauseating! Another interesting thing was that, whether it was a requirement from the brand or a preference of the owner, the music in the elevator was an old 60s or 70s song, ”Yesterday Once More.” Is the hotel targeting older people?

First off, a big shout-out to the breakfast! The noodle chef mentioned the lamb offal soup was homemade, and they offer both Chinese and Western options. The room size was decent, not small at all, and it was pretty easy to find. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining choices, and it's within walking distance of Yinchuan Station. As for Huaiyuan Night Market, it's about a 20-minute electric bike ride away.

I was instantly impressed the moment I arrived at the hotel entrance. The lighting effects at night are absolutely stunning, and the starry ceiling above the main entrance is incredibly dreamy. Inside, a lovely lady at the front desk warmly checked me in and even escorted me to my room, which was so thoughtful. She also gave me recommendations for local snacks and sightseeing tips. The room itself was clean and bright, with fantastic mood lighting. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Friends visiting Zhongwei, you absolutely must stay at this hotel – it will truly make your trip worthwhile! 🥰🥰

My stay at Yiyexingkong Tent Hotel far exceeded my expectations. Located near the Shapotou Scenic Area, the hotel thoughtfully provides shuttle service, making travel exceptionally convenient. Receptionist Yu Na was warm and attentive, handling check-in efficiently and meticulously, and patiently answering all my questions. The tents were clean and dry, with complete amenities. The hotel's food was authentic, with fresh ingredients and generous portions; the Northwest specialties were very much to my liking. The surrounding environment was tranquil and comfortable, with stunning desert scenery right outside the tent door. It's suitable for couples or groups, offering attentive service and excellent value. I've already recommended it to friends; it's my top choice for visiting Shapotou, and I'll definitely book again for my next trip.

The hotel's location is convenient, right next to the high-speed train station, and they offer free shuttle service. It's a 15-minute drive to Lanshan Park, the museum, and the science museum, and 30 minutes to the Western Xia Tombs. The family room is spacious, and the kids were thrilled to have their own beds. My only suggestion would be to add a door to the toilet in the bathroom for more privacy.
