4-Star Hotels in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea

We visited during the off peak season so many facilities were closed. We went to the hotel for the specific reason of visiting the swimming pool but it was closed, and on trip.com it wasn’t clear. Because it’s off season, though, the price is quite reasonable. Location wise you must visit by car, it’s only a 5min drive to the nearby tourist spots which is important because only 1 restaurant was open and not too cheap. The on-site convenient store was great though their selection was quite small.

The hotel is very close to Cheongju Airport. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all offering great value for money. The rooms are fully equipped, featuring amenities like a bathtub, microwave, large refrigerator, kitchenette, and even a washing machine. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was comfortable. There's also a 24-hour convenience store right next to the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

My booklet was a bit creased, so when I woke up this morning, I placed it under the stereo to flatten it out. However, I forgot to take it with me when I left. We had already checked out and left our luggage at the front desk before heading out for the day. In the afternoon, I suddenly remembered the booklet under the stereo. I immediately rushed back to the hotel and asked the front desk to help me find it. Their response was, 'The room has already been cleaned, and nothing was found.' Since our luggage and bags were still stored at the front desk, we opened them right there and confirmed that the item was neither in our bags nor on our person. I asked the front desk if a staff member might have accidentally thrown it away, but they firmly insisted that they would never discard any guest's belongings and that anything found by housekeeping would always be brought to the front desk. However, I had genuinely lost a booklet in the room. The front desk repeatedly stated that they follow strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and that mistakes don't happen, essentially implying I was lying. My stay for the previous few days had been wonderful and very comfortable, but the experience on the last day was terrible. I acknowledge my own mistake in leaving the item in the room. If it had been accidentally discarded as trash, I could have accepted that, provided they had simply informed me. However, I cannot accept the front desk accusing a guest of lying, simply because housekeeping reported not finding or discarding anything. This left me feeling deeply upset. Otherwise, I had originally intended to stay here every time I visit, as I really liked the ambiance and convenience of this place.

It was a fun couple meeting ㅎㅎ Had a pleasant weekend in a good atmosphere! It was a beautiful place with a warm and deep atmosphere!

Great and convenient

I saw it in the drama Secret Garden a while back and decided to visit, so I made up my mind and drove five hours to get there. I was curious about the forest-like stone spa described in the reviews, and I was also curious about the villa building. Haha. But the villa building was actually just okay. Haha. The night spa was charming and nice, but unexpectedly, the food was so delicious. I had a course meal at a Korean restaurant, and my husband, who has never complained about it in countless domestic or international hotel restaurants, even asked me to come back for dinner. Haha. The late-night breakfast was the same. I think I'll go back for dinner soon. 😆

We stayed in the 51-pyeong unit with 6 adults and 2 children. It is spacious and comfortable, and the view is good. However, even though cooking might be difficult, it would be nice to have scissors.

Although the facilities are old, it is a family accommodation that is always satisfactory for the price. The facilities need to be renovated. The hot springs are as good as ever.

The way up was rough! The view kills. The famous Cafe Mountain is right next door. Enjoyed Danyang trip!
