4-Star Hotels in Wellington Region, New Zealand

This was our third stay at the Copthorne and have always enjoyed it.  Very comfortable and friendly front of house staff. The big let down is mould and dirt on the floor around the outside of the shower wall.

The family room was a great size. A clean and tidy environment and all the staff are nice and helpful. We also got all you can eat buffet and the chef was great! A great variety of food on offer. The hotel was central for us to be able to explore and also travel out to visit family. Would definitely book here again.

The hotel is located opposite the Blue Bridge wharf, which is very convenient for travelers taking the ferry to the South Island the next day. The room is also very large and clean. However, parking in the city center is very inconvenient.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. Felt safe as a woman traveling alone staying here. Would stay again.

Convenient location near main restaurant areas, like Cuba Street, in Wellington. Easy to get an Uber to the airport if you have an early morning flight. Comfortable rooms which are also clean, although many don’t have windows.

We had a great stay at Ramada by Wyndham Wellington Taranaki Street. The apartment was modern, clean, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and Wellington's main attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it.

The room had multiple areas of built up dust that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the shower had some mould in the corner and lots of soap scum around the bottles. The silicone holes in the shower head were all cracked and so the water dribbled down. I could also smell the drain. The additional windows installed (appreciate the building is historical) didn’t shut tight, which is a big problem in a windy city. The wind was howling through the window gaps when they were fully shut. Assume they were done as cheaply as possible. I was also a few doors down from the staff room, so I heard very frequent door slamming in the mornings which woke me up as it shook my door frame. There’s no way I’d be paying for full price for this hotel, but for a 50% off deal it was fine. The location is unbeatable and the bed was really comfortable. The room was a good size too.

Especially good, the boss is also good, gave a lot of help. The hotel is clean and strategically located. At the door are KFC and McDonald's, as well as large supermarkets. Very convenient.

Stayed two nights in Wellington and overall, it was quite good. 👍 The front desk is on the 7th floor, and most rooms are on higher floors, offering nice views. The room was reasonably spacious and had heating, which was really helpful in early winter. Breakfast is on the 6th floor and had a decent variety. The only downside is that you have to go up a flight of stairs from the street to get to the hotel, which isn't very convenient for guests with large luggage. Sometimes the escalator next to the street isn't even working, so you have no choice but to carry everything up.
