I had a wonderful stay at Mercure Mactan Cebu! What I particularly love about this hotel is its excellent location within Mactan Newtown, one of the most convenient areas to stay in Mactan. Restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and other establishments are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area without having to travel far. The location is also ideal for those who want to enjoy Mactan while remaining close to the airport and other attractions on the island. I especially appreciate the convenience of having practically everything within reach. Overall, Mercure Mactan Cebu is a great choice for both leisure and business travelers. Its strategic location in Mactan Newtown is definitely one of its biggest advantages. Highly recommended!

HONEST EXPERIENCE and Please read for the CONS🧡 Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier. The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening. However, there were also areas that could be improved. Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming. The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns. Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities. Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We always have such a wonderful experience staying here! ❤️ The resort is truly worth the price, especially for families with kids. There are so many amenities and activities that the kids really enjoy, making every stay fun and memorable. The staff are very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming to all guests. We also appreciate that the atmosphere is comfortable and not overly strict, so we can really relax and enjoy our time together as a family. The food is also delicious! 😋 Every time we stay here, we always leave happy and satisfied. This has become one of our favorite places to celebrate our kids’ birthdays and special occasions. 🎂🎉 That’s why we keep coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Stay Review Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the hotel. What I liked: * The room is very spacious and clean. * The staff are warm, friendly, and accommodating. * The swimming pools are well-maintained. * The hotel feels very secure and safe. Areas for improvement: * Parking area: The parking area was flooded with stagnant water. I hope management can install a visible caution sign to warn guests. In my experience, I was unable to use my car at night because the water surrounding my vehicle was too deep to safely pass through. * Bathtub safety: I strongly recommend providing a rubber anti-slip mat in the bathtubs. The surface can be very slippery and may pose a safety risk, especially for senior citizens. * For guests traveling with seniors: I suggest informing the hotel in advance so they can provide a room closer to the pool or common areas and, if possible, a room with a bathroom that does not have a bathtub. Overall, it was a good stay, and I appreciate the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. I hope management can address these safety concerns to make the experience even better, especially for families traveling with elderly guests.

Location wise, this is pefect. You can just take any public transport and you are there when you get off. The staff are very well trained, very nice and very polite. Everything looked very clean and even if the hotel is not that big, they had a badminton/volleball courts. There is enough beach front to walk around. For a Lapu-lapu beach, their beach is clean enough as well. They had plenty of covered lounge couches to enjoy beach front even under the sun. The pool is small but it feels clean. We paid an extra ₱ 500 to get the ”upgrade” for the ocean view and it was our biggest mistake causing us to lose sleep. Apparently, the room assigned to us was part of an adjoining room and the sound insulation was terrible. We can hear everything happening in the other room and unfortunately the couple in the other room were going at it very loudly (the girl was shouting) until around 5 in the morning. We don't recommend the breakfast buffet as well especially if you are paying the extra ₱1,100 for another person. Very few choices, very salty meat dishes and we don't know exactly what caused it but we had a stomachache after breakfast.

First the cons , their in room dining and housekeeping delivery is very very slow. .For getting a bottle of water l had to wait for more than 30 mins and 5 calls . it might be cuz it was a Friday night . l didn't like their straightup bar , ambience was good but the cocktails weren't good .infact one of the cocktails l told them to change as they completely missed my instructions . Now the Pros The Hotel sits just beside the IT park and it connects directly to the Ayala mall . the room we were in Studio room with kitchenette had all the things necessary for a corporate long stay , refer the pictures. It has a proper functional working table for remote workers . This location l found better than the SM city side . Room was clean , comfortable beds . lot of space in the cupboard .didn't get a chance to use their swimming pool . Very modern rooms probably newly renovated or built .

Staying overnight in Cebu after taking a boat from Siquijor, before flying back to Hong Kong the next day. Took a Grab from the ferry terminal to the hotel, which wasn't far. Arrived a bit late, around 7 PM, so we decided to have dinner at the Holiday Inn CEBU CITY by IHG. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. The hotel maintained the brand's usual standards. We even experienced our first fire alarm here, which turned out to be a false alarm. Dinner and the alarm incident caused a bit of a commotion. My child was very excited to experience a fire alarm at an overseas hotel for the first time, and we handled it calmly. The area around the hotel is quite bustling, and overall it was a good stay.

We booked 2 sea-view rooms, but if you’re staying on the lower floors, you’ll mostly see the rooftops instead of the sea. I also wouldn’t recommend visiting during this month/season because of the low tide. I feel like it would be better to visit during summer when the water is clearer and the beach is more enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming, and they even provided welcome drinks! The service was exceptional, the Wi-Fi in the rooms worked well, and the AC was nice and cold. The building also looks new and well-maintained. The only concern was the check-in process—it took quite a while, and we waited for about an hour before we could check in. However, they were kind enough to offer us a late check-out to make up for the waiting time, which we really appreciated. Breakfast buffet is 5 stars! All in all, we had a good experience. I’d definitely consider coming back, this time with my husband! ❤️

This hotel is located in Mactan Newtown, which is known for being the safest, cleanest, and most modern area. Across the street, you'll find the Mercure (formerly Belmont) Hotel and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. The private beach and outdoor pool are major advantages of the Savoy. The breakfast restaurant operates as an all-day dining establishment. With popular restaurants and spas within a 5-minute radius, the Savoy is always an excellent choice for accommodation.

This is my first time booking this hotel and I thought I will never have a chance to stay here. Before my wedding, I booked this hotel since it’s near the church location. We enjoyed the stay. It’s just that we did not get to enjoy the TV because YouTube or other apps won’t work. All throughout the stay we weren’t able to use the TV. Also I called the lobby 5x to ask for a replacement for the 2 mugs for coffee before someone actually gets there to replace it AT THE MORNING. Haven’t also had the time to enjoy pool because we check in late. But their service is good. The hotel is nice. I will surely book again if their TV is already fixed lol. Also two key cards for room and elevator is really hassle on our part. It should’ve been 1 key card, all access, 2pcs since we’re 2 adults. I really appreciate the hotel staff for catering my entourage, we were able to prepare before my wedding and took some pictures at the lobby and pool. Thank you!
