PpogbackMy stay in an executive room during this Chongqing trip was absolutely flawless from start to finish. It offered an unparalleled experience, making it an excellent choice for a holiday or extended stay in Chongqing. Everything far exceeded my expectations, providing comfort and a sense of calm throughout. What truly impressed and won me over was the Regent Hotel's meticulous and thoughtful service, easily making it the benchmark for high-end hotel service in Chongqing. From the moment I arrived for check-in, the staff were professional, gentle, and impeccably polite. The doorman warmly greeted me, assisted with parking and luggage, and handled everything with gracious humility. The front desk check-in process was efficient and quick, with staff patiently explaining hotel facilities, guest benefits, and local sightseeing tips. The communication felt natural and comfortable. Throughout my stay, the entire team maintained a high standard of service, responding promptly and thoroughly. Room cleaning was meticulous and attentive, with amenities, mini-bar drinks, and local snacks replenished daily. The room was spotless, tidy, and pleasantly fragrant. All requests were handled quickly and appropriately, with attentive service that wasn't intrusive, perfectly embodying the quality of a top-tier luxury hotel. I felt completely at ease and comfortable the entire time. My executive room had an exceptional overall feel, with an open and airy layout and a spacious ambiance. The decor blended elegant Chinese aesthetics with modern minimalist luxury design, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The layout was well-designed, and the soft furnishings were exquisite. The warm lighting created a soothing ambiance. The room's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring quiet and privacy, leading to superb rest. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered unrivaled views of the confluence of the two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula cityscape. Whether relaxing or soaking in the tub, I could enjoy the riverside view, immersing myself in the mountainous city's scenery. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The executive room's exclusive mini-bar was refreshed daily with complimentary drinks and snacks. Various thoughtful daily essentials were perfectly provided, with attention to every detail, making for a luxurious and pleasant living experience. The dining experience was equally outstanding, with dishes that excelled in color, aroma, and taste, balancing both quality and flavor. The hotel offered a rich selection of meals, catering to both local Chongqing flavors and exquisite Western cuisine. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including regular Western pastries, hot dishes, congee, and fresh fruit drinks, as well as authentic Chongqing noodles and pea and meat sauce noodles, full of local character. Executive room guests also enjoyed exclusive executive lounge benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The food was exquisitely prepared and diverse, in a quiet, less crowded setting, offering greater privacy and a full sense of exclusive treatment. Additionally, the hotel's main dining options, specialty hotpot, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor are all worth experiencing. The ingredients are premium, and the cooking is done with care. The Two Rivers Bar boasts a prime view of the river at night, offering a double delight for both sight and taste with the evening breeze and delicious food. The hotel's public facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The high-altitude heated swimming pool was quiet and uncrowded, allowing me to swim while enjoying river views. The gym had professional and well-equipped machinery to meet daily workout needs. The spa and relaxation areas were well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a tiring journey. The public areas exuded elegant style, with a sophisticated fragrance, creating a tranquil and refined environment where every snapshot looked like a professional photograph. Overall, my impression of the stay was that Regent Chongqing enjoys a prime location with unparalleled views of the two rivers, complemented by impeccable, thoughtful service, excellent dining, a high-quality executive room environment, and comprehensive facilities. Everything was executed to perfection. With the added executive privileges, the overall value for money and comfort were significantly enhanced, creating a tranquil and luxurious sanctuary in the bustling mountain city. Next time I visit Chongqing, Regent Chongqing will still be my top choice, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends traveling or vacationing in Chongqing. It's truly worth revisiting.

QQingjiaowoqingfenggegeI was in town for a business trip and decided to try this hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which left a great impression. The accommodations were also excellent. Crucially, I had a great night's sleep (the first night was a bit noisy, but I realized after waking up that I hadn't closed the window; once shut, it was perfectly quiet). I will definitely continue to choose this hotel for my monthly business trips.

JJonaswqThe hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Jiefangbei, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Chongqing’s top attractions. Popular spots like Shibati (18 Steps), Raffles City, Luohan Temple, Kuixing Tower, and Shancheng Alley are all within easy walking distance, while Hongyadong is just a quick 5-minute stroll away. The service was excellent, and the room was well-equipped and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We specifically chose this hotel because of the large windows and the view shown in the photos. However, the room we initially received did not match the pictures at all. The windows were much smaller, and the view from the bed – which was clearly shown in the photos – was not possible in our room. The main issue is that the photos used for this room category are misleading in two ways. First, some of the main photos show floor-to-ceiling glass walls without any frames. We were later told by the staff that such windows do not even exist in the building due to structural reasons. Second, the other photos do show real rooms, but all of them have full glass walls across one side of the room. This was also not the case in the room we received. So overall, the images do not accurately represent what guests actually get when booking this category. We raised this issue and were asked to move rooms the next day, which meant packing everything again during our trip. The new room, however, had almost the same window size and the living area was even smaller, so it felt like a downgrade rather than a solution. After further discussions, we were told that our room corresponds to the booked category. This is exactly the problem: if this is the correct category, then the photos used for advertising are clearly misleading. Eventually, we were told we could move again the next day, so only for the last 2 nights received a room that actually matched what we expected. This means that during a 4-night stay, we had to change rooms twice and slept in three different beds. Unfortunately, while this final room finally matched some of the pictures we saw when booking, it had not been properly cleaned. There was visible dust and quite a lot of hair in the room. At that point, we decided not to raise another complaint, as the whole situation had already taken too much time and energy. Communication with the staff regarding these issues was inconsistent and frustrating. The language barrier probably played a part in it, but we really felt misled by the staff several times. We spent several hours discussing this issue and received different explanations at different times, which made the situation even more confusing. In the end, we were offered a free breakfast on our last morning and compensation of 200 RMB, which we do not consider adequate given the inconvenience of the long discussions, the multiple room changes, and the fact that we spent half of our stay in rooms that did not match what we booked. Overall, the service in handling this issue was poor, and the room presentation on the booking platform does not reliably reflect what guests can expect to receive. While the view itself was undoubtably beautiful because of the high floors the hotel is on, we would recommend other guests to clearly check which room they are booking and to get in touch with the staff before you arrive to confirm you are actually getting a room that matches your expectations.

GGuest UserStaying at Bolian Resort truly felt luxurious. This was my first time experiencing a high end resort in China, and I chose Bolian over other options in the area, including Banyan Tree Hot Springs, with very high expectations. While it is not perfect, I’m glad to say that it does meet the standards of a luxury resort. The level of service and attention to detail, even with the language barrier, was comparable to what I’ve experienced at other top tier hotels like Park Hyatt. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the staff for fulfilling my personal request to have berries and chocolate prepared in my room. What really touched me was the towel art and flower petal decorations on the bed, thoughtfully arranged to mark a very personal occasion, which was celebrating my mental health recovery. Seeing the Mandarin character for “happy” placed on the bed felt very endearing. It was a small gesture, but one that felt genuinely kind and thoughtful. Other aspects of the service were just as impressive. While I was away enjoying the Bolian hot spring spa, the staff prepared my room for the evening by lighting all the mini candles, mopping the floor, and creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere for my return. That level of attention to detail really stood out. That said, I did notice a small oversight. The tea filter I had used for my pu’er tea was still left in the sink, which suggested that housekeeping may have been rushing, possibly knowing I would be returning sooner than expected. It was minor, but noticeable in an otherwise polished experience. The hot spring amenities, both in the room and around the resort, were amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I also appreciated how attentive the staff were at night, especially when guests were walking along the hot spring paths in the dark. The unexpected room upgrade was a lovely surprise as well, so thank you for that. Overall, I had a very pleasant and restorative stay. However, one thing that really affected my experience was the breakfast. The breakfast was honestly disappointing for a resort of this standard. The options were limited, the presentation was not great, and the overall quality fell short of expectations. I have uploaded photos with this review in the hope that management can improve this area. To be frank, breakfast took away from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. Being served ONE CHICKEN FOOT as part of the spread was highly amusing, but not in a good way. I have had much better Chongqing noodles and dim sum at local eateries for a fraction of the price. For a meal priced at around 200 yuan, it felt hard to justify......This is where people often say not to eat at five star hotels because the better food is usually found on the streets. It was disappointing that Bolian’s breakfast ended up reinforcing this stereotype... In summary, Bolian Resort shines when it comes to service, atmosphere, attentiveness, and hot spring facilities. With a serious improvement to the breakfast, it could easily become a truly excellent luxury experience.

WWonder JoThe overall the experience was decent with some notable pros and cons. On the positive side, the room is of a proper size for two people, with a spacious shower area, design is thoughtful, including space to hang clothes conveniently. The bed is comfortable, and soundproofing is generally tolerable. The location is right in the heart of the tourist area, within walking distance to plenty of food and souvenir shops just downstairs. However, it can get very crowded due to this. Breakfast is acceptable, though not particularly outstanding. One key downside is accessibility. Even when requesting a taxi to drop off at B2 level for easier lift access with luggage, drivers may refuse with various reasons. The alternative route requires carrying luggage up a flight of stairs, and the slope is quite steep, which is not convenient when handling heavier bags (around 20kg). Overall, a comfortable stay in terms of room and location, but accessibility could be challenging for travelers with large luggage.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right opposite the Twin Towers, offering expansive views and beautiful scenery, especially at night. Behind the hotel is the White Elephant Street area, making it super convenient to get to Shibati as well. The hotel pool was the biggest surprise of our trip to Chongqing! It has three floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a translucent ceiling, making it incredibly bright and airy. We'd go out sightseeing in the morning, come back for an afternoon nap, and then the kids would have a blast swimming and playing in the water! 🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️

Jjade 玉Pretty good, it's a Home Inn. It's conveniently located right across from Hongyadong and near Jiefangbei. Our room was on the 16th floor, and maybe because of the high floor, it wasn't too noisy at night. However, there was no air conditioning available this season, only heating, which is centrally controlled. I requested a fan, but it still felt stuffy and hot, causing me to wake up several times during the night. It has its own elevator, which feels a bit safer.

SShiqiaishiqiTraveling to Chongqing with my daughter, after comparing several options, I chose this hotel. I didn't have particularly high expectations, but we were very satisfied after checking in. The hotel room was very clean and stylish, and the loft room was spacious. The front desk staff was very welcoming during check-in, helping us with our luggage and providing information about the surrounding area. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing, and I've already recommended it to all my friends.

HHuifeideniu168The service at Le Méridien Chongqing, Fuli, is top-notch and highly professional. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and all my questions were answered clearly. Room service was prompt and attentive, with thorough cleaning that didn't disrupt my stay. The dining area staff were polite, proactive, yet discreet. Throughout my stay, the service procedures were standardized, and the staff were friendly and patient. They responded quickly to my requests, showing excellent judgment. The facilities were well-maintained and functional, and the cleanliness met high standards, which was reassuring. There was no excessive upselling, making for a fair and comfortable experience. It's suitable for both business travel and casual stays, offering outstanding value for money.
