Beppu Hotels with balcony

"Celebrated 520 (May 20th) by booking a more upscale meal that day, and the experience was great ❤️. The location is fantastic! It's a 5-minute walk to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), so we went straight there after breakfast when it was less crowded. Regarding service, I have to say: it was the rainy season, and there were many staff members standing at the entrance, but they only bowed. It felt awkward watching adults and children run into the hotel in the rain to check in, and checking out involved carrying our own luggage in the rain too."

"Transportation: Very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to JR Beppu Station. For my bus trip to Fukuoka, the bus stop (right outside Starbucks) was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Facilities: This is a resort-style hotel, and I was lucky enough to snag a sea-view room where the first rays of morning sun streamed directly in. The room was very spacious, more than enough for two people; it actually felt a bit large for just myself. It was approximately 10 tatami mats in size (excluding the bathroom, separate toilet, entryway, and balcony). Cleanliness: As it was a Japanese-style room, it was generally clean, but there were some small bugs. I got a few bites on my fingers and bottom, but they cleared up by the next day. Ambiance: The balcony offered a direct view of the ocean. The 260-degree sea view room was truly impressive. Service: Overall, the service was very good. The only area that needs improvement is the hot spring on the 7th floor. On the day of my arrival, I made a reservation for the hot spring with the hotel, but I didn't receive any confirmation or proof. Consequently, I didn't actually go. However, I was still charged either 1000 or 1500 yen for it at check-out. It's a small amount, so I didn't bother disputing it with the front desk, but I do think their booking and confirmation process for the hot spring needs significant improvement."

"This is my second time choosing this hotel! Absolutely impeccable. If you're driving to Fukuoka, I highly recommend this place. The food is great, the rooms are comfortable, and it even has a private onsen. It's a total win! 🫰🏼"

"The hotel is a work of art — the architecture and design are incredible. I got a room on the first floor, and I’m usually not a fan of staying on the first floor for security reasons, but everything was perfectly fine. The room was very spacious, clean, and had all the amenities, including skincare products. My favorite part was the bath, especially when you open the doors and fresh air comes in — such a relaxing experience. And the breakfast… the best omelet I’ve ever had."

"Initially, I was torn between choosing between Kai Beppu and Harumi, and I'm so glad I ultimately went with Harumi. From the service to the facilities, this onsen (hot spring) ranks as one of the best I've visited in Japan, alongside Izu, Arima, and Karuizawa. Enjoying a hot soak with family, then relaxing on the balcony listening to the ocean waves while sipping a drink—it was such a perfect evening. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding, featuring many local specialties. I'll definitely be back!"

"I've stayed here before, and this time I brought a friend and booked a larger room. It's a historic inn, but the building and decor don't feel old at all. The Japanese-style room has a really nice vibe, and the smell of the tatami mats is so soothing. The room itself is incredibly spacious; I honestly think three or four people could comfortably stay in that one large tatami room. On the top floor, there's a hot spring with one indoor bath, a small outdoor bath, and a small sauna, all using natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but all the dishes are local specialties or popular items from Oita Prefecture, so you'll definitely eat well and feel full. The downstairs parking used to be free, but now it costs 700 yen per night."

"I was worried because there weren't many Korean reviews recently. This was my first trip to Japan, and I really wanted to go to Beppu, but I was worried about where to stay. I booked this accommodation after looking at the photos of the interior without even looking at the location, but when I made the reservation, it turned out that it was located a bit far away from the downtown area! However, since the purpose of going to Beppu was the hot springs, I felt it was a great advantage to be able to use the hot springs within walking distance from my accommodation. The accommodation is really clean and cozy, but also spacious and comfortable! The bed was so soft that I slept well until morning without waking up even once! Also, they say it is difficult because the accommodation is on a hill, but since the trip is a series of walks anyway, I was able to experience the Japanese countryside and it was really nice! ♥ And thanks to the host who kindly guided me, I felt really good! If I go on a trip to Fukuoka, I will definitely go to Beppu again, and I intend to visit this accommodation again! Thank you so much for giving me happy memories :-)"

"I liked the hotel. Very good selection for breakfast and dinner, convenient onsens, amenities of good quality and wide selection of shampoos, face cleansers, creams, etc. I liked infinity bath on the 7th floor, but due to the strong wind I could enjoy it for long time. However sunset and full moon were do beautiful and bath was comfortably hot. There are table tennis, billiard, massage chairs and gaming machines in the basement, omiyage shop. I liked choose of sizes and colors of yukatas too."

"The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view."
