The receptionist was very nice. We arrived at 10 AM and were allowed to check in early, which we really appreciated. The room was a bit small for two people with medium sized suitcases, but it was very clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping does not automatically replace the bed sheets or bathrobes every day unless you request it. However, towels are replaced daily.
When booking, I requested a room that was not on the corner, but we were assigned a corner room instead. However, this was not a major issue.
There are 2 convenience stores next to the hotel, making it easy to buy anything you need. The hotel is also conveniently located near a bus stop and Gongdeok Station (Exit 1). If you're traveling with large luggage, there is an elevator at Exit 5, although you'll need to cross the street to access it.
Overall, we had a very nice stay.

A friend recommended this place. I'd say it's pretty average, but for the price, the facilities and room size are decent enough.

The 6017 airport bus drops you off right across from the hotel. (Definitely don't miss your stop! I went one stop too far and had to walk ages, it was exhausting).

There are indeed lots of food options nearby, on the other side, not too far. It's also close to the subway station.

However, perhaps because it's so close to the subway, you can hear the subway cars in the morning. (I know they've done a lot for soundproofing, but still). If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider.

My room was assigned right next to the elevator (I wonder if it's because I checked in late 😩). In the middle of the night, you can hear the elevator and people moving around 😣. So, if you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest asking the front desk for a different room.

The most frustrating part was charging my devices – first time I've encountered this.

There was only one outlet by the bed 🔌 (only realized before going to sleep). And it was unstable! I don't know why, but it kept disconnecting even after I plugged it in. It was like I finally got it to connect, only for it to fall out again in the middle of the night – it almost gave me a heart attack. (I wish I had checked during a room tour, but I was too tired at the time to inspect anything).

Then there were two outlets by the desk, but they were too far from the bed.

One good thing was the toilet 🚽. It was heated and automatic, just like at home 👍.

The front desk staff were very helpful and assisted with calling a taxi (at the time, I couldn't get an Uber no matter what; it was really hard to get a cab to Hannam-dong, so frustrating. Maybe it was because it was evening 🤔). Their English was also very good, so communication wasn't an issue.

I guess this hotel would be very convenient if you're going to a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome (because my friend went there). But if you're going to a theater, it's probably better to choose a closer hotel.

We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island.

• Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel.
• Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers.
• Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations.
• Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM.


✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning.

Noise alert for City view rooms: Construction outside the hotel. Even when vehicles pass by the street you will heard the noise whole night. I’m at 17 floors still can hear the noise. Not for light sleepers.

This construction is not ending anytime soon but will be great to stay in the future. (Yeongdong-daero Underground Complex Development Project expected to finish by 2028)

Lobby is on 21st floor (top floor): You can leave your key card in your room and leave the door open when checking out if you do not have any additional purchase. You also can store your luggage at lobby after check out. 

Of course convenietly located across COEX mall and approx 30 min walk to Dosan area (Gentle monster, Atissu, Wiggle wiggle, London bagel house, etc)

Check-in was quick and easy. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, plenty of towels, and a good selection of toiletries. The view from the window was lovely.
Within a 1km radius, there are numerous convenience stores and Olive Young shops, as well as many snack bars, which was super convenient for us. It's also a half-hour walk to the Seoul Arts Center, which was perfect.
The mini-fridge was a bit small, and the microwave was only available at the front desk, which was a minor drawback.

The hotel is clean and tidy, located right off the main road, making it very convenient for getting to Gangnam. There are many small, affordable restaurants around the hotel, which is great! If you're coming from Incheon Airport, you can take bus 6703 or 6020; just get off and cross the street. The last bus runs until 10:55 PM. The hotel provides free travel adaptors which you can pick up at the front desk. Most of the front desk staff speak English.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Getting here from the airport was a breeze; the bus goes directly to the stop right below the hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic, close to all the attractions. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I noticed a wonderful scent. The front desk staff were incredibly polite, professional, warm, and very patient. The room was spotless, and the bedding was impeccably clean, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, being on a higher floor, the view was exceptional!

The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from the airport. There's a bus stop right outside, and the 202 bus makes it easy to explore the west side of the city at a leisurely pace. Upon check-in, we received two complimentary coffees. I absolutely loved the hotel's coffee shop and the walking path outside by the pool – the endless glass-like sea views were incredibly therapeutic! I'll definitely be back if I get the chance.

This hotel is quite conveniently located. There's a bus stop and convenience store right outside, and a large Olive Young isn't far away. It's also very close to the duty-free shop, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The lobby feels quite upscale and looks luxurious. The room was well-cleaned and very tidy. The main downside is that the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor, so those with light sleep should be cautious. The staff service was average, and the breakfast was quite mediocre. The cafe on the 12th floor offers drinks in the evening and isn't expensive, but it can get very noisy with many Koreans having loud gatherings. The view, however, is pretty good.

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to everything. There's a convenience store right outside, and getting a taxi is easy. Plus, there's a bakery across the street perfect for breakfast. The beach is also directly opposite the hotel, and the monorail station is very close by.

Facilities: There's a gym available, and you can pay extra for breakfast and lunch. The lunch here is surprisingly good and much more cost-effective than eating out, especially compared to a BBQ meal. The entire hotel looks very new and fresh, making it a pleasant stay.

Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, which made for a very comfortable experience. It's a bit far from the city center, but that has its advantages – it's incredibly quiet, perfect for a business trip. There are plenty of food options nearby; you can find everything just by walking around downstairs. I only had BBQ once in four days, but I explored the area multiple times.

Service: Everyone greets you with 'Ari-ari-assayo.' The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but they all speak English. A lovely lady at the Chinese restaurant speaks excellent Chinese. Bed linen and towels were changed promptly. Overall, the service was great.
