Stayed for two nights.
Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved.
There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl.
Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

Guest UserThis hotel was a fantastic choice for my solo trip! The only minor issue was the noisy doors, which aren't soundproofed. However, the overall environment was excellent, and the complimentary afternoon tea and dinner were wonderful. The braised pork rice was so delicious I had multiple bowls every day! Downstairs, there's a self-service laundry, a coffee shop, and a 7-Eleven. Many attractions are within walking distance, too. I love Tainan, and I really enjoyed my stay at Zhaixia Du.

Guest UserThis hotel really added a bonus to my trip in Tainan. It was honestly comfortable till the stage when the day ended, we actually looked forward to return to the hotel (didn’t feel like a hotel anymore, but more like going home)
The location is really good too. It’s in a pretty open area surrounded by residential places, markets, and sports areas, so everything is quite convenient. Places like Shennong Street and other attractions are about a 15-18 minute walk away. The whole area is nice for city walks, just casually walking around also feels interesting.
The room itself is new, clean, and well designed. Bathroom has proper dry-wet separation feels really nice and relaxing. The bed is also super comfortable and clean (there was just a few tiny hole, but it didn’t really affect anything)
Overall, the whole place has a really nice vibe. Good service, good room, good location, honestly very worth it for the price. My friend and I really liked it, and we didn’t really want to leave when we checked out.

Ready to dive into Tainan’s captivating old streets and creative energy? The Kindness Day Hotel exceeded my expectations from the get-go—think comfy amenities, a breakfast buffet you’ll dream about, and a location that puts you just steps from historic hot spots like Guohua Street, You'ai Night Market, and Anping Old Street. 🏮
Staying here means you’re in the heart of it all! Arrive by taxi or hop on the train—either way, you’re within easy reach of Tainan’s iconic foodie walks, temples, and that ruggedly photogenic Anping coastline. The wooden tableware at breakfast is a lovely touch; it matches the bright, modern interiors and gives serious “insta-worthy” vibes, especially on sunny mornings.
What sets Kindness Day apart? Free bikes for breezy city exploring, a 24-hour supply of coffee and ice cream (essential fuel for full travel days!), and a guest laundry so you can pack light. Got a craving late at night? From 7 to 10 pm, there are free snacks and beverages to keep those midnight munchies at bay.
The staff really make the stay—everyone is genuinely helpful and always ready to guide you or share local tips for the best photo angles and hidden gems. If you love snapping pics, check out the modern light-filled lobby and take your camera out to the nearby vibrant outdoor art scenes.
Book early on trip.com for the best rates, and try to time your snack breaks for that magical 7-10 pm window. Tainan tip: plan a walking route from the hotel—hit the night markets, then unwind at Anping’s outdoor spots before heading back for dessert and downtime.

海梧The hotel is conveniently located next to Tainan Railway Station. As an established five-star hotel, there's no need to worry about cleanliness or service. My room on the 30th floor, facing the train station, offered a clear view of the Tainan coastline and skyline, which was absolutely beautiful. The fitness center, sauna facilities, and pool were all excellent. The turndown service was a thoughtful touch, providing fresh slippers and even tidying up the room again.
Holding it to the higher standards of a five-star hotel, I'll nitpick a few areas that, if improved, would make it even better: Firstly, the hairdryer was underpowered and old – a 1200w model from 2018. It took almost 20 minutes to dry my hair, which was quite annoying. Secondly, the front desk hotline. I called the front desk about five times, and twice my calls went unanswered. Once was at 9 PM and another time at 11 AM, neither of which are unusual hours. This kind of issue shouldn't happen. Thirdly, the hotel facilities. Perhaps because it's an older hotel, there were slight signs of aging in the room's amenities, and the main light control was a bit inconvenient.
Overall, however, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff's attitude was impeccable, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Anonymous UserHad a pleasant time in this hotel. Provided snacks and drinks daily. The male staff that was at the reception at night was very helpful in helping us call local shops and finding things. The breakfast was also delicious! Would return next time!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was very cozy, clean, and nicely decorated, making it a comfortable place to relax after a long day. Everything was well-prepared and felt very welcoming.
One of the highlights was definitely the onsen — it was spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The environment was peaceful and relaxing, and it felt incredibly comfortable soaking there. It really helped us unwind and made the whole experience even more memorable.
Overall, this was truly one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back again! 😊

The staff were really friendly, and the facilities were great too. We had a mud hot spring on the balcony, so we didn't even have to go downstairs to soak. It made for a very relaxing and enjoyable day.

The hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket.
The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip.
