I stayed for 3 days, and the service mostly met my expectations. They helped with luggage, and the turndown service and daily room cleaning were all provided as they should be.
The rooftop bar also offers a nice view.
There's a gym and a pool downstairs too.
Breakfast really depends on the main course you order; after a few days, I found the English breakfast and Eggs Benedict to be quite good.
The room had high ceilings, and the view outside the window was also pleasant.
Since it's right next to the City Park, it's very close to the station for the Airport Express (CAT) and places like the Musikverein (Golden Hall).
From the hotel, you can reach Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, or Hofburg Palace within 20 minutes by metro or tram.
By the way, buying a city card that includes the airport pass is quite worthwhile (the hop-on hop-off bus didn't seem to have much purpose).
Public transport is excellent; the metro and trams are very well-developed, and they run late, pretty much covering everything you'd need.
The CAT goes directly from the airport to City Park in one stop, taking only 16 minutes.

77613809The hotel room is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and meets a 4-star standard. We were given a courtyard-facing room, which was very quiet as it wasn't facing the street. The breakfast is excellent, and they even serve champagne on Sunday mornings. The hotel is only two intercity train stops from the Central Station, and it's just a few hundred meters walk from the train station. Nearby, there's a Lidl supermarket and many restaurants. Tram line 71 stops right outside the hotel; taking it to the left will take you to many city attractions. Turning left outside the hotel also leads directly to the entrance of the Belvedere Palace, which is incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to independent travelers!

Guest UserI really enjoyed my stay at SO/Vienna. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The included minibar was great —well-stocked with high-quality snacks and drinks. I have the cathedral view room, enjoyed very minute.
Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Joebelle made both check-in and check-out seamless and genuinely pleasant. The gentleman who assisted with my luggage was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. The level of hospitality throughout the hotel was outstanding.
I highly recommend SO/Vienna.
And of course, Das Loft offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city—an absolute highlight of the stay.

the solo traveler 3unbeatable location in terms of airport transit accessibility. there is a train station right across the road, and it connects directly (no stops) to the airport via express train(CAT). also, the major vienna tourist spots are all very near(walking distance) or easy to go because, again, the train station is so close.
the breakfast buffet had a good selection of food and were pretty tasty. the room felt clean enough upon arrival, although i did find a previous guest’s wifi info card under the bed. you can drink from the tap. the water tasted good enough.

Anonymous UserI've stayed at this hotel many times, but this visit wasn't smooth. I arrived at 11:30 PM, and even though there were only two people ahead of me, it took almost an hour to check in. The check-in process was incredibly cumbersome and inefficient. After finally getting to my room, I found there was no electricity. The front desk said the hotel was full, which led to another wait. I finally got a new room and settled in by 1:30 AM. This whole ordeal significantly lowered my opinion of the place. The location and value for money are what I value most about this hotel, but the front desk service and efficiency definitely need improvement. Also, I noticed that the kitchenette used to be well-stocked with cookware and utensils like pots and bowls, but now there are very few. If you want more, you have to pay 25 Euros to rent additional kitchenware.

I stay in this hotel for 6 nights, generally the room is clean, but room cleaning service is slow, some day after I left hotel in the morning and return around 4pm but room was not clean…
The room seems do not have heater as maximum temperature is 25C, no heat mode…
One safety concern is the door mechanical lock was not working to my opinion as when we lock it manually/mechanically, we still able to open the door from outside with room key, feedback to reception but their feedback is this is normal, it can use room key to open the door even door is mechanically shut inside….
Generally the reception is not as friendly/ helpful, probably
On the other hand, the location is very good, walking distance to Vienna main train station and city train, convenient to go any place of interest.
