It was surprisingly good, with a prime location right at the entrance to Gulou East Street. It's a stark contrast to the bustling streets. The courtyard is divided into two parts: the front is the restaurant, and the back is the accommodation. It's incredibly quiet. Newly renovated in a quaint style, the whole house is smart and immaculately clean. From the rooftop, you can watch drone shows without having to squeeze in on the main street. Overall, I was very satisfied. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Datong and recommend it to friends.

The biggest advantage of this store is of course its location, as it is located in the ancient city’s bell tower scenic area. When I arrived at the ancient city of Datong, I saw customers queuing up next to the hotel waiting for their number to be called at the internet-famous noodle shop ”Xijindao”, as well as the high-decibel noise of the surrounding shops using loudspeakers to attract customers. I suddenly felt a chill in my heart, and worried that I would not be able to sleep well in the next few days. Unexpectedly, after moving in, although the windows faced the downtown, the noise could not be heard as long as the windows were closed. The soundproof windows had a very high coefficient. I felt relieved immediately (in fact, the noise from the crowds died down after 9:30 pm). The sound insulation between the room next door is not very good, if the other party speaks loudly, we will hear it. Maybe the partitions in the old house can’t completely block it off! The store's service attitude is super good and super friendly. Because I was traveling alone, I originally booked the smallest room online, but the hotel took the initiative to upgrade me to a larger room. I am very grateful. Moreover, the staff at the counter are very friendly to the customers, just like the older brothers and sisters next door, and their enthusiasm is not at all pretentious. The facilities in the room are also very clean and generous, with great attention to detail. There is also a washing machine available on the first floor. At this price, it is very good. The downside for me is that there is no breakfast which is a little annoying. The restaurants nearby are all popular online restaurants in tourist attractions. The earliest one to open is ”Xijindao” at 7 o'clock, but it is not good to eat knife-cut noodles every day. It is difficult to have porridge, steamed buns, etc. for breakfast, as you have to walk to a residential area far away. Also, there is no larger supermarket nearby, so if you want to buy some fruit you have to go outside the scenic area. But this is a good thing but it cannot be fully enjoyed. After all, being able to take a walk in front of the Huayan Temple every morning or take a look at the tranquility and leisure of the Grand Mosque next to it are all worth it.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies. My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily. The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing. I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

This hotel is very close to the Datong Ancient City direct train station. The room is incredibly spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic night view of the ancient city wall. The massage chair has basic functions. The projector can't be aimed directly, which is a bit of a minor inconvenience but not a deal-breaker. After all, for a holiday period, the value for money at this location and with this amount of space easily beats other hotels nearby.

Located in the core area of ​​Hunyuan County, the sports square is to the north, where at least 1,000 people play badminton🏸, and it is connected to the Hunyuan Prefecture Office. You can walk there through the breakfast yard (free entry and exit with room card). The front desk is a cultural and creative store where you can buy figurines and refrigerator magnets. Check-in will give you intangible cultural heritage jelly, and there are many coupons for the Hunyuan Prefecture Office (clothing, pot throwing, hoop tossing, archery), and you can watch performances at the Prefecture Office in the evening. Next to it are Yong'an Zen Temple and Yuanjue Temple. The environment is excellent, breakfast is intangible cultural heritage breakfast, and you can refill noodles.

Service: The hotel owner is very enthusiastic. It was very late when I arrived at the hotel, but the boss was still waiting for me at the door. He was very enthusiastic to help us check in. He told the boss that he was worried about the hot temperature of the room. The boss specially arranged the room on the first floor. I will bring friends to experience it next time~😁

The sanitation is generally not very careful. The toilet was not cleaned when I first checked in. There was a suspected ** on the sheets. 😩 I asked the aunt to clean it again. The breakfast arrangement was not careful. The location was relatively remote. The advantage was that it was close to the airport high-speed rail station, but it was not very good. Take a taxi, But it's not expensive to take a fast train in Datong.

The hotel is next to the Aegean Shopping Mall, near Datong Railway Station, and the bus is also convenient. In terms of food, there are many choices and people are frugal. In the community, the hotel is a small operation to provide different types of rooms. The equipment is easy to take care of and new, and the hygiene is qualified. The hotel lacks two bottles of water supply, and guests are required to buy it, － yuan a bottle. As another guest complained, the shower head and system are not working properly, and the replacement is not expensive, which will make the guest more comfortable to bathe. There are also three-type charging heads in the room, and ordinary hotels and hotels are generally lacking, which is heartwarming. The front desk is also enthusiastic.
